Aji Limo/Peruvian Cuisine
The food was outstanding! Our server Al was very pleasant and helpful with recommendations. We will definitely return-my husband says it is his new favorite restaurant.
A plus, we were able to bring our own bottle of wine.
This is the second time we have dined at this restaurant. The food is simply outstanding. I would recommend you try this Peruvian delight. One thing to note, is that they have a very limited alcohol selection, so if you don’t like Pisco sour or Peruvian sangria, you are allowed to bring your own bottle.
Food was great. Very good service. Would definitely come back.
Phenomenal food, highly recommend it. As a peruvian myself I think this is one of the best ones in Westchester.
Both the food and the service are outstanding. Hands down one of my favorite places in Ossining.
Aji Limo is one our families go to restaurants. We love the whole chicken, whole fish and avocado salads.
Best yet is is a BYOD with no corking fees.
The food was delicious! The portions were so large that we had appetizers and glasses of the Sangria.
Had an amazing and (according to my friend, who spent many years in Peru) authentic lunch at this attractive spot. The ceviche was fresher than fresh and great to share as a starter, and my quinoa-encrusted salmon was simply delicious. The rotisserie chicken lunch special my friend had was very tasty and a great value. All portions were generous. We were first to arrive and last customers to leave, and our server Al could not have been nicer (all the staff were an attentive and professional team). Although it’s out of our usual dining area, will definitely return with my family.
This is a new restaurant in Ossining and it is fantastic! The food is fresh, well prepared, and fantastic and the choices are varied. I highly recommend the shrimp wrapped in bacon appetizer and the sangria- WOW. I am gluten free and could eat most of what was on the menu. The service was excellent if not a bit over attentive but we were one of only two tables at the time. The atmosphere is fun and modern while maintaining a quaint feel. I met Milton, one of the owners, and he was lovely--friendly and interested in how we enjoyed his restaurant. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are huge-I had enough to take home for another full meal when we finished. I will definitely be back!
We've been here several times and find it consistently excellent. Delicious food, attentive friendly waitstaff, reasonably priced, large portions. Don't miss the octopus appetizer and the quinoa crusted salmon entree. Both were fabulous as was everything else we've tried there. We highly recommend this place.
The food and drinks were excellent. A little loud but expected in small, but popular place. Very warm inside - my friend almost fainted because of the warmth :( other than that very nice experience.
Food delicious for a neighborhood place. BYOB. SERVICE OKAY BUT THE FOOD MAKES UP FOR IT
Unassuming restaurant with very good food with a very inviting atmosphere.
Food was good but service was very spotty
They would bring food out but won’t give you utensils. Several times we had to flag them to request utensils.
Also, if you need a drink refill you also have to constantly ask.
Too bad- the food was good and the restaurant has potential.
May prefer to get take out or doordash delivery for now due to service challenges.
Better when it first opened. The food is just fair now. My husband and I both had the chicken which was dry and not as flavorful as it should be. Very few of the wait staff speak English so there is a lot of mis-communication on the ordering. For instance, our server told us one of the sides was rice and beans and they came together. We received just rice. Service is slow so it wasn't worth sending back. This restaurant also does not have a liquor license so despite there being a pisco sour and sangria on the menu it is non-alcoholic and not very good. Will not be back.
Great food and value . Service a bit slow. One member of our party of 4 had to wait awhile for his entree after the rest of us were served. The server forgot that we has ordered a pitcher of sangria. But overall service wasn’t bad .
Absolutely love this BYOB place. It’s got so much variety and flavor in every meal.
This was the second time I’d eaten here and it’s overall a very pleasant experience, particularly the food. However, this time, the service, although friendly and helpful, seemed a little disorganized and inattentive. Perhaps they were understaffed? It wasn’t something that would discourage me from going again but something management should note. Thumbs up on the food and ambience!
Excellent food and service. Be sure to finish the meal with the churros!
I enjoyed everything about the place, the service and the food. I had Salmon with seafood it was delicious! I will definitely go again
really enjoyed my meal something different and prepared perfectly
About the only drawback was that the menu did not give an English translation of the dishes. But all the food was good. We asked for to Ceviche mixto with "medium" spiciness, but could have asked for hotter. Taste was excellent. Get a bottle of Chicha Morada for the table.
The food was delicious. Every bite of everything on the table. I am new to Peruvian food, but I will be back again and again.
I would recommend it, but the absence of a license for alcohol is a big factor in choosing it.
Took my wife here for her birthday. Amazing food and will definitely come back again.
Amazing food and super nice people, just VERY slow
What an amazing place. Food is amazing and the ambiance makes you feel like you’re in someone’s neighborhood joint.
Stopped in on the advice of a chef/friend. Nifty place, excellent selection of ceviches starters. Chicken tasty, maybe a bit dry. Young operation, very winning staff, on their way up the learning curve (a little too eager to clear a dish you’re not done with). BYOB, for now. Would return happily for ceviche and fish dishes. Pleasant night.
Mom loved it so much on Mother's Day - she specifically requested to go back for her birthday!
For the most part, we all ordered the same items we had last time, because we loved them so much.
A few variations:
Mom ordered the "LA MINUTA SOUP" (beef soup) instead of the chicken soup she had last time, because she was in the mood for beef. It was SO big and delicious - we were all having tastes of it. It was a lunch meal in itself!
For his main course, my husband had the "PARGO ROJO TRUJILLIANO" (whole fried Red Snnaper accompanied by deep fried potatoes, famous salsa criolla), which he loved; and a Sangria drink on the menu he loved so much he asked me to try to make it home...
*One other note: The day after, Mom specifically commented how much she loved the service, how comfortable she felt, never rushed, how they let us enjoy our time together.
I picked this restaurant last minute on Father’s Day since it was local. I would’ve given it 4 stars since the food was good, but the service was severely lacking. There were only 2 servers which I though was absurd for Father’s Day. We waited several minutes at the hostess stand just to be acknowledged. Then it took 10 minutes for us to receive menus from the server then another 20 minutes for her to come back and take our order. Under normal circumstances I probably would’ve left but it was a holiday. That being said the food was very tasty and had good portions for the price. I had the Lomo Saltado and the steak was flavorful, tender and juicy. I also really enjoyed the passion fruit juice. It tasted extremely fresh! I’m willing to give this place another chance since the food was so good.
we made a reservation-but they were closed!! ;( Was looking forward to it.
Amateurish service with serious errors.
It was good but the service killed it. The place has many positives, but it really has to be crossed off of my list due to the terrible service.
the food and the staff are wonderful, great price on the food and the taste is incredible
One of, if not the, best meals and overall dining experiences I can recall. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The food is FABULOUS! The staff, esp. front of the house, is warm and inviting and knowledgeable. Can't wait to go back.
Mother's Day - she loved it! As did all of us. Mom said it's the best meal she's had at a restaurant in a very long time.
the food and the staff are great we will be coming back again and again
Absolutely delicious food, beautifully presented! Waitress extremely attentive and sweet. Just remember to BYOB!
Excellent local restaurant. We brought our own wine (not sure if they have a license) which they graciously opened (no corkage charge). Food is great.
The best part of the meal was the pisco sour (Peruvian cocktail). Food is good although the rotisserie chicken was too dry which is not at all good. The service is really slow and mediocre.
Great place - amazing ceviche and some great options on their menu. Went a couple weeks ago, loved it so much we’ve already been back once and will keep going back.
