Wonderful cut of prime rib with a flavorful crust and great baked potato.
Excellent value. Nice setting with Van Nuys airport runway view.
I'd been aware of the 94th for decades, but never had occasion to try it. I'm so glad we finally did. The prime rib was very nice, accompanied by a memorably good MacMurray pinot noir. The view and the unique feeling of the place are truly distinctive as well.
Looking forward to visiting again and trying their classic Aviation cocktail. For those of us from the Westside who miss the aeronautical views and vibe of the late, great Typhoon at Santa Monica Airport, it's well worth a hop over the hill for a different style of cuisine with an equally delightful, aviation-themed experience.
The food quality and the display of the Sunday Brunch was terrible, the food is keep in individual pots that are hard to open and the food is generally cold. I paid $145.00 for brunch for 2 and no drinks were ordered, not worth the money!
My last few trips have left me unhappy with the level of service. This time the server was amazing for about the first 30 minutes then as our morning progressed she was gone. We had to get the hostess to help acquire our check and ask random servers to help us with our needs. This always seems to be a pattern that has yet to be addressed even when letting a hostess or manager know. Please properly train your staff.
Best variety and very clean and sanitary buffet! I was not afraid to eat here.
Food and service was excellent, repeat customer. Would definitely recommend.

This place is tired and old so much so that just being there made me feel tired and old.
Sunday Buffet Brunch was very good, as usual. The food selection is more than ample with good tasting items. The service from Nicole, our server, Jose, Executive Chef, and Rob, Manager was great as they were friendly, professional and competent.
Before arriving, I reserved a table for four on opentable.
Upon arriving, the hostess cheerfully greeted us, informing us that our table would be ready at the scheduled time.
The hostess sat us in a table across from the rows located near the window facing the airstrip.
It was 12:30 PM and not many of the tables were occupied.
After being seated, we waited a lengthy time for someone to take our drink order.
The woman who tended to us first didn’t appear to be a waitress, and more a manager.
The manager-type woman dressed in black, asked us what we would like to drink, writing down our order on a piece of paper.
She left and returned some time later, much later.
There didn’t appear to be sufficient wait staff to provide good service. As a result, we found ourselves waiting a long time.
The waitress, a young slender lady with blonde hair and glasses, came to our table following the manager.
She asked if anyone came to take our drink order, which we responded, “Yes.”
She appeared to fly around the restaurant, trying her best to wait on us and other tables.
At one point, she apologized for the wait as they were short staffed.
There appeared to be some strife, a bit of tension between her and the managerial woman.
The food arrived and tasted decent. We ordered the endless mimosas which were tasty.
I believe my expectations were higher as someone referred us to the 94th Aero Squadron, touting the food and service.
Waitress was attentive and answered all questions. We were given a booth as requested. Loved the fire places.
The food was great and the service was amazing. My friends had been before but it was my first time. We will definitely be back!
No, I would Not. I made a reservaton for 1PM a week ago, Confirmed it the day before. Arrived on time.
Was told that there would be a wait for a table. Looked in the dining room, lots of empty tables, Looked in the bar lots of empty tables. I asked if we could take a seat at a window table in the bar she said it would be ok.
Chatted with my friends for a while, a waiter brought the menu. The Waitress, Cory, came to take our order. We ordered Two Salmon and Penne Pastas. I ordered the Ruben Sandwich. We ordered Tea, Was told that the hot water system was broken, but they could do it in the microwave. That was fine Took quite a while. Time was not an issue. Orders came, Pasta was fine. Ruben was terrible. Way over cooked and salty on some stale bread , Fries were Ok but the ketchup was yuck. Asked for more hot water for the tea. It came at the same time the check did. :-(
I remember eating at the 94th some years ago very good. Not today.
Highlight of the afternoon was our waitress Cory. a fun woman that made the day. got into good
conversations with my friends. had good laughs. The birthday desert was great. :-)

