   I love this low-key restaurant. The food is generously proportioned. The restaurant excels at chicken. My partner had the chicken pesto panini with mushroom soup. I had my favorite. The chicken piccata. The accompanying fingerling potatoes were delicious also. They have great iced tea. Service was spot-on. Any dish is a good value for what you get. This is our neighborhood gem.

   Enjoyed a chopped salad and the salmon pasta out on the back patio which is very fun with the umbrellas overhead. Actually quiet enough to be able to have a nice catch up with friends. Definitely recommend this hidden gem.

    The Bruschetta was Very fresh and the chicken Madeira very flavorful. My iced tea was regularly re-filled. Service was spot on. Great casual dining, especially if one likes salads, pasta and chicken.

    We had a party of 9 to celebrate our son and daughter-in-laws birthday. This was our first visit to Allegra, and we were not disappointed! The food portions were large and very tasty! Our server was extremely attentive! We sat outside on their covered back patio. It was perfect! Highly recommend!

    Hi- food is great - each item we ordered was flavorful. Service is fast, and friendly staff. 1. Calamari - slight battered. Garlic sauce so good. 2. Sole Piccata - tender, and huge portion. 3. Pollo Verde Pizza - balanced of flavor of pesto and the bell peppers. 4. Fettucine del Mare - pasta cooked right (al dente), seafood is generous. Came with bread. We did not try the desserts.     Went for Dine LA week and was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant. First impression when you walk in is a bit drab, with a deli counter in front. Outside patio was spacious and decor fun with dozens of umbrellas overhead. Food was fabulous and our server was very pleasant and helpful.

    Very nice service, generous portions, and comfortable, shaded patio in the back. I had a salad which was not very fresh or tasty. The person I was with had a burger and fries and seemed to enjoy them. If you're going for a salad, maybe this restaurant isn't the best choice, but perhaps the heavier foods are better prepared and tastier.

    It was a wonderful experience for our out of state friends. They loved the foods, the staff, the ambience, the decor, and the vibe! They couldn’t stop talking about it. We took our friends here to reunite after 6 years. This is the it spot. Everyone should try it. You will not be disappointed and will come back time and again as we do!     A very nice spot to get tasty food. The portions are more than ample allowing one to have take home for another meal. The back patio is the place to be day or night. The service was really friendly and helpful.. Will definitely come back and refer others.

    What a hidden gem!! Had I not seen it on Yelp, I would not have guessed they had the cutest patio out back. Pasta made fresh in house. Even the simplest dish was fantastic.

    Very disappointing food. Pasta was not housemade. Sauces were poorly flavored (tasted microwaved). Felt like large portions used to compensate. Honestly we make a decent bowl of pasta that is ten times better than this any night of the week. Nothing about atmosphere or decor made you feel you were eating in anything but someone’s make shift back yard turned into a temporary restaurant. Can only think the quality of OpenTable consumers has diluted to a mass point that the reviews are meaningkess. How this got 4.5 stars no idea. We were close by and needed somewhere to eat. Thought we’d try something new but $100 later, wish we’d just grabbed fast food even.

    My new favorite gem in Culver City. Upon entering the restaurant, it seems modest, unassuming. As I enter to the back patio, I feel like I am in a friend's backyard. But the longer I sit, the more comfortable and homey it feels, like I could just let go of time and remain. Then there's the service. Everyone is chill, nice, accommodating, friendly. They go out of their way. They bring us our food, and it's outstanding. I love the sole piccata and my husband loves the cioppino. Seriously delicious! Always cooked to perfection, and we are picky. The prices are great, and so is dessert!

    We had an excellent meal. There was great care given in the food presentation and preparation. The food was satisfying and inventive. This cafe looks more like a coffee and cake place to drop in to. We'd urge you to try it for a more serious meal.
