Great food and service. Large portions and a great atmosphere.

Perfect venue for a pre-game dinner. The food quality and options are far above and beyond what you would generally get at a ‘sports bar & restaurant’.

Brought my girls before we headed over to a show at the Stanley. Got right in, service was excellent and so was the food. We were in and out in plenty of time. We will definitely be back. Job well done!

Enjoyed our dining experience very much. One downfall was our seating. The restaurant was pretty empty and we were seated at a very small table for two, not even enough room on the table for our plates and drinks. Then within 5 minutes they seated another couple right next to us. There were several other open tables, I felt it wasn’t necessary to seat the other table right next to us. Service and good were outstanding!!!

Far exceeds expectations of the typical sports bar/reataurant. Salmon and steak entrees were excellent, service was friendly and properly attentive. A worthy investment on game night with the Comets. Reservation highly recommended.

This was my first time at the restaurant and everything was perfect ! Would recommend to everyone even if you were not going to a comets game ! Prices were good.

We ordered our drinks and asked for straws for two of them waited approximately ten minutes and asked again before getting them. Ordered our food waited almost an hour never got plates. When food came out only half the amount of wings we ordered were delivered and still had no plates. Food was near cold by the time we got plates to eat. After complaining they did end up taking the wings off the bill but doesn’t make up for poor service and cold food. Used to come every weekend there was a game will consider going elsewhere after this visit. Not impressed seems like quality and service has severely deteriorated. Don’t matter how many people you push through if the quality isn’t there to bring them back.

Men's bathroom way too small...not enough urinals. There was a line of men.

However, the stall size was good, with adequate grab bars: which was important, as I'm in a wheelchair.

Waiter was so friendly & food was outstanding!

I loved the ambience; food was great as was the service. We went for lunch so it was not crowded. Enjoyed it!!

We had a great time, the hostess first seated us at a high top table but when I mentioned that I had requested a regular table she moved us right to one which was better for my back. Our server, Eliut F. was outstanding! Very friendly, helpful with menu & we had a nice conversation with him. All 4 of our meals were delicious!

Great place to grab food before a Comets game. TVs in the restaurant show all the latest sports news and whatever games are on at that time.

This was our second time at 72. The first time I did not make a reservation and it was good but the Hostess was not happy. This second time I did make a reservation and it made all the difference. The staff was very engaging and the hamburgers were “better than I could ever do.” It was a fun experience and I appreciate fun. Thank you.

Went for brunch. Nice to have the option of brunch menu as well as their full menu. Everything was delicious (including the cocktails) and our waiter was great.

I love eating at 72. The food is always delicious. It was New Year's Eve and very crowded, adding to the excitement, and our server was super friendly. The restaurant was decorated beautifully. It was the perfect ending to a Comets game and a wonderful beginning to 2020!

We had a great meal after a Utica City game. My grass-fed avocado burger was possibly the best burger I have ever had. The fries were also perfect. We had the pretzel appetizer and that was pretty good too! My husband had a different hamburger that really liked. It's always a fun time! We try to go often after the games!

The waitress's service was very good. The bar held up things and didn't know how to make drinks and didn't have quite the ingredients necessary for some fairly simple and common drinks. Food was as expected and sports bar experience was as expected. Overall we had a good time, but just kind of annoying not being able to have simple orders taking care of by the bar which was very slow as well.

This was our first time at 72. We had a gift card and had been looking forward to eating there. The menu looks good, the atmosphere is great, but the food fell short. The idea is fantastic and leaves me wanting to go back to give them a second chance, but the food was over done. The burgers were ordered “medium with pink.” They came out beyond well done. There was such a heaven char that it was hard to get past the charcoal taste. The bun was branded with the 72 logo (should be a nice touch). Unfortunately, they smashed the logo brander deep into the bun. It was both burnt and smushed. I’m assuming that it was an off night and perhaps the regular chef was not in on a Thursday night. So I will consider another visit, but that’s it. One more shot. There are too many other good restaurants around.

Tavern 72 is great. Even as busy as they were we got prompt service. My one complaint is our server seemed more concerned about getting us the check and having us pay. That was the only thing that seemed rushed and a bit off. Management checked on us often and the hostesses were super in helping me set up reservations for a future group.

The wings were raw. They need to start cooking them longer. Our fries were cold took forever for our food. They did take the wings off our bill. But still make sure they r crispy

I love the food here. The garlic sugar salad dressing is fantastic. The pulled pork quesadillas are amazing. I don’t think I have seen my stepfather eat chicken riggies faster and left some to eat the next day. The food, drinks and service are top notch.

Tavern is ideally suited for dinner with friends/family
before a Utica Comets hockey game however I’d be happy to dine there any evening. Food surpassed expectations, burger was excellent as was the salmon dinner. Both well prepared and presented. Service/attention was exceptional. This is not fine dining however it’s a clear step above the average sports bar.

Service & food very good but it is really loud in there. Will go back & will recommend it to friends.

We were pleasantly surprised with the portion sizes. The food and drinks were delicious and it was a great value.

Food was good, service was EXTREMELY slow...took 20 minutes to get our drinks. Waitress said it was really busy..we were 1 of 5 tables seated. We will likely go back, but are prepared to wait a while for anything we order.
