   It was our first time in, and we definitely enjoyed it. The food, amazing. The taste, portion, quality. Jen, our server, was amazing as well. Definitely a great first experience, we will be going back.

   I often find Italian restaurants to be either pizza joints or inexpensive family restaurants. If you are looking for a fine dining Italian restaurant, you will not be disappointed! Food, staff, and service are outstanding. Also, the cocktail menu provides a range of varied, unique, and well balanced drinks.

    This place is trying to be a "nicer" pasta place but it just doesn't quite pull it off. The pasta is fine but nothing special for a 50% price hike. Tables are cramped and I am only 6ft 175lbs. Meat can be added to the dishes but the chicken I got was something out of a bag that can be put in the microwave.

    Expensive for Italian, but excellent and well prepared. Pasta is all homemade, and that makes a great difference. Small menu, but still, something for everyone who truly enjoys great Italian food.

    Alavita is most definitely a semi-hidden gem. Right in the heart of downtown Boise, Alavita has some of the best food that I have come across in all of the Treasure Valley. The service was outstanding as well, our waitress never let our glasses get empty and had a never ending supply of bread to go with our delicious appetizer and pasta dishes. We went on a normal Tuesday night but the place was already packed by the time we left so a reservation is recommended.

    Our experience was wonderful, as usual. Tina was our server and she is always so friendly, helpful and efficient. The entire staff works together so well. Our food was delicious and we can’t wait for our next visit.

    We went on a busy Saturday night to celebrate our anniversary. Our server Jen was amazing! She had great recommendations. The soft Parmesan and roasted artichoke hearts were fantastic. My pest risotto was delicious and my husband had the seafood stew and it was sensational. We finished with the salted caramel budino. We will definitely be back!

    On the whole, Alavita is a small, nicely decorated restaurant and bar. I enjoyed the ambiance. The staff were friendly. The food was underwhelming. The reviews made it sound like it was amazing but honestly it was good, not great. The risotto was way over salted. Coming from a salt lover, that is a lot of salt. It overtook the truffle flavor and just left me needing a lot of water. The black ravioli was probably the best dish. It was nice that all the pastas were house made.

    Tremendous experience! Loved date night out in boise at Alavita. Our server was so knowledgeable and had great suggestions based on our mood and appetite. Dinner was delicious! The ambiance was such a neat experience and vibe.

    Excellent food in a fun spot! They were busy, so our food took over an hour, but it was worth the wait. I’d definitely go back! Took some employees to thank them for their service, and everybody loved it!

    I was disappointed with the amount of food that we received. I was still hungry when I left the restaurant, and it was a higher amount of $$ but I expected that thinking it was a better restaurant.

    I made the reservation here for my son in law’s birthday. We started with 3 old fashions, then brought our own bottle of wine. Their corkage fee is $10 which was fabulous. My daughter ordered the market risotto which was veggie, so she added a protein of scallops (4) they charged $10 each for the scallops. That put her risotto in the $70 range. Of course we didn’t know until the bill cane. My husband and I ordered their version of a cacciatore. It was more stew like and the sauce half way through started to congeal. It was way to heavy and rich. The potatoes in it were terrible. My son in law and other daughter ordered pasta with tomatoes and sausage. It was really dry. At the end even though our waitress Mckaeyla was reminded we were celebrating a birthday still nothing no offering of a free dessert or candle…. We ordered and paid for all four desserts. The bill was over $400. Over all great restaurants, the food is just ok. I expected more I guess for a special occasion.
