Al J. Schneider was a true Louisville visionary who was responsible for changing the landscape of Louisville. Mr. Schneider built hotels, schools, banking institutions, office complexes and medical facilities but his greatest achievement was his family. Mr. and Mrs. Schneider had six children, grandchildren, great grandchildren. In the Schneider family Sunday dinner was a time when they could all sit around a table and be together. In homage to the Schneider family Sunday supper, we have created AL’s Table. AL’s Table serves the same dishes your family and the Schneider family had at the dining room table for Sunday supper with a Louisville twist. Many of our menu items came from Mr. Schneiders favorites provided to us from his family. Al’s Table is an unexpected place for Louisville families and out of town guest to gather and experience the best of Louisville. Our well curated menu, cocktails and bourbon list provides an experience for everyone.

Food was fine, place was pretty and cozy. Patio was very nice. When we arrived, it was not very busy; 8 of the tables had old food from previous customers the entire time we ate, so not sure where the bus boy was. It is really not nice to see other people’s leftover chicken bones and scraps. Staff was wonderful, it just seems like they may be short staffed, even with the sparse amount of customers.

Food was very good and price was very fair for what we got. The service was great and the food came out quickly. The atmosphere was a little deceiving, we thought it was business dress but it’s definitely casual but never a problem because everyone can enjoy this place. This resteraunt is known for its prime rib dish and it was amazing. Our waitress went above and beyond to get us prime rib when they were supposed to be out of it for the night and we were very grateful. If your in the area give them a try, there menu has many different amazing looking dishes so I’m sure everyone at the table would find something to enjoy.

We dined here on a Saturday night at 6:30. We were the only people in the entire restaurant. It’s seems like a nice place, nothing fancy at all. We were staying at the TRU hotel next door and they recommended Al’s table. We all had drinks that were quite tasty. We all ordered prime rib. The prime rib was tasty, seasoned well and tender. A very generous portion. The spicy grits were excellent. The mashed potatoes had been sitting g for a while and were just ok. Broccolini was mushy and overdone. Service was adequate but nothing special. It was an ok dinner but nothing special. Location is excellent if you are staying close to the airport.

Ate at Al’s for lunch before Louder than Life. The turkey sandwich was tasty, and the choice of Cole slaw as a healthy alternative to fries was welcomed. Our server was extremely attentive and accommodating. Hard to go wrong, especially when compared with food choices and prices on festival grounds.
