I am a Lancaster native and there is a lack of fine dining experiences within the city. Amorette has a prefix menu which is quite reasonable. We really enjoyed the wine pairing which was also quite reasonable. Food was quite tasty and on par with many other prefix menus we’ve had in other larger cities. I especially enjoyed that they had more unusual proteins such as antelope.
This is one of the best restaurants I have been to in my lifetime.
And the best in Lancaster, PA.
This place is on par with NYC fine dining establishments.
The staff was well informed and friendly.
My girlfriend says it was her best dining experience.
Trust Thierry- his wine pairings never disappoint.
Amorette was a great experience! The staff was attentive and friendly. The food was absolutely wonderful. Our party of 6 enjoyed the 4 course tasting. The sommelier was wonderful. He was so helpful in picking out a wine within our price range and that would compliment the variety of main courses each of us had that evening. We will definitely be going back!
The ambiance was lovely; the food was fantastic. We will definitely come again!
Best restaurant I have been to! I think it’s definitely a five star restaurant!
We had a lovely casual evening dining in the lounge. Beautiful decor and wonderful staff.
If you are looking for a unique and outstanding restaurant for a special occasion, look no further, this is is!!!
Our experience was exquisite! The staff was way above attentive! The food was out of this world! One of the finest dining experiences!
My husband and I had a lovely evening with superb service and food that presented as beautifully as it tasted. Chef Isaac knew of my dietary issues and created four delicious courses according to my restrictions; what a wonderful experience! Gabriel was very kind and knowledgeable, he described the foods beautifully and the Assistant Sommelier suggested a lovely wine from Italy and made sure our glasses were never empty. The dessert was a great ending to the evening along with the beautiful rose.
Thank you Amorette for a special evening of being pampered!
Amazing evening! Love Theiry’s wine pairings was perfect!
What a wonderful evening!
Easily the BEST meal I have ever enjoyed
The atmosphere is classy but warm and friendly
David was our waiter; he was excellent but also had a nice humor that made the meal fun. Thierry and Shaun were personable and very knowledgeable. I don’t like wine generally; but they assured me that they would find one that both my palate and pocketbook would enjoy.
It is a special occasion place; but so worth it
Another excellent dining experience at Amorette. The special Valentine’s Day tasting menu offered a nice selection of plates for each of the four courses with the fifth course being an outstanding dessert. Wine selection is always top notch and the Pinot from Tasmania was nicely paired with the tagliatelle and short rib. Amorette continues to be one of our favorite restaurants in LANC.
Welcome back to Amorette. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your Valentine's Day with us. We greatly appreciate your continued support and lovely review. Hope to see you again soon!
Everyone in Lancaster County or those simply passing through needs to experience Amorette at lease once in there lives if not more.
All of the staff were very friendly and took extra care to inquire about and accommodate my girlfriend's food allergies. The experience was fantastic.
Not up to its aspirations and price
My partner and I visited Amorette for Valentine's Day. Overall, it was a very positive experience. The bar was quiet and a nice place to wait for the table. The wine pairing, although it seemed slightly pretentious, was spot on. We enjoyed the food and experience greatly. They went a little too far when a woman tried to put my coat on for me though. We will definitely come back.
Thank you, Kelly, for choosing Amorette for your Valentine's Day celebration. We take great pride in providing a truly memorable dining experience for our guests from start to finish. We hope that this was achieved and that you and your partner had a lovely Valentine's Day!
We have dined here many times and the Valentines Day dinner did not disappoint. This restaurant is a wonderful indulgence when time/money permit.
Very attentive staff. Willing to do whatever they could to make sure we enjoyed what we were experiencing. The flavors of the food were very complex and delicious The wine choice was suggested and it was the smoothest red Shyraz I've ever tasted. Some special unexpected touches along the way and at the end. Beautiful comfortable decor and furniture. We loved sitting in wing chairs to dine.
We were entertaining our daughter and her fiance who were visiting from Los Angeles. We had a truly first class experience from start to finish. They were blown away by the presentation, quality of the food and the exceptional service and felt it compared favorably to any restaurant in Santa Monica and LA. Our server, Ossie, was simply the best.
When spending $300 on dinner for two, my expectations are high. Service fell off after restaurant filled. Meat was over cooked, which is unacceptable for a restaurant in this price range.
Our evening started out perfect and dropped off significantly after the second course.
While the food is good, it is pretentious and over priced. The restaurant is beautiful, the server's try their best, but this is a classic example of flash over substance. My $36 ribeye were two beef cubes that were cold, over cooked, and sided with the world's smallest fingerling potatoes. A restaurant definitely trying but when you make LA seem like an outstanding value, you are missing the mark. You are in Lancaster PA. Offer some value without the pretence.
This dining experience was spectacular and very impressive for Lancaster. Every detail was exquisite from the cutlery and table setting to the attentive service. Each course was beautifully presented with fresh, quality ingredients. Everything we ate was incredibly flavorful and delicious with perfectly sized portions.
While pricey, this restaurant is not just a meal but a whole experience (4 courses took 3 hours). We especially enjoyed the excellent wine selection and commentary by the charming Sommelier. Given the cost, this is not a restaurant where we’ll dine frequently but we’ll definitely be back!
