Restaurant at Samlesbury Hall
Loved it. We had breakfast here both days whilst staying in the shepherds huts. The staff are amazing and the reason we want go go back. Food was great value and decent sized portions. We were all happy, even me who has a habit of making swap requests!
Excellent covid measures in place
Lovely food with ample portions
Lovely food in a spectacular setting and nice friendly staff
Fab food as always and lovely service. Pizzas are fabulous. Fresh, tasty, good value and great to keep supporting local businesses. ☺️
Our experience at Samlesbury Hall restaurant was outstanding. We went for breakfast and pizza night and the food was amazing and the staff was super friendly making you feel like home. Definitely we will recommend it and we will come back.
My wife and i ate here for lunch. Probably the best Covid controlled checks and environment we have seen.
The Menu is very limited indeed and quite expensive ,and the room was cold.
Overall the service was good but the cold environment spoilt our experience.
The Main Course was ok, the Desserts excellent.
What a fantastic place to visit and eat we arrived at 6 PM and whilst it had been a lovely day it started to get a bit chilly in the courtyard. The staff put the heaters on and we sat outside for a while but then requested that we go in. We were ushered into the great Hall having our temperatures taken and contact details previously and we all sat at a socially distanced tables and continue to eat the most amazing Wood Fired Pizza‘s that I’ve ever eaten in Britain. Where else would you dine for a tenor with such a fantastic ambience and delightful staff?
Absolutely fabulous, will be back and will recommend to friends and family.
The food was delicious there just wasn’t enough , service was slow .
Meal was lovely! Staff were friendly. Very quiet, and has tables spaced out appropriately. Our waiter was brilliant. He wore his mask when helping us. not all staff were as good as him but still kept to the guidelines to keep everyone safe. I would say more signs would be needed to help people make there way around.
Lovely venue. The food was great. Would have liked more choice for children.
Me and my daughter loved it and will hopefully be returning again.
Went for afternoon tea. Temperature taken in arrival, hand gel also available to use. Shown to our table and within minutes our afternoon tea had arrived!
Was a lovely afternoon for my partners birthday. Highly recommended.
Went on a Wednesday too, so they were half price 😁
Friendly service. But I've been on afternoon tea's before and found the food much better.
Nice food and friendly staff but very slow service.
I have previously been for afternoon tea here which was outstanding so we we already had high expectations , the food was lovely and the staff are always courteous but on this occasion just a couple of points that could have been improved, the starter soup was only lukewarm and the scone already had the jam and cream on top which really should have been seperate for individual choice of amounts, finally we were only seen to at the beginning and the end of our meal which is where we needed to look for a member of staff to add a final drink. This will certainly not put me off coming again and will always recommend Salmesbury Hall as a lovely day out
An excellent Afternoon Tea, a varied and delicious range of treats- the mini-cup of soup was particularly charming! - and we all left very full and satisfied. Great service too.
Lovely setting in the hall for afternoon tea. Service was slow as they did not seem to be ready for us after pre booking. Also asked for a hot drink refill but none came.
My daughter had purchased the Salmesbury Hall afternoon tea as part of my Christmas Present. The food was good with a few sandwiches, a small cup of soup, sausage roll and a mini quiche. We also had 3 small cakes which were all very nice and a choice of tea/coffee. When I rang to book they were very helpful and checked with me about any allergies (which was great because my daughter does have a shell fish allergy). The service was good and the room was quiet even though there were other people dining. Overall a nice experience.
Had a lovely afternoon. Never been before. Interesting to read the history and finish with an afternoon tea. Staff attentive and friendly.
The room was not inviting and was extremely cold. The radiator near us was barely warm.
No complaints with a good pot of coffee.
The food looked appetising and a lovely cup of soup was welcome.
Overall the cakes were small, especially the scone and not very exciting.
We have no complaints with the service
The overall experience was disappointing.
