My friends and I wanted to visit Universal City Walk and also take advantage of Magical Dining. That's how we found this gem in the lower level of the Loews Sapphire Falls Resort. The atmosphere is light, bright and airy, with huge plate glass windows providing a view of a nice landscape and water taxi launch. Service was professional, warm and friendly. As a party of 3, we ordered one of everything on the Magical Dining menu. Not one bad dish in the bunch. Everything from apps to dessert was amazingly fresh, moist, full of flavor, so delicious! We also enjoyed a couple of pitchers of the tropical sangria... YUM... light, fruity, so refreshing. It was the best compliment to the meal. Portions were so large, we took two bags of leftovers home! The only set back was getting our parking validated. It threw them off that we weren't hotel guests, but were accomodating. Already dreaming of a return visit.
Everything about Amatista was great. The service, the food. Just the whole experience. Nikka was our server. SHE WAS AWESOME!
Enjoyed our meals, while staying at Sapphire Falls.
Ambiance was outstanding. We arrived around sunset so the colors of the dining room were beautiful. Food was delicious and portion sizes were huge, really great bang for your buck!
We have been coming here since it opened and it’s always a great experience, the server are on top of it and if you have a good issue the chef will come correct it. Definitely a top of the line experience overall.
Nice looking restaurant, the food was just average and very along the lines of typical theme park food. For the price and atmosphere you’d expect more.
Visited the restaurant during Magical Dining. The staff was very friendly and professional, the restaurant is spacious so you are not sitting on top of each other, and the food was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the Ribeye which was both tender and flavorful.
Great service as always. Excellent food
Did not like my dinner at all. My food was completely cold and the service was horrible.
The waiter was very inattentive and the food was cold. It was 45 minutes before we received our main entree. We were not provided a valet parking permit and when we tried to leave the parking garage te were told that the charge would be $47.42.
Casey was our server and he was awesome. It was my first time here and the atmosphere on top of the food and quality is worth every penny. I intend on visiting again and hope I get Casey. Thank you Casey for making my experience magical.
I waited for 15 minutes before the hostess noticed that I had not had water in my glass. She then went above her job requirement to ensure that we had water and bread. Our waiter Luis came over and took our order. The experience with the waiter was horrible. I asked for no mushrooms on my meal and it came with mushrooms. He took it away and brought it back less than 2 minutes later which of course means that the mushrooms were wiped off. The broccolini was cold and my steak was not cooked properly. The service from Luis was less than satisfactory. This was my second time coming to Amatista but the first time for dinner and I will not return.
I truly love this restaurant so I am a bit torn about this review. We were promptly seated for a 630pm reservation. Hostess was very friendly. The waiter came to the table a took our drink order. Once the drinks arrived we ordered our meals. The waiter never brought out the bread that is normally served even though he gave it to the tables that were around us. He never came back to refill our waters. The food has definitely changed. The jerk pasta, paella and rum cake recipes have changed. They are ok and not the wow they once were. After finishing our meal we had to wait 25 minutes for a to go desert and the waiter to finally bring our check.
Suzanna and I had a wonderful time! The atmosphere was intimate and quaint. We were able to enjoy a private area and have our time as a couple. The restaurant even wen revive and beyond to meet a special request we had posted for our reservation! That generous gesture elevated the evening and our overall experience. Suhas, our waiter, was incredibly personable and friendly. He was attentive and diligent to our needs and we had such a pleasure having him with us! I’d you have the pleasure of having Suhas with you, you will feel welcomed and appreciated.
The food was delicious. Very flavorful and the servings were more than enough.
We love this restaurant and try to eat here whenever we are staying at Sapphire Falls. We tried the Magical Dining Experience this time, and it did not disappoint! I love the atmosphere here and the staff are fantastic.
We are locals and visited the restaurant Friday evening for Magical Dining 2021. Our server, Casey, was very helpful and attentive. The food was good but not great but a good value for three courses and only $37 per person. Also, we used the valet parking, and with a restaurant voucher, you only pay $5. We enjoyed a great evening trying a new restaurant and visiting the hotel.
Food was very dry and bland, all 3 courses! Service was great. Food was very disappointing, have to pay to park also. Very expensive night for a mediocre dinner. Disappointing.
The food was plentiful and tasty. The service was great and attentive.
