Service and Food was great!
Visiting from out of town. The building was awesome and food was delicious - shared the Holy Shi* with some appetizers - service was also exceptional!
We ordered the Holy ____ Breakfast. Aptly named! Everything was fantastic. Unique experience. Would recommend.
Fantastic food with great service. The table itself was rather small but the seating was comfortable and vibe for brunch was epic! Such great decor!
Great food. We both had the filet cooked perfectly.
We have visited many times. This was another great experience at 5Church.
Amazing food and great service!!
The service and location were outstanding. We were underwhelmed with the value for the $$$ we spent on the entrees. The old church is an amazing place to visit for an exciting date night.
Excellent service and the ambiance was great. The lunch menu was what we were looking for and the drink selection was very nice.
Excellent food and wine in a unique atmosphere. Very enjoyable!
We live in Charleston and decided to try this spot. The interior is absolutely amazing. Our waiter started out great, but then by the end, he wasn't around much. We aren't sure what happened as they weren't that busy. The prices of the food were pretty expensive. To be honest for the price, there are some better restaurants out there for taste wise.
Our table shared oysters, brussel sprout salad (excellent), Sushi tots (really good), meatballs for appetizers. For entree we had the pasta dish which was good, a ramen bowl- just ok, I don't like the smokey flavor, and steak entree that the other couple split.
The wine and drinks were good.
Each couple's bill was around $160, but we did each have 3 drinks. We would return to try again without just the appetizers.
The inside is cool enough to have drinks and just to check out.
Interesting place. Looks like an old chuch, has "The Art of War" written accross the (extremely vaulted) ceiling. I couldn't settle into a theme here - seemed not a settled vibe to me. Others obviously differ in their opinions. Food was good, selections were good too. Just not a place that wowed me. Perhaps I set the bar too high with my expectations.
Service was slow and the waiter was blowing hot air about himself. Atmosphere was weird and the write up did not mention the "anarchy" vibe about the restaurant. This was very surprising when arriving. The hostesses seemed annoyed to work!
Overall our Dining Experience was Great!! Kayla was really nice and all over us, excellent server!! The 60 second flash New York strip wasn't all that great , came out cold and Tuff, the potatoes were hard, and the broclini bitter..our Drinks were excellent, the high wire gin drink was amazing!! The wild Mushroom SIDE WAS The best mushroom side I have ever tasted!!!!Finally the citrus cheesecake was perfect!!!! The ambiance a little loud but super Fun..
Went for dinner with family. Server forgot a few things and they ended up coming out late. Overall experience was fine tho
Food was fabulous
Great atmosphere, waiter was great with history of restaurant and church. The wine was very good and the food was amazing. Try the sushi tots
Elvis, our server was so amazing and helpful and attentive! We reserved a lunch reservation for our daughter’s graduation in May!
Loved the atmosphere here. The sun streams in through the stained glass windows, the Art of War quotes on the ceiling, and the carefree feathers hanging over the bar, give it a unique artsy feel. We enjoyed our brunch. The menu is creative, portions are nice size and the staff was very attentive to us. We will be back!
The staff at 5 Church is so welcoming and really make you feel appreciated. The manager always checks in to make sure you enjoyed your meal and to see if there is anything you need. The brunch is awesome and I look forward to coming for dinner the next time I am in Charleston!
Wow. Go just to see the ceiling.
Beautiful space and delicious food. I only wish I would have known to request a table in the main church as we were seated on the side (which was still lovely) but the main space is stunning.
Our second time there and it was great! Thanks!
The food wasn’t good. My wife and I had the rib eye special and the meat was tough and not flavorful. The side dishes were bland.
Our must visit place for brunch when in Charleston, the mimosas are amazing; they are mostly champagne with a splash of OJ.
Amazing atmosphere and delicious food. Our server Justin was great and attentive and had great recommendations!
Great place for drinks or a meal!
Amazing spot!!! The ambiance, staff, food and drinks were super enjoyable. Highly recommend, especially for their $3 mimosas and brunch!
One of my all time favorite places in Charleston and it was my family's 1st time. Everyone loved their food, my personal favorite is the avocado toast topped with an egg. There is something for everyone in their menu and the service and atmosphere is amazing!! Can't recommend it enough!
It was not their night. They did the right thing and took care of it.
Not a bad dinner but disappointing even so....for future reference, don't go for dinner on Valentines day; instead try the day b4 or after...
The price fix menu was very interesting and our choices were excellent. However, it was Valentines Day so it felt like the goal of the establishment was turnover. Even in a hip place like this it’s not fun to feel rushed at $90-$125 per person. That being said, I would try it again.
Unfortunately there were a lot of food disasters throughout the evening that really disappointed our entire table of ten on Valentines Day, however they made up for it in a very respectable way.
The service was awesome and the location and art/decor was amazing!
Good Service...A little noisy...
Ate their Valentine’s Day. Every time the waiters and seating staff came by they would create a breeze. our candle would blow out when they came by real quick, they relit it 4 times. Food was fair but not worth the price as there’s better meals for half the cost. Was noisy, which could have been more related to our seating. Overall it was decent just overpriced for what you got for experience and value. Waitress took my drink to refill it and never brought it back till I had to ask for it. Also had to ask for a refill again after that. Doubt we’ll ever go back just didn’t give us a great experience.
I was disappointed that they did not inform you in advance or on their website that tgey were having a special menu. Prices were $90-100 per person. Very different from the normal menu.
The food was okay but the prices were ridiculous for what we received. I ordered medium rare steak and it came out well done. The experience and scenery is great but I definitely don’t need to go back.
Each time we return it gets better if that’s possible.
Food was exceptionally well prepared, dishes were well balanced, menu offered good variety. Nice yet professional service, intriguing atmosphere - read the ceiling.
