A Mano Kitchen & Bar
I heard about this restaurant through Local Flavor and bought a $15 voucher for $30 worth of food. We could not have been happier with our choice. As new residents of downtown, we were looking for a high quality restaurant without a stuffy atmosphere and we definitely found it. The service was great, the food was beyond delicious, and the ambiance was spot on. The restaurant was pretty busy, but it still had a very calm and comfortable feel to it. We will surely be back, with or without another voucher!
Everything was delicious but restaurant is a bit pricey
The food was very oily and seemed to be just thrown together. Without any effort. Once we sent back one of the orders, the waitress became very rude with us, speaking to us in a very serious tone and only short sentences. Won’t be going here again.
We have been three times and the food is amazing! The food is fresh with some interesting combinations that have not disappointed me yet. I would highly recommend them and will be returning.
The food was fantastic! How did we not know about this place before!!! A new favorite.
I read quite a few good reviews for this place and there were all correct. The ambience and decor are modern and chic. The food is excellent. The service is perfect. Highly recommend to all.
Great Food and Great Service. All the pasta dishes and pizza are delicous. Looking forward to another dinner there soon.
The food and service were outstanding. My friend whose uncle used to own an Italian restaurant in Brooklyn said that the food reminded him of the old country food that his uncle served with new world charm. We were fortunate to dine on a Saturday where parking was free and a space was available.
Exceptional food. Exceptional service. Will return soon!
Had the best waitress ever. As we left we told the owner/manager (who needs to smile more) to give her a raise! She made our experience even more fun. Food was very good. And there's a good variety to choose from. Bar is small for the size of the place but there is a very comfortable seating area to have coctktails and sit around with friends. This is the third time we've been and we all enjoyed ourselves. I have recommended, and will continue to recommend, a mano's.
Perfecto! Great night started at the bar with professional and friendly staff on a busy Friday night. At table we were treated to a wide variety of starters and pizzas all of which were winners.
The mains were fantastic but let’s face it this place is known for its pasta dishes and they certainly didn’t disappoint. Well done! Our server was fantastic.
The food was amazing, but our server was not very attentive and she made us feel very rushed and uncomfortable. I don’t know if I would dine in again because if this experience.
Fantastic meal start to finish!
Excellent food and drinks! High top seating was comfortable and ambiance overall was very nice!
Every time we come, we walk away with a new favorite dish. Everything morsel is phenomenal! How can it get any better? It does. The service is great-never rushed. Servers are so friendly. The owners greet everyone and it's like home. A mano is here to stay!! We will be back again and again!
great food and service. Somewhat noisy as it filled up with people
From start to finish the place was beautiful, the service was great and the food was excellent. We will be back next time we’re in the area!!
Very nice evening. Food was very good. Portions were sufficient.
We would return
We are definitely going back on our next visit to Syracuse. The food was outstanding! Even the little thigs like the butter and the salad dressings. Didn't know I could lover those so much. The portions very generous. Our server was very attentive.
We were there twice before and the second time, on a busy night, found the service to be less than outstanding and the pasta portions small, more like as an appetizer. This last time we went we ordered a non-pasta dish and the portions were larger and more satisfying. The entrees were flavorful and fresh, and didn't seem as though they had spent hours in a steam table. Service was much better. So, even though the pasta dishes are delicious and the place is jumping on a weekend night, Don't order the pasta if you are hungry (or order 2!) and go there on a week night.
1st dinner here was amazing. This one left us a little disappointed. Wondering whether to go back again.
Started with asking a bar tender for drink specials and got a placard with happy hour drinks. Maybe my mistake as I was looking for special drinks.
Waitress seemed nervous/confused which made it very awkward. so I'm not sure what her experience level was?
No dinner specials, only 2 dessert options...Is this a weekday norm?
Was expecting lumps of crab meat in the pasta with crab meat and mushrooms. Flavor was excellent.
Waitress pronounced Sorbet with a hard T. Canoles had no flavor.
Again our 1st experience was amazing but this experience left us wondering if we'd really go back again.
Too many things were inconsistent from our 1st visit.
Traveling through Syracuse en route home. Wanted to explore downtown a little before we moved on, my family are almost all Syracuse born. A Mano’s reviews were very helpful and the restaurant didn’t disappoint. Food and beverage selection were broad, interesting, innovative and delicious. Our waiter was really attentive and thoughtful. We drive through often, and will plan to stop again.
Superb food! Everything was cooked to perfection. So glad that there is a stellar restaurant in Syracuse. It will be our go to restaurant now when visiting our son in college.
