   My friends and I celebrated a birthday dinner last night. Our waiter was absolutely stellar. (I am so embarassed I don't know his name) The food is spectacular. I had Shrinp and Grits that never disappoints. My friends had Salmon and Prime Rib and everyone totally enjoyed the meal. I think the food is worth every penny. My only complaint is that the dining room when full (as it was last night) get noisy. This isn't someplace you go for a nice quet evening. That being said, we spoke louder and enjoyed every bite of our delicious meals.

   My steak salad was amazing and the guests I was with loved their food (salmon lunch entre and Monte Cristo sandwich). Our waitress did a great job—service was quick and attentive. We did not find it to be too loud—loved it!

   Wish you would include the Parker House rolls on the lunch menu, or some bread. We went to celebrate a birthday- the birthday dessert we received was outstanding!! And so appreciative that the restaurant gifts that. Thank you!

    Food was okay, loud inside, server took our order then was hard to find the remainder of the meal. Drinks took way to long to receive after order which one wouldn’t expect since bar was empty. Not sure about going again.

    We went for Mothers Day dinner and it was phenomenal! We had the Parker House Rolls (a MUST), the Crab Dip, Prime Rib, Filet Mignon and linguine with shrimp. And Ceasar salad. Everything was decadent. The service was excellent too. This is my new favorite restaurant in St. Louis!

    It wasn’t terrible but I don’t have to ever go back. The crab dip was too lemony, the roasted chicken and the short rib entrees were both bland. The short rib was tender but lacked flavor. None of the entrees were hot, which was a little off putting. I also ordered the Troon cocktail and it was average. The service was good but not good enough for me to try it again.

    Honestly expected the food to be better. Not a ton of flavor, filet was over cooked (twice) and prime rib special was….not special. Really wanted this to be better as well had a great experience at 801 Chop.

    The food & drink at 801 Local was excellent! The cocktails were full bodied & delicious. My husband had a Manhattan & I had an Old Fashioned. Nice wine selection. We also shared a beet salad which was unique & flavorful, followed by a halibut main course for me & linguini & shrimp for my husband. We finished with a lemon meringue tart. All excellent! The only negative was that our table was situated looking toward the sunset & the blinds in the windows were only decorative. The restaurant is quite dark & we were facing our friends. I had to put my sunglasses on to be able to see our friends as the sun was blinding. Poor design of blinds &/or table location. Could do a better design job.

    Restaurant was very hot. Apparently air was not working. Complained several times. Was told it was a sunday so could not get service. One member was of party was sweating profusely. Manager never came over. Service was poor. Rarely saw our server and food took a very long time. Had to go to the bar ourselves to get ice. Very disappointed. Too expensive for this to happen.     Great food and excellent service again. We had Sunday brunch, but I had the huge shrimp Louie salad with added crab. The drinks were good with fresh squeezed juice in my mimosa and several special brunch drink choices.
