   Picked this place for what we called a “lunner”, that is dinner at 3 o’clock and we almost had the place to ourselves on a Sunday. Very nice and cozy place with outside seating area. The food was unbelievable. The appetizers really good, we did a 4 persons combo plate and the we’ve been almost too full for the entrees. Kids loved the apps too, we had to order a second hummus. The hummus is nothing like the packaged one, it’s more like a home made, way way better than what you may be used to. We also had okra chicken, different chicken kebab, everything was excellent. Turkish coffe was perfect too.

   I made a reservation 6 days ahead on OpenTable. It was Mother's Day, and we arrived a few minutes early for our 5:30 reservation. The restaurant was easy to find, and parking was not a problem. A minute or so after we walked in, an older gentleman asked me what he could do for me - I told him my name and that we had reservations for 3 thru OpenTable - he acted like he wasn't sure if there was a table for us, so he went to check and then brought us to a table. A young woman poured us water, but then we just sat for 15 minutes with no one coming to wait on us. Then the man who seated us, asked us if we were doing okay, we told him that we hadn't met our server yet, and he was very apologetic and said he would take our order then. I had listed my food sensitivities on my OpenTable reservation, but when I tried to discuss my concerns with this man, he seemed to brush me off. He even brought us a complimentary appetizer because we had been waiting so long for service (but I couldn't enjoy it due to my food sensitivities, lol). The food tasted great, but I wasn't confident that I wouldn't get sick afterwards (I was fine, but it would have been great for a staff member to assure me they understood my needs). It seemed to take a long time to get someone's attention at the end of our meal to get a box for leftovers and our check. The whole experience felt kind of like we had come to a party that we weren't invited to!

    The owners and manager were fabulously welcoming. Our entrees and dessert…fabulous! We tried the chicken kabob and chicken mushroom curry; both terrific. For those with little ones, I noticed they had a pretty decent kids’ menu as well.

    First time in the restaurant although we have had carry out many times. The food quality always keeps us coming back. This time we dined in with a large party. The food of course great but the service was TOP notch! I cannot say enough nice things about this place!!

    I was disappointed. We tried it out because of the other great reviews. No one in our party enjoyed our food. Our server never checked back or asked if everything was ok. The rice was barely warm and overcooked. The baked eggplant was mushy and lacked flavor. The lamb shoulder was tender, but lacked seasoning. Will not be returning.

    My partner and I decided to try this restaurant since we like Mediterranean food. We went early, when they opened at 4:00pm on a weekday. We loved the fresh baba ganoush plus the warm, freshly baked pita made a sublime appetizer. We both had red wine—excellent. We followed the baba ganoush up with spinach pie. Surprise! We had four spinach egg rolls. Tasty! Our main dishes were salmon with rice and salad (Cathy) and Mediterranean curry chicken with mushrooms and creamy sauce. It was my birthday and we mentioned this. At the end, they brought out a small bowl of almond pudding with a candle. Sweet! We had also mentioned this was our first time here. It helped that it didn’t start getting busy until we left at 6:00pm except for carry outs. Sweet note #2: the young assistant sang Happy Birthday! We were planning a return anyway 😎. ~ Phebe

    The first time we’ve been to Artemis. Overall a nice experience although it took a little while for the server to get to us. The red wine was not the right temperature, it was actually warm for a red. Other than that it was a pleasant experience. My family loves Mediterranean cuisine, we will keep this place in mind for family gatherings.
