Aquavue Cafe Restaurant

Unfortunately we didn’t actually eat at Aquavue that morning due to a 1 hour wait for any kitchen made food and due to having my two young children with me we couldn’t sit and wait that long for our breakfast so we left and ate somewhere else that was quicker.
We could see that it was fairly busy at that time of the morning so we are probably best to book in for breakfast a lot earlier in the morning to avoid this happening again.

Food and drinks were excellent overall for our breakfast thank you!

My meal was not very good, I am sorry to say. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Girl on register was pretty offhand ?? Other staff including male serving was great !! Food was great

Lovely venue. Friendly service, good variety on menu, great food. Tables well spaced and beautiful outlook over the water.

Second time running, booked table and upon arrival, was told they had the booking but another waitress had put someone on our table. We were then put on a large table, with strangers. On ordering meal, I wanted scrabbled eggs on toast. Was told that they couldn't do that is it was lunch time not breakfast I pointed out that they advertise all day breakfasts, was told that they had changed that recently and only did 3/4 breakfast dishes at lunch time. Not good

Unfortunately not as good as our previous visits - seafood platter was very poor not worth the money we hardly ate any of it. Salad consisted of half a tomato and limp dirty lettuce. Our dogs even turned up their noses to the pieces of fish which were covered in loads of thick batter and oil.
I have always said your seafood platters were exceptional good sorry on this occasion I have to say very bad.

Lovely place to have lunch Food was excellent. Definitely a place to visit if you come to Hervey Bay. The view is lovely.

The meals were huge and tasted great! Not overly pricey. Great position (overlooking the beach). Love the fact that you can bring your dog if you want!

The customer service was good as the staff are very friendly. The food was delicious and they have vegan options.

Myself and some friends visit here often for a meal or for breakfast and we have always found the staff to be very efficient and friendly.

Generally very good in a pleasant location. Pricing as expected for this setting and not over the top like some others. Only hiccup ordered two pots of tea...4 serves...and got 2 teabags, so essentially paid $7 for a pot of hot water. Will try again sometime.

Service extremely slow! Waited 15 mins in line to order and over an hour for food

We come for breakfast and was not disappointed. Pancakes are fantastic and huge meal!!

Understaffed. Took 45 minutes for them to see us to order entrees and dinner. Even after we asked.
We had to ask for our drinks.
They served us the wrong drinks and mixed up our food orders.

Our 3 pizza meal options were excellent plus the scrumptious Sweet Potato chips. The mocha frappe was sublime!

Amazing meal and great view/atmosphere. Feels like you’re on holiday. Friendly staff.

Extremely disappointing service and unhygienic cutlery. When I booked I asked for a highchair, this was not made available to me and they had sat us at bar stools, when I asked about the high chair they said that online bookings don’t get priority and have to be sat wherever is available even though I had made my booking days in advance. When we were moved and given a high chair it was missing a strap which was incredibly unsafe for a child to be in. It also didn’t have a tray so there was no where that my daughters food could go. I was given a spoon that hadn’t been cleaned properly and still had food stuck to the back of it. The food took so long that my child became very upset as we had been waiting for 1.5 hours for food, I needed to leave to feed my 1 year old and asked for my money back to which I was told no because our food was coming. I was extremely disappointed in this because I had seen other patrons receive their money back due to the long wait time. The people at the table next to us had their meals served wrong multiple times while we waited. The staff looked miserable and didn’t seem to want to be working at all. I ended up leaving without my meal and going to the shop across the road to buy my daughter some food as she was starving by this point. Overall we had an incredibly disappointing and expensive experience, I will not be returning or recommending Aquavue to anyone.

We choose to Dine at Aquavue because they have Vegan options & the setting is beautiful. I chose the Vegan Gluten Free Pasta but because they had no Gluten Free Pasta they turned the Meal into Risotto, which was still enjoyable.
My husband had the Salmon which he said was enjoyable also.
The sunset was beautiful & the staff very attentive.
An enjoyable experience. ♡♡♡

First time I had scones. Huge, rock hard, inedible but a friend bought them so I didn’t make a fuss. This time I thought no one can ruin raisin toast. Wrong. Stone cold fluff drowned in sugar and smothered with Lumia of spreadable margarine. Coffee was good. Greeting was lovely. What a fabulous location. Shame about my food experience. I would recommend for coffee and the view.

Terrific views out over the bay, on a wonderful calm day. Service was not good. My beverage arrived and although I consumed it very,very slowly awaiting delivery of my basic and simple food order, the beverage was completely consumed plus another 15 minutes before the food arrived. Staff were friendly and smoked a lot, but this doesn’t make up for the poor service.

The staff were friendly and efficient, the view was beautiful and the food was well prepared and delivered quickly. Thanks for a great breakfast!

Excellent service, however needs to check on bookings before giving tables out, when we got to the Cafe, one of the waitress's had given the table allotted to us to a walk in couple, who had not booked. The person in charge was very upset as she had to give us a very large table for 8 instead of 2
