Paradise Reef Restaurant - South Shore Harbour Resort & Conference Center
They were closed??? Who knows why??? On our Wedding Anniversary???
Restaurant was closed on a Saturday night even though I made reservations on Open Table. I think it is out of business.
The restaurant was not open I drove an hour and the place was close. So disappoint
It’s closed and Open Table should be ashamed of themselves for still accepting reservations. Monitor your app and remove them.
We went to dinner and it was closed. Very disappointed.
Made reservations to surprise my wife for our anniversary on 06/29/2019 and to my surprise when we arrived the place was not open. At least 10 other people were standing in the parking lot who also had reservations. Attempted to call with no answer, nothing posted on the door or on their website as to why they did not open. What a horrible experience. Don’t waste your time on 707 Chophouse!!!! Hopefully they are closed for good.
We loved this place. So sad it’s closed.
My party of 10 arrived on time but the 707 Chophouse was closed!!!!! No sign or note on door!!!!!!!!!! Other people were driving up!!!!! Not sure what was going on???? Had to go to another restaurant to celebrate my sons 50th!!!!!!!
When I got to 707 a few minutes before my Open Table reservation, it was closed, locked and dark. Wouldn't have been bad if it was just me, but I had also invited a business guest and told him what a fine steak he could expect. So, disappointed is not an adequate word. Restaurants have an obligation to not accept reservations if they don't intend to honor them.
I reserved a table for the evening of 6-22-19. My fiancé and I arrived to find the 707 chophouse closed! Needless to say we had a wonderful dinner at Perry’s that night.
Made reservations for my girlfriends birthday and when I showed up the place was closed and nobody was in site. Answering machine doesn’t say anything about them closing either. They ruined a special surprise for my girlfriend and if they are still open will never get my business
It was closed down. Their website didn’t indicate the restaurant was closed. A person next door to the restaurant said it was closed for a few weeks. No notice given.
I can't review this place, because they were closed when we got there. Why accept reservations online if you are going to close. I'm still not certain if this was a one-time thing or if they are actually just closed. We were looking forward to the experience and were very let down.
My wife and I found 707 Chophouse when I was looking for a new option for Valentines day. We fell in love with the place. Food is excellent. The bartender has a great personality, and every time we go she makes us feel like old friends. The owner will come talk to us, its the way Dinner out should be.
I was very disappointed by this experience. The waitress was more than accommodating but the quality of food and price for items served were not worth it. I ordered a glass of champagne that was flat but exchanged out and the “artisan” cheese and fruit appetizer left much to be desired. The cheese was prepackaged cubes of cheddar and pepper jack and the fruit consisted of a heaping mount of old grapes and some dried cranberries.
While the establishment itself is unique and has interesting characteristics with opportunity for improvement, it is overpriced and leaves much to be desired.
We walked in and noone greeted us, the moment we did walk in the door it smelled of bad fish. Some girl said sit anywhere which we did and no one came so we left. Will never go back and have begun telling neighbors about our experience.
This was my first time to 707 CH. What a unique place. It's very quaint and the decor is really cool. All of the staff were fantastic. We ordered our steak medium-rare and it was a touch underdone, but other than that the food and the ambiance was fantastic! And, as much as I enjoy the Boardwalk, it was great to find this gem off the boardwalk.
We went to the 707 for our Anniversary to enjoy a nice quiet dinner. We were met at the door and taken to our table that was reserved for us. The service was prompt and very friendly. We ordered the Crab Cake Appetizer and I would say that it was every bit of 90% Crab meat ( we will return just for a crab cake). My wife ordered the Shrimp & Grits as her meal and I had the Red Snapper and both were cooked perfectly. The place was decorated very nice and we absolutely enjoy the entertainment of Mr. Scott Maxwell singing he even sang a song from me to my wife at our table which was a perfect ending to our dinner. Thank you 707 Chophouse and Scott Maxwell for a perfect evening we will be back to enjoy the food and entertainment again.
My wife and I ate here for our anniversary and found the restaurant to be very charming and delicious. We will definitely eat here again!