Very mediocre food for the price they charge. We saw our waiter to take the order and drop off the check. That's about it.
We have eaten here before, and really liked the view of the airplanes flying in and out, and the architecture and feel of the restaurant. Seating was as we requested, by the window. Our waitress did not come for a while, but another gentleman came and took our drink and appetizer order and returned to take our food order. Waitress finally arrived about half way thru the meal and performed drink refill. however, we didn't see her again for a long while. The gentleman returned to refill our drinks and provide. Waitress finally brought bill, but did not return. The gentleman finally returned to collect our bill. I am assuming he was the manager. The appetizer combination was very good. Main courses were generally pretty good. Ambiance was nice, except for a crying baby, that was kept at their table way too long before being taken for a walk, but don't blame the restaurant for that one. Overall nice experience, and will return.
This is our go to spot for special occasions and you never disappoint!!! Even though some of our favorite people weren't working, we STILL had top notch service. This is one of the few places in LA that ACTUALLY makes us feel like family. Thank you, we'll be back soon
The food look a long time to arrive at table. My daughter did not get her popsicle after her kids meal. Which is part if the kids meal. No coffee and hot tea. The machine was broken. For the amount you pay, the service should be better
I was able to join our daughter Tammie for her birthday dinner and as always we had a wonderful experience. We were seated at a window table and the food was delicious and the service was great. Our server Lola was attentive but not intrusive and had a great smile!
seated for over 15 minutes before being contacted by anyone. ordered dinner and kitchen brought the main entrée without providing the appetizers we ordered. manager did her best to remedy the lapses and make us comfortable.
The staff appeared inexperience or working off their original shifts. Asked for window seating but giving a table next to a walkway even though window tables were available. Wasn't told that you could not order from the regular menu only the Valentine's menu was available. This experience was much different compared to the last Valentine's dinner I had here. My lady and I was disappointed by the overall experience.
Booked event for 214/20 8:15pm. We got seated to an that looked like an overflow room. The host tried seating us in a table with 2 chairs and there were 3 of us. The server intervened and pulled another chair. Host said “oh”. The host was sort of confused. My gut told me it will be an interesting night. I was right. The service was rushed, then took a while for our server to check on us on many occasions. About 3 spiders crawled on our table. Server aware as we need to ask for napkins to get rid of one.
The female server serving another table seemed getting small tip from another table made a comment “damn”, as soon as she saw the check that was left. Then just minutes after that, a female manager talking to one of the server, loud enough for us to hear, “well don’t you want to make money”?. Then we heard a response , “yes, but not like this, not having to provide good service to my customers”.
To make our long stay short, we were handed our check. Had to ask my daughter to take it in front as the server have not returned for a while.
After we paid and got up, I realized nothing was done for our bday celebration. Inquired in front, host area what they do for bday. The host said they bring some sort of dessert fir the celebrant. I told them why nothing like that took place in our table. The host asked if we told them upfront when we signed in. The female manager intervened and said, “that was the first thing they mentioned”. The manager offered a piece of cheese cake to go. But at this point, we were ready to get out.
The point I want to make, this was a special event. The meals are not cheap. Hoping to get a better service. None of that happened.
Great atmosphere, decent food, poor service. Have been going to 94th for years mostly for brunch.
The food was great. Clean and unique decoration. Service I’ll say it’s an area of opportunity. I had to get up and look for my server to get another drink.
Everything was nice, but they put us in a room that I think they use for small banquets. It was very stark except for the fireplace. It lacked any ambiance and the regular dining area had plenty of room.
Great service, food was good , only thing that the the cloth table couldn’t cover was the broken plastic table underneath that kept wobbling..
Amazing service, and the 4 course pre-fix menu was incredible.
There was some time since our last visit...We Are very Disappointed with Food Displace and Quality... With Ridiculous pots with heavy lids that for elder people are hard to lift and not a room in the displace table to place those lids...Brunch Price is Not Accurate for Food Selection, Quality and Service...Very Disappointed.. This beautiful restaurant is not what is just to be...We spend over $400 for 5 people that Does Not Worth it... I will like to get my money back.
Sunday Buffet Brunch was excellent, as usual. The food variety is good, with tasty and warm items. The already cut/split crab is a real benefit. Our server, Vanessa, the Executive Chef, Jose, the General Manager, Roxana, and the Manager, Rob, were all friendly, competent and totally professional. The entire atmosphere, food and environment created a very enjoyable time.
We had such a good time, the food was great and so was the service. I think the rooms could use updating, the booths and grounds. We will definitely be back.
Our luncheon was very pleasant. The food was very good, the service was a little sparse but adequate. Overall we had a very enjoyable experience.
Great service and food was delicious. The food is not to fancy but is delicious and satisfying. The ambiance is great for special dinners, we took our mom for her birthday and she loved it.
Staff was really friendly and accommodating. Food was good came fast. The NY cheesecake I’m not really impressed. Ambience is wonderful . Will definitely come back.
Really cool place, good service and great food!
I think the food and service is good and consistent. However, the restaurant appears to me to have deferred maintenance, so it's not my preferred choice but mostly convenient location in Van Nuys for business lunches.
What can I say, We have been here 3 times now taking advantage of Dine LA Menu.
We bring our parents who thoroughly enjoy this establishment, the ambiance and especially the food.
Seemed like there were more people and more take offs from the airport too. Dinner plates looked bigger too. If our health persists we shall make another reservation for next year. Thank you 94th.
Great Service, Great Staff and Great Food.
The food was good but the meat in a french dip was totally over cooked, part was crunchy. The turkey sandwich was processed not sliced turkey from an inhouse cooked turkey, it was good but not great.
I was so happy to have my bbq sauce on the side of the salmon

Noisy and crowded with average food. Service not so great. There was no French spoken to simulate a french auberge. Didn't feel like french auberge, as advertized, at all, unlike the 94th aerosquadron in College Park. Felt like a banquet hall rather than an upscale restaurant. Eeeew! Needs an interior upgrade. It looked like a hotel banquet hall. They made a terrible Aviation cocktail, which was on the menu, on the first attempt, although the second attempt, with some instructions, was better. Prme rib overcooked. Couldn't see planes landing or taking off. Disappointed.
I wish I recall the name of our waitress. She was lovely. Friendly, attentive and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
Even when she had to take a break, the manager (I forget his name too) took over, and provided the same level of attention we had become accustomed to.
Location and ambience were great at always.
With all this said, the floors could do with a good scrub (not just a run-over with a mop but a really good scrub).
I do not feel that the establishment deserves less than 5 stars as a result of the floors for now but if I notice the same when I return (which I will) then I shall have to reflect that.
