Amalfi

A good evening but the two metre distance between tables was debatable. Girls waiting on were very friendly and always happy to help.

Food and service was excellent despite it being busy the day before lockdown.

I’m a bit biased as amalfi is my favourite restaurant but another delicious meal. Service is always great and food arrives quickly, we’ll be back

Friendly service, delicious food, been several times in the last few weeks, and food has been impeccable every time.

Very good food.
Unfortunately, due to covid restrictions, it was quiet and felt as though we should be eating and leaving as quickly as possible. Understandable given the current climate.

Lovely food and amazing cocktails really enjoyed it i will be back again this was my 2nd time going to amalfi i will definitely recommend it the service was spot on aswell they was friendly.

The food has gone downhill sorry to say. The garlic bread was so dry. And meatballs were awful. Dry pasta dry meatballs not very pleasant at all. We have been regulars at Alamfi over the years but we won't be coming back sorry to say.

Arrived 15 minutes early, but shown straight to our table. Staff were polite and the food was delicious. Never had a bad meal at Amalfi.

Excellent as always. The tapas dishes are to die for.

As Covid-19 is at its current peak in Blackburn with Darwen, my anxiety levels are extremely high, as i had had this table booked for a few weeks before the coronavirus got this bad i decided that i was going to attend with caution despite being so uncomfortable in the current climate and i am so glad i did!
I felt completely safe from start to finish. On arrival the lovely lady who came to greet us asked if it was okay for her to take our temp which was quite relieving to me as it made me feel even safer. It was a busy night at the restaurant and the lovely lady serving us explained there was going to be about a 30 minute wait on our food as they where so busy, which was absolutely fine and in the meantime she got us some lovely cocktails, during our food the different waitresses came to check on us and offer us more drinks and i felt completely attended too the whole time despite the restaurant workers being extremely busy. As a restaurant manager myself i can completely empathise with how difficult it is when you are busy to make sure every customer receives the best service at all times and these young girls did a fabulous job! My absolute favourite local restaurant and the stuffed mushroom starter is so delicious! Can't wait to go again! Thankyou

Amalfi. 24/08/20. Sanitizer available and temperature taken on arrival. A "normal" Monday night for us. Great to see Katrina again but quite disappointing overall. We, (my elderly parents, husband and I) gamble occasionally, at dominoes, into a kitty, then go out for dinner when the pot is big enough. Took the plunge and booked The Amalfi, my favourite restaurant, in Darwen, covid 19 aside. Disappointed to say the least. A reduced menu, understandably, in these times, but not mentioned on their website. It's now more of a fast food burger/kebab joint, aimed at families, rather than an Italian restaurant. We had to ask for cutlery and napkins, after starters/tapas had already been served. Even though we changed our allocated table, because of a fan, there were no cutlery or napkins on either of the tables. They should have at least been given to us before the food? Service was dis-jointed to say the least. Three trips to deliver four main courses and a wine glass was cleared, mid-meal, even though a half bottle of wine was still evidently on the table (we are not the "jug of water" please, brigade). The food was delicious-ish. Wrap/kebab, cold. Chicken pasta, too dark and overcooked. Carbonara, minuscule. The garlic bread, burger and pizzas were excellent. But we went out, after five months, for so much more. Not Dishi discount, but out, out. No more, no less. I hope we get back to normal soon. Please.

This was my first time at amalfi and the food was amazing loved it.will definitely be back again thata for sure and i enjoyed the cocktails aswell. The service was brilliant.

The food was good but the service was very poor. Having enjoyed my previous visits, this visit was a disappointment. I will not be returning.

The food at the Amalfi is excellent, tasty and there's plenty of it. Would definitely recommend this restaurant as the best in town. We took advantage of the eat out to help out scheme and were very pleased with the measures in place for the diners. The staff are really nice too, attentive but not standing over you.

Once again a lovely welcoming environment awaits all who visit. We had a very nice dining experience, a very nice presented starter followed by an equally very nice main course. Good break between courses afforded us without having to ask. Very attentive staff, all in all a very nice midweek dining experience. Have visited before and very please it is open again. We will continue to visit this restaurant in future.

Very deceptive exterior. The service was excellent and the food was exceptional. Very good portions and a great taste. The three-dish Tapas was ample and varied. We had this as a starter between three of us. It was very good. The ambience was ideal for us as it was a Sunday evening.
The service was excellent. I had made several requests and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for either the waiters or the chef. Would highly recommend the Amalfi. Superb value. An absolute gem of an independent restaurant.

Excellent food and service will definitely be returning

Service was excellent, food was average. Not enough garlic on garlic bread for our liking. Calzone was bland and lacked in flavour.

Service could have been a bit quicker. That was my only issue. Thank you it was lovely.

My friend I often visit Almafi for a meal during the week or on a weekend and we are never disappointed by the food; the available selection is excellent, the food is always piping hot and beautifully presented. For me they lost one point due to their slow service, they weren't busy - so why does it take so long for food to get to the table?! Also the waitress was is such a hurry that she put the incorrect amount in the pay terminal, I asked if she was sure it was right (because it seemed quite high) before entering my pin and she assured me it was - it wasn't : (( They did refund it without an argument though.

Fab food and very accommodating. Especially as I have an onion allergy. There were only 2-3 things that couldn’t be adapted for me.
Definitely go back!

Food is excellent but we waited a long time for someone to take our drink order and the food took a while to come out.

Sat in a draft ,wait for drinks and food ,people in front of us a walk in got a better table .

Table booked for 7-30 . Took until 7-50 to take a drinks order . At 8-15 we decided to leave as no food order was taken . Went across the road to the Akash Indian Restaurant where service was really good and attentive . Will never give Amalfi a go again . The only positive was the girl in the camouflage t shirt who at least tried . Pity the rest of the staff didn’t try or didn’t care .