What an amazing evening we had. Our party was two couples and we all elected to go with the 4-course menu with some add-ons rather than the 7-course menu and we are glad we made that decision. The 7-course certainly looked amazing, but the 4-course felt like we had a little more control over what we chose. The service was tremendous - not just what you would expect at a fine dining restaurant, but also very personable and fun and very open to answer questions or give opinions about options we were torn between. Terry (sp?) the sommelier was tremendous. Three of our group members requested a wine pairing with their meal selections and they were genuinely impressed with each selection provided and they were bottles that were reasonably priced for personal consumption and available in PA stores. We were just so impressed with everything about the evening and we will absolutely be going back again. What a wonderful addition to the Lancaster dining options.
We ate at the chefs table. This is hands down the best restaurant experience you will find anywhere. We've eaten at high end restaurants all over including philly. And nothing has compared to this yet. Joey in particular makes the experience 100 times better. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is relaxed. We've been here twice now and will continue to come every couple of months because nothing else compares.
Awesome food and service.
The food was amazing, we've never been so full in our lives. The service was excellent, very attentive and enjoyable. Overall we will go back whenever we can!
Very classy upscale restaurant. The decor is unlike anything else in the city. The quality is beyond my expectations
My husband and I were celebrating my birthday. We have been to Amorette once before, and though very pricey, we expected that and enjoyed ourselves. Last time we went for the three courses- this time we splurged for the tasting menu.
I have to say, for the value, I think choosing the three courses is a better value. Those dishes seemed more interesting. The tasting menu was excellent, but, nothing stood out as amazing.
Our server David, was pleasant, but, we really enjoyed our other server, Gabriel. A lovely and attentive young man.
One big caveat- when you spend $500 in a restaurant that has been awarded for its wine list, you expect a sommelier that knows their stuff. Our young “assistant” sommelier, was very sweet, and completely unknowledgeable about the extensive wine menu. She essentially googled a few wines I had expressed an interest in. I can do that. I ended up making my own choice. Apparently, the real sommelier was on the floor, but, not available to us. We saw him mixing with another table and he seemed to remember them. That definitely made us feel ignored.
Also- why are the servers dressed in everyday wear. Sadly, they looked a bit shabby compared to the smartly dressed and bow-tied kitchen staff who delivered our plates. The same for the lovely hostess at the door: her clothes were not dressy enough for the level Amorette is striving for. She mentioned their desire for a Michelin Star. Those are details that are essential for such a distinction.
We will return, I’m sure. But, it didn’t feel quite as “special” as our last visit about 2 years ago. There are some details to work on.
This is a dining experience from the moment you walk in until the moment you. We were graciously greeted when we entered and were seated immediately at a table set with lovely chargers. Our waiter was excellent at explaining various of the dishes on the four course menu. The young woman who also served us was charming. Each of the four courses was delicious. Portion sizes were just right. The courses were served at a leisurely pace to allow real dining. There is nothing about the experience that could have been changed to make it better than it was.
Overall Amorette is a “must go” place for Lancaster, with a few caveats. On a positive note, the decor is superb— avant garde for any city. A gem for THE upcoming city in PA. The bar is particularly nice and we will be back to just enjoy the fabulous cocktails and bar food. The wine selections are as expansive and thoughtful as anywhere. The dining area is elegant and, mostly, the waitstaff are attentive. The food is innovative, even experimental, in a good way. Overall a wonderful experience. This is not an inexpensive place so we were expecting the best. So, there were a few rough spots. First, after arriving only 10 minutes early, we were invited to the bar for a cocktail. We did so (and enjoyed the experience), but halfway through our drinks, the hostess came back to say our table was ready and we should go there immediately. This felt rushed (we were not at McDonalds after all) and it was irritating. We stayed to mostly enjoy our drinks before going to the dining room (they did not even complete our bar bill even though they had plenty of time). Then we got to the totally empty dining room. Granted, we were dining early at 6pm, but why were we rushed to an empty dining room? The waitstaff was polite, friendly, and attentive. The food (4 course pre fixe) was innovative but I would recommend care in selective. The food was too plentiful for a leisurely and innovative dinner. Some choices were extremely rich and a bit over-salted. So take care in selection. But, we’ll be back.
We were celebrating the birth of our son with the family in a private dining room, the experience was beyond what we expected. Exquisite food, service and overall experience. We're foodies and of all the restaurants in the area, including adjacent areas, it is the best!! We'll be going back for our anniversary!
incredible service, attention to detail, and ambiance. I am gluten free. When I notified the staff of this, they went above and beyond. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Waited 35 minutes to be served a cocktail after being seated. I know it is French, but the portions were sooo small- not enough food to counter the bottle of wine.
New Years Eve
Amazing food and wine! Such a special place!
Absolutely exquisite evening!! Everything was wonderful, service was superb, food outstanding., decor over the top elegant.
A simply incredible experience. Everyone in our party was extremely impressed by all aspects of Amorette. The only suggestion I have would be to add more craft beer selections to the menu. Dogfish and Stone are available anywhere. Maybe collaborate with a brewery to make a special Amorette only beer.
But everything was excellent! Every course was a work of art and presented as such. We will definitely be going back again and again!
As our first fine dining experience, Amorette did not disappoint. From the service, to the presentation, to the food itself, we could not have asked for better. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented.
Everything was wonderful except we kept having to flag down service for drinks, which then came very slowly. But food was delish, and the ambiance feels like you’re in a major city. Very cool, upscale place.
