   Only negative was I ordered a burger with no cheese but they gave me the burger with cheese. The second burger then arrived under cooked most likely as they were trying to get me the correct burger back to me as fast as possible, which was pretty quick. Our server and the location and atmosphere were all fantastic. My partner's food was also fantastic! Would certainly have been a 5 star experience except for the burger experience.

   Sides were amazing and nice drink and mock tails. Crab cake and fish sandwiches not very flavorful IMO and HEAVY on creamy sauces. Charismatic server. They did forget our appetizer which was fine.

   WOW WOW AND WOW...this is not a cheap meal, but it was worth every penny. Our server, Brenda, was FANTASTIC - knowledgeable (excellent wine and meal recommendations), patient (she seemed to have all the time in the world to serve our party of 7), and attentive without hovering. Also, when the meal was ready, it was team effort to serve the food quickly - clearly the team work well together - I could see a lot of smiling and laughing. THE KITCHEN - holy cow - wood fired grill was incredible. And the chefs - again, very clearly a strong team mentality - they seemed to work quickly, effortlessly, and with precision. THE DRINKS - excellent cocktail list, fully / well stocked bar, good draft beers, and excellent wine selection. The resto was pretty busy, so it took a little time for drinks to come out - not sure how that could be sped up given how popular this place is (even on a Tuesday night - impressive). THE FOOD - who knew wood fired oven cooked dry-aged prime steak could be so good? I had the Cowboy Ribeye, my wife the filet mignon - both were just incredible (my side of Bearnaise sauce - it was perfect). A friend had the jumbo crabcake - first, I've never seen a crabcake so massive, and delicious. The remoulade sauce was just the right complement. And the sides - asparagus, mushrooms, creamed spinach - all cooked in the woodfired oven - were perfectly prepared and delicious. This is a gem of a steak and seafood restaurant - highly recommend it...and yes, we will definitely be back!

   Food was very good as usual. However, service was lacking. Waited 20 min before server took our drink order. And then another 15min before we were informed that they did not have the drink I ordered. Also requested a wine list that only showed up when I got it myself. I hope this is a one time thing because service at Ada's has always been very good.

    We like the food, the service and the atmosphere. This trip the weather was excellent. Great river view. This time my companion had the hanger steak and I had the pork chop. Don't forget the chocolate souffle. Takes 18 minutes to cook. Also check out how it got its name.

    Food was delicious but my husband’s $70 steak ordered medium rare was medium, but service was so slow that he didn’t want to send it back as we had already waited so long. Our table also wasn’t ready at our reservation time and so we waited 15 min at the bar and never once could we get anyone’s attention to order a drink.

    Great experience for a special birthday for my son. Great food, the swordfish was excellent! They helped my son’s girlfriend with a vegan option. Tasty cocktails, including a redo for mine because it was too sweet at first. Great timing on service from our waitstaff. They surprised us with a birthday treat for our son that was delicious and a perfect end to a lovely meal! We dined outside with a beautiful breeze off the Potomac River.

    Ada’s has fantastic food. I have never had a bad meal there. The management was very good. My big hang up from last night was the server. He was not attentive at all. 40% of the tables were empty as we ate so there was no reason for this. This lack of attention resulted in drinks coming to the table late after multiple requests. A ordered item was missed and on the bill but never made it to the table. When it came time to pay the bill this guy repeatedly walked by and away so I just left cash and walked out. More training of the staff should be performed so their performance matches the quality of the food.

    My wife and I had dinner at Ada's for our anniversary. The food and the service was fantastic and the setting on the river is great. Parking wasn't convenient. We had to park on the street about 3 blocks away but it was worth it. We would highly recommend it.

    Went with 8 total for wife’s birthday celebration. Austin our server was phenomenal! Took cake and needed plates and knives to serve. Everyone enjoyed meal especially swordfish and crab cake. Perfect ambience on the Potomac!

    We had 6:30 dinner reservations inside, but decided to take an open table outside for the view of the river since it was a nice evening.Great ambiance inside and outside river views, wonderful wine selection and cocktail specials. We loved to grilled octopus appetizer and the crab cake entre. Our server was very attentive and helped with menu details and gave us plenty of time to visit with our out of town guests without constant interruptions. We enjoyed sitting outside except for the noise of flights departing from National airport overhead which frequently interrupted conversations.

    Fabulous location and amazing food. We had the hanger steak and smoked swordfish, both of which were excellent. We would go back just to have the hashbrown pave again--incredible (as were all the sides). Cocktails were also amazing. We will definitely be back.

    My husband and I dine often at Ada’s but have never tried the brunch until Memorial Day. We were wowed by the quality of the brunch items. The menu was exciting, with special cocktails and entrees. I ordered the espresso martini made with cognac and it was to die for. My husband and I shared the crab omelette and the giant French toast, along with some fresh fruit. These were perfect pairings. The omelette was light and fluffy and filled with lump crabmeat. The French toast was giant and super delicious. Everything was served hot and fresh. To top it off, we sat outside on the deck with a perfect river view. The overcast skies didn’t even feel dull. Our server, Sarah, was friendly and helpful. If you have never tried the brunch, save your pennies and GO! It’s totally worth a splurge.

    William was the BEST!! He welcomed us, paid full attention to details and our needs! He even knew that we was celebrating our anniversary and verified our food allergies! All in all, William definitely made a great impression and is the GOAT at Ada’s! As for the food, drinks and dessert… it was sooooooo freaking good!!     Our steaks ($52) were delicious but the prices on the menu were much higher than listed on the website menu. OT, listing this restaurant as $30 and under is totally incorrect. Our server was very friendly but the noise level is very loud. More waitstaff needed as all of our sides didn’t arrive with the main entree.

    It was OUTSTANDING as usual. The best place in the DMV and everybody seems to know it!! Always full, always fun and always delicious. Service is always outstanding from the moment you enter with the host and hostesses , to them wonderful servers and table employees. The chef is the best. Love , love this place .     I have the most amazing dinner experience at Ada’s on the River. Everything was simply amazing. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. My server Janice provided all of the recommendations I selected and everything from the cocktail to dessert was absolutely exquisite. Top notch service and food! I’ll be back!