Everyone was very welcoming, from the Hostess to the Bar Staff. Mackenzie was very knowledgeable about the wines he offered and struck up small talk with everyone. The Head Chef Alex came out to see us and made personal recommendations. Food was excellent and our waitress did not rush us through our meal. The whole experience was great! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for Italian cuisine that IS NOT typical!
Awesome. Food atmosphere , and a great server. I think her name was Alexa. Btw. Mango cocktail was delicious
The food was spectacular but pricey. Plenty of flavor and spice and as close to Italy you can get in Syracuse.
Not family friendly, the 1st high chair they gave us was broken and there are no changing tables in the rest room.
Absolutely the best Italian in Syracuse! Everything was fresh and hot!
We had a great meal as always there! We just got back from Italy and I have to say...the food quality was up there!
Excellent food and service, creative cuisine along with some classic Italian dishes makes this a good choice for a range of occasions.
a mano is not your typical spaghetti and meatball italian restaurant. It is so much more. Everything is home made using local and imported ingredients. Every moral was an explosion of flavor in your mouth. Two of my dining partners had the oyster appetizer and said the oysters were the best they have ever tasted. Two of us had the pastrami crostini and it was out of this world with flavor. (The pastrami is made in-house!!) For entrees we had the carrot agnolotti (I never had carrot taste so sweet....yummm), another had the branzino fish - so tender it melted in her mouth, the veal chop - best veal spouse had ever tasted, and the maltagliati with crab, asparagus, and a light sauce like you've never tasted before over homemade pasta. The leftovers were my lunch the next day and tasted even better. We had five desserts which we shared: chocolate lava cake, cannoli, banana pudding with homemade chocolate ice cream, a galette with fresh berries and homemade vanilla ice cream and the pastatrach (spelling??) with meringue and a salted caramel sauce. The caramel sauce was so delicious that we were scraping it off the plate to get that last drop in our mouths. This was one of the best meals we have ever had. Service was impeccable from our server and bus boy. Tables were cleared after each course and new silverware was given. We were never rushed, even though the restaurant was full on a Wednesday night. You can tell the chefs and kitchen staff take great pride in serving fantastic food. We will be back again and again.
Wow.......excellently prepared Italian food!!!! Creative menu, delicious homemade food, upscale atmosphere, very friendly and helpful wait staff. Each visit is a culinary delight!!!! Highly recommend!
Michael, our waiter was just the correct combination of conversationalist and efficiency. Wine is half price on Wednesdays, so that was a nice surprise. I cook a lot of Italian food myself, so believe when I say that it was wonderful to sample. I live in Scottsdale, so sadly, I cannot be a regular there, but sure loved the experience.
One of the absolute best restaurants in the Downtown Syracuse area. All I can say, wow.
Most recently we were at A Mano on a Saturday at 7pm - this was our second visit. The food at A Mano was outstanding. I think it’s fair to say this is the best Italian food in Syracuse. The flavors are amazing and the pasta is all freshly made and perfectly cooked. It is unlike any of the traditional heavy red sauced dishes on other local menus. Party of 5 with drinks, a bottle of wine, a few shared appetizers our entrees and dessert was $300. This week was a party of 4 minus the wine and we were at half the price. Everything was made to order and worth the price. The desserts were top notch as well. My one criticism is that there are far too few servers. These two were doing a bang up job, but there were too many tables for just 2 servers. This could be an easy 5 star if they get the service down
Inventive drink menu and varied food choices. Lots of options for seating- indoors or outdoors, hightops, banquettes or tables. Lively vibe on a quiet weekend night in Syracuse. Date nighters, older couples, birthday partiers and friends hanging out all seemed to be enjoying the casual and relaxing ambiance. Our homemade pasta entrees were scrumptious- served piping hot and freshly prepared. Service was understaffed but well-coordinated; our dining experience was kept on track without a hiccup. Although we opted for entrees, other dining options include small plates or wood-fired pizza and salads. Although Italian-inspired, the menu is not standard Italian-American fare. It is a very welcomed respite from that and ubiquitous pub fare in Syracuse!
Food was excellent. Menu offerings are ample. Service was a little spotty due to wait staff calling in sick.
Heard a lot of good things about this restaurant. It definitely lived up to the hype. Had a very good experience and will return.
Excellent food at a reasonable price. Michael was outstanding in his service. He was very thorough in his explanations and very willing to take his time with all customers. This place is a really nice place to get handmade fresh food. The pastrami was the best we have ever had.
We had a wonderful dinner with friends at A Mano Kitchen & Bar! Can't wait to eat there again.
My children ate my leftovers and want to go with us!