I was really hoping for something great, but it was just your typical hotel restaurant.
Food was delicious and authentic. The staff was quite knowledgeable
We visited for Magical Dining. Delicious! Be sure to ask for that menu!
Convenient and decent pricing. Beautiful restaurant, very open, and staff friendly.
Server seemed stretched a little thin but the food was awesome! First time visiting.
If I could leave less than 1 star I would. I used to work food service in a tourist town, but have NEVER seen service so slow. Not only did it take over an hour to get our food, when it arrived it was cold and appeared to have been sitting under the heat lamps for a while. It was so bad that we decided to leave and go somewhere else for dinner because the food was uneditable.
The best value on Magical Dining by far
Food was amazing. Portion of food was good. Food presentation was great Only downfall the service was extremely slow. Reservations were for 8pm. Our server didn’t come our table to about 15 minutes later. Restaurant wasn’t as busy to justify the service being slow. Other than that I would return to the restaurant
Getting waited on took long, the food was ok but my chicken was undercooked and made me sick. They also need to add some seasoning. The place it’s self is very cute. I can’t say I’d bother to go again but the sides were good and the apps weren’t bad(again some seasoning would help)….it’s an okay place just not for me
We went to Amatista CookHouse to celebrate family birthdays. We participated in the Magical dinning. It was a great value and the food was very good. The service was not great. It took quite a while to be waited on. Had to wait for a while for our food which we could see was sitting in the warning area.
Great place for dinner. Beautiful setting and the food was fantastic. Our server wasn't the most attentive but the kitchen staff definitely made up for that. The Queso Fundido appetizer was excellent with a generous portion and the ribeye was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Would definitely recommend.
Great food and service. Food was tasty and the chicken dish comes with sooooo many sides. Steak was good and tasty deserts! Enjoyed the trips and will definitely be back.
We enjoyed Amatista Cookhouse food. It was good eats, but just short of great. My only real nit to pick here is that the service could have been more attentive the evening we went. My family ate here during Orlando Magical Dining Month so we had the paired down menu as part of Magical Dining.
For our an appetizer I had the chicken empanadas, which had good flavor but the presentation was very simple (see photos). Also the empanadas surely needed more filling inside. They still had good taste though. My daughters both had QUESO FUNDIDO for their starter and it was bursting with flavor. Without a doubt it was the best appetizer we had by far. You definitely need to try this.
For our entrees, I had the rib-eye steak which was cooked to perfection and exactly as I requested. It was juicy and had really good flavor. On a side note, I didn't not like their steak knives. It needed to have better serrated edge for cutting. My sides were mashed potatoes and broccolini and both tasted really good. My daughters had the SIXTY SOUTH SALMON and she said it tasted good, and my other daughter had a roasted chicken with three sides and she got the tropical fruit and the black beans and rice. It was a full meal for sure. She enjoyed all of that as well.
For desserts I had the CARIBBEAN RUM CAKE and it was delicious. I wasn't disappointed. You could definitely taste the rum and the ice cream put it over the top. Both of my daughters had the DIABLOS CHOCOLATE FUDGE CAKE and it definitely was chocolaty and very decadent and also tasted good.
Overall this restaurant was good. It's worth a visit but my one big nit to pick is that service was a lil lacking in not being as attentive as other spots we've visited but the food good. We had to wait on refills and it took forever to get our dessert course. The table next to us got in and out quickly and had the same server. Outside of the lack of attentive service the night we went, this is a good restaurant to try.
Went for Magical Dining plus purchased off regular menu.
Lovely experience. Fresh seafood snd Cuban style roast chicken. Would return.
This was our first time at this restaurant and it was great! The Caribbean menu had many options and we enjoyed everything we tried! The service was excellent and the view was pretty.
Was very loud. Hard to carry on a conversation. Food was good but overpriced. Service was lacking. Several items not available and took forever to get the replacements.
Being celiac the Chef came out and spoke with me. It was reassuring that I could eat with confidence! Thank you so much!
Food and service were great. We will definitely eat there again.
The desserts were good but the appetizers and entrees were not.
Food was ok. Steak was undercooked twice. Asked for salad dressing to come on the side yet it was all over the salad when it came out. Moscato was bitter, not sweet at all. Overall disappointing. Breakfast is much better.