I visited Kemah Steak House several times prior to 707 Chophouse opened, Kemah Steak House was a lot better, Steaks typical of the well know Steak Houses, the issue with Kemah Steak House was the service was slow. In regards to 707 Chophouse, they were out of Baked Potatoes, we had to ask 3 times for Bread and the steak something like you would find at Bonanza Steakhouse, overall poor quality overall. Will not go back
Was nice atmosphere great steaks unfortunately they were out of most of the menu item i.e scallops, shrimp cocktail sea bass gorgonzola cheese for the salads
I will definitely be returning to 707 Chophouse for date night. I enjoyed everything from the atmosphere to this wonderful music from the gorgeous Kelly Williams. Delicious food and great service topped it off for the best experience.
We celebrated our 27th anniversary with dinner and dessert at 707 Chop House. We were not disappointed. The food was over the top good and the service was impeccable. We truly enjoyed our time there and will be sure to go back.
The service was ok, I had to tell the waitress that we were ready to order. We were ready when we placed our appetizer order, but she took that and walked away. They brought out our appetizers, and my salad at the same time, and still did not ask if we were ready to order, that meant the large menus continued to sit on our small table.... Anyway, when she came to refill drinks, we told her we were ready, because she still didn't ask. we sat in the front, which was a little louder than we anticipated. the tables are close together, so we could here the conversations of the people next to us, even over the music. The food was excellent in taste and presentation. I would go back , and I have recommended it to some friends.
The staff made a wonderful Valentine's dinner for us, we will be back.
My husband & I had our Valentines dinner here. The food was absolutely amazing, however the service was absolutely terrible. Although the waiter was friendly and quite comical, it took us 3 hours to have dinner with our first 3 courses served in the first 45 minutes and our last 2 in the last 45 minutes.
I have no complaints about the food, however when paying these prices at a fine dining establishment, I expect both excellent food and service. 707 just didn’t offer the whole package like Brennan’s or Perry’s.
The food was excellent, but it took 2.5 hours to get through the five course meal. We got seated right away. I understand it was Valentines, but it was a restricted menu and you only had two to three choices for each course. We all spent a long time in between courses. The music was really good, so it helped pass the time. The food was amazing, I would have given it a 5+ rating if it hadn’t taken so long.
We went for the Valentine’s Day dinner. The food, staff, facilities, everything was really nice. I have two recommendations: 1) don’t put the cost on the menu for these special events and don’t put the sign outside at the entrance details. It cheapens the experience and it’s not cheap. 2) don’t bring the courses so quickly. We were getting the next item as we were barely starting the one before it. We felt rushed.
Great food, great service and a really cool place for a romantic dinner
I would only recommend cause food was good not great. Service was horrible and the live piano was way too loud.
Steaks are great! Atmosphere is very nice. Quiet and intimate.
Crabcakes are nowhere near what the Kemah Steakhouse had. Questionable whether actually served the 10 ounce steak. It was delicious but not 10 oz. After one cocktail, they were out of the required liquor. Service was excellent. Piano player was excellent. Very expensive for what you get..or actually don't get. Hope they go back to previous crabcake recipe. The rest was just "ok".
Really great place to enjoy one of the best steaks I've had in a while.
Great steaks and sides. We like to sit at the bar and have a few drinks and share a steak
Steak was wonderful.
Great atmosphere, great food, friendly staff.
Cozy atmosphere and good service. Amazing bread and we enjoyed our meals.
It was the best steak I have had this year. Could have cut it with a butter knife. The mac-n-chsese truffle was awesome as well as the corn brile'. My meal was much better and less expensive than the so called famous steak house in Pearland. Great little gem with perfect ambiance. I will return to 707 Chophouse very soon.
Had an excellent dinner here on Saturday. Fresh crusty bread is delicious. Salads are big enough to split; we had the pear accompanied by fresh green & white asparagus & mashed potatoes with truffles. Good wine list. Piano music in the bar. A wonderful evening.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food and ambiance at 707. We were there for the triathlon this weekend and made a reservation with open table. It was easy to get in, our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. We came out there full, happy and had a new favorite wine! Thanks 707!
