Anthony's Hearthfire Grill Bellingham
Food was excellent, bread appetizer fantastic, but restaurant is too noisy, and booths too cramped. Tables looked a little better than booths, but still seemed a bit small for three or four people (e.g., where we saw three or four people seated at a table, it looked a bit crowded).
First time at Hearthfire Grill; menu is a bit narrow, but food and service were quite good in a nice atmosphere.
We had a wonderful time visiting with family for a Saturday lunch. The view was beautiful, food was very tasty, we had a wonderful time overall.
We have always enjoyed Hearthfire, but were so terribly disappointed with our dinners. We ordered well done steaks. . .not burned! They were burned and so were the veggies. Our server was very nice, but the food was not good.
Exceptional food. I had the big Pork chop. Done to perfection. My wife had large prawns. Her salad was tasty while I had the French Onion soup. Will return as soon as I save up some money
Overall a great dining experience. Great atmosphere and service. The steaks were great. My only comment is that my baked potato was barely warm. We will definitely come back in the future.
The evening was more than we expected. We are elderly couple celebrating our 65th wedding anniversary and chose Anthony's. The service was outstanding . Food was delicious and more then we expected. We were seated a little a head of reservation time, that was perfect for the beautiful sunset. Our table was on the upper level by the bar making the noise level high. We will definitely be back to Anthony's.
Delicious corn & crab chowder!
We selected Hearthfire due to the view, but were pleasantly surprised by the great seating with a great sunset, excellent service and delicious food. It was an important anniversary so by their design or luck, we sat by the windows and had a wonderful meal of St. Louis Ribs and Filet Mignon. We took the trio of mason jar pies home for dessert. Our grandkids loved them!
When I want a quiet comfortable restaurant with good food, service and a great view I always go to the Hearthfire. I have never been disappointed.
If was their special Escape Halloween coupon dinner for $20 off two dinners. They were very busy, even early, and probably a little understaffed.
Everything about our dinner was wonderful. We loved the ambience, the food and service was wonderful!
Looking forward to the next time.
Great service. The special price-fix meal was a terrific value, prepared and presented beautifully. DELICIOUS! The sunset views from our table, overlooking the bay and the marina, were exceptional.
We love Anthony's Hearthfire and return regularly for their consistently excellent food and amazing service. The ambience is refined, comfortable and allows for a quiet conversation over fine food and wines.
We recommend this wonderful restaurant enthusiastically and with warm memories of every experience we have enjoyed there!
Nice food, very good device and nice ambience. We enjoyed the flank steak and salmon cakes.
We visited 3 times in 4 days for lunch and dinner twice. Excellent service at 2 locations. Food was outstanding!!
We went there twice in three days and loved it both times! Excellent menu, nice wine list and good drinks! The view of the harbor is outstanding, particularly at sunset, with the afterglow.
The steak Oscar was cold, everything was over priced and the fluffy buttery biscuit on the Huckleberry Slump was burned and rock like. Just not worth the 200$ we spent.
The onion soup and crab soup were great. Restaurant was not busy but waitress kept forgetting things that were requested. Busboy was not very good, must not think the job is important, didn’t wipe tops of tables just edges, walked by several times with a pitcher of water but didn’t refill our glasses.
Good food, good service and great views. Enjoyed celebrating our 42nd anniversary with friends.
Every single person--from the hostess to the bus boy to the server--provided excellent service... responsive to questions, agreeable, observant. The food was delectable - my only suggestion is to list ALL ingredients for each dish on the menu. Views are great, room temperature just right. Would be nice to have an area for families with small children, so everyone is not constantly exposed to shrieks or bids for attention ... perhaps a complimentary plate of Cheerios or sliced bananas when families with small children are first seated? All in all, though, we were very pleased with both food and service, and will definitely stop there again on our travels north.
Always good and consistent. Great view of Bellwether Bay. We’ll be back!
I sent my parents here for their 50th Anniversary and they had such a wonderful time! I arranged it from a Canada for them and the staff were so accommodating and easy to deal with. They took great care of my parents, sent me the bill promptly and delivered an amazing dinner. Mum & Dad said the good was delicious and the staff so wonderful. Just excellent overall. Thank you so much
We were treated to dinner by a visiting friend who is used to fine dining. I had told her no meal was worth
50 dollars PLUS salad or soup. I was wrong! Best meal I have ever had out.
Recently used open table for the first time. Typically I make reservations by phone but wanted to try this site. Everything went smoothly! My table was ready at the appropriate time and it was a lovely window seat with a great water and harbor/boat view. Food was excellent. I ordered baked cod and my friend ordered flank steak. We had the four course meal which was abundant and full of variety. Would definitely use open table and this restaurant again! Well done all!!!
Our waitress, Gina, did a fantastic job taking care of us. I met a friend there whom has only been an email friend. She was in town for training for her job with her hubby in tow. We spent two hours visiting, eating dinner, etc. The food was great, and I cannot say enough good things about !
there was too much panco on the fish & chips. needs to be thinner
I ordered the "early bird" dinner that came with appetizer, salad, main course and desert.
The appetizer was a disappointment, steak strips on bruschetta. The steak was very chewy/tough and the "bruschetta" was simply 2 very small rounds of plain soft bread. not toasted, nor did they have any seasoning. The Caesar salad was excellent. The main dish was half a roasted chickend, mashed potatoes and green beans. A lot of food! Chicken was cooked well, but had a smokey flavor to it. Great mashed potatoes and gravey. Green beans were a little rubbery. dessert was a crème brulee that was good. Service was excellent and beautiful view.
We're somewhat frequent diners at Heartfire, and usually it's terrific all around, but this time out wasn't it's best offering. Still, our go to seafood restaurant on the water nonetheless cause typically its outstanding. Bad night for the chef I suppose.
One of our favourite restaurants. The view is gorgeous and the steak is awesome. The peach festival that is still on has a number of amazing choices. The speciality drinks and the peach cobbler are my favourite.
Do not get the early bird special. They use low quality ingredients to keep the price down. Spend a little more and enjoy what I hope is a better meal than we had with the special...
Great view and attentive staff. Waugh steak and potato were good.
Had reservations. Seated quickly. Great menu. Great time.
The service and the food were outstanding. Our waitress was a sweetheart. The view is very nice. We're definitely coming back.
We ordered the early dinner with the flank steak....the steak was very tough and way to much salsa on it. Would rather have salsa on the side. Everything else was excellent.
The view was amazing, and the servers were kind. It was a bit expensive - but that's okay. I enjoyed the food!
Service and food was beyond expectation. We had a wonderful wonderful wonderful, evening. Thank you!
We had a reservation and showed up early but got seated right away. When we asked if we could sit on the patio the hostess just said it’s kinda busy. She didn’t check and that was it. The server took about 10 min before she even came by to say hello. She was not very enthusiastic or seemed happy to be at work. I asked about happy which I believed it ended at 6:30 (it was 6:12 at this point) and was told it’s just in the lounge and on the patio and till 6pm. I asked about food suggestions but she wasn’t convincing with the three things she pointed out. Drinks eventually came and by 6:30 we decided to pay for drinks and leave. The initial feeling when we walked in wasn’t great, the server was horrible and the menu didn’t look that great and especially that the extremely high prices. We will never go back there!
My wife had the steak Oscar I had the Waygu sirloin, both were cooked to order, but were tough and very chewy, not tender in the slightest...
