   Reserved an igloo on a Saturday night in February. The lights and atmosphere are fun, but it was quite chilly even in coats that evening. The drinks were great, our server was great, but the food was sub-par and very expensive. This would probably be a hit if you were buying your own drinks and not spending for a meal for two. Our group ranged in age from 39-69. We may just be aging out of “experience dining,” lol! I have eaten at 8up once before, pre-COVID, and it was much better in terms of food and value. However, we dined inside and I believe the menu was more expansive and not so high.

   While the igloo was a neat idea, the service was really poor. Our drinks came with sticky fingerprints around the rim of the glasses, our server treated us like an inconvenience and came by every 20 minutes or so to drop off drinks/food, then tried to rush us out 45 minutes before our time slot was up. Not a great value, and could have gotten better food, drinks and service just about anywhere else. Would not recommend- such a disappointing way to spend $500 with our friends.

   We really enjoyed ourselves. Our Server, Kylie I think was her name, went above and beyond. She was so polite and kind. She even offered to take good photos of us. I nearly had a perfect experience if it wasn’t for the Lamb Ribs, way too fatty and not enough flavor.

   The igloo we were sat in had low ottomans instead of chairs and a low coffee table. The food and drinks were ok, nothing special. I don't think we'll be back.

    The igloo was decorated lovely. The food was mediocre at best. The beet salad had ginormous beets, very little arugula. Everything was way over spiced. I love hot and spicy things but the chef got a little heavy handed with the paprika on the shrimp and grits. I would go for drinks but not for a meal. The overall igloo experience and atmosphere was neat.

    My friends and family and I had the most magical experience at Iglou! It was snowing, the food was delicious, and it was so nice to have our own spot to be loud and ridiculous in. Highly recommend.

    Love the space. I always find that service is slow. For the first hour or so we were one of only a few tables there and it still took about 15 minutes after we ordered to get get our drink order. It’s been that way since 8Up opened a few years ago.

    Although reservations were made well in advance and a confirmation email was received the day before- NO ONE BOTHERED TO LET US KNOW THE RESTAURANT WAS CLOSED- we had friends that had made hotel reservations and thankfully inquired at the checkin desk regarding the anticipated evening. They were informed that the restaurant was closed and fortunately received a full reimbursement of their room charge and drove back home. We found out that at least four other parties were so rudely aware of the closure as well.

    Took our reservation for the New Year however upon our arrival we saw a sign on the hotel lobby door saying they were closed. No notice, no reservation cancellation, absolutely zero communication from this place OR open table. Managed to find a place that could take us for the holiday however couldn’t book that reservation because I had an active one with this place…that I couldn’t cancel because open table would only let the restaurant cancel…the restaurant that was closed. Not exactly sure who dropped the ball or if it was both parties but they dang sure almost ruined New Year’s Day. Disappointed to say the least. Being closed is fine, but let the people know who have booked and confirmed reservations with you within 24 hours of their reservation time.

    I made a reservation for Saturday January 1, 2022 through OpenTable and also confirmed the reservation the day before. We took and paid for an Uber to get to the restaurant from our hotel. When arriving we were told that the restaurant was closed. We were very disappointed that no one called to let us know this prior so we wouldn’t have paid for an Uber and could have arranged different reservations at another restaurant. The restaurant is attached to a hotel and the front desk worker was extremely nice and apologetic even though this wasn’t her fault. She also arranged for the hotel van to take us back to our hotel so we weren’t out anymore money. I was very thankful for her help.

    I had a reservation on the evening of January 1st at 5:30 pm. I made these reservations some time ago and have attached my confirmation below. We paid a $300 reservation fee, arranged a baby sitter, and planned to stay a night in the Hilton only to show up and be told that the restaurant was closed and no one was available to talk to. I hope you understand my frustration of going to all of these efforts and a long drive to only be turned away. You can reach me at 812-557-9010 to discuss. Although your hours of operation state you have been open I have called and sent Facebook messages with no response. I would appreciate a resolution to the service issue timely. I have been calling, emailing, and sending Facebook messages for the last three days with no response.

    So the server was great but everything else was terrible. Food was bad. They were out of everything…drinks, desserts. Wine was served in plastic. No table to eat on in the igloo. Just a little table that was knee level. For $500 an igloo it was a total rip off.

    The 8up igloo was a fantastic experience for my wife’s birthday! They were private, beautiful ambiance, and the food was amazing! Service was great even though they were working on a limited staff. Did I mention the food was amazing? One of the best pizzas I’ve had in Lousville. You should go!

    We reserved an igloo for a Sunday at 5 p.m. The igloo was freezing and never warmed up when we left 2 hours later. Iwas there 2 years ago at a later time of the night and it wasn't cold so I recommend going later in the night to allow the igloo to warm up. They clearly just turned on the heater right before we got there at 5 so there was no time to warm up the igloo before we got there. The food was barely warm, but tasted fine. The menu online is not the menu given to us so we were disappointed that an appetizer and entree we thought was an option was no longer on the menu. They were also out of the dessert we wanted. Our server was great. The drinks were good. Our igloo theme was the Bourbon Igloo. Each igloo has a different theme.

    One of things where we checked the box for sitting in an igloo. Some folks were still cold even though dressed for warmth. Food was just ok. I had the lamb which was waaay over seasoned. Not really worth the money I spent to be honest.

    We had a good experience, but it was a bit expensive for what it was. The food was amazing, but the menu is very limited. Service was great and she was very nice an attentive. The atmosphere was also very nice. Over all it was fabulous, just expensive.

    Went for the igloo experience, but on a weekday they were under staffed and waited almost an hour for first cocktail. They did their best and overall good experience. Not sure would go again on a weekday.

    Horrible experience for the price! We had reservations at 7:30pm but they didn't seat us until closer to 8pm & we were still expected to hit our $400 mark. The server seemed inexperienced and not friendly at all. She barely came to our igloo and when she did she seemed bothered by the fact she was there waiting on us. We were severed food but no plates, napkins or silverware. The server then dropped 6 plates which 4 broke on my 10 year old. She knocked over waters but never replaced the waters until we asked later that night. Also, the setup was horrible if you are there to eat since we were placed in an igloo that didn't have a tall table. Our table was a coffee table, which is not practical when trying to eat. This was our Anniversary and obviously it felt ruined. Never again.
