Artisan Ribble Valley
Excellent evening at the Artisan. Staff were superb and the foot was faultless.
Overall, a good meal out in a nice restaurant with good atmosphere. So can’t complain too much. Although, would say the price was quite steep for the food we had. Food was good and had a good night but don’t think we will be going back anytime soon.
We visited for a birthday meal on Saturday after eating here several times and really enjoying it. The music was turned off at around 10.30pm and this literally killed the atmosphere making us feel we should leave earlier than planned. The bar closed earlier than normal and we also had to wait a really long time for our desserts. It really made our evening fall flat which was really disappointing.
When we arrived it was incredibly noisy as probably a lot of people celebrating after work parties and a DJ on but the waitress asked us before seating us if we would like to sit further back in the restaurant which was a lot quieter. It’s a beautiful place and the food was delicious and the staff were really lovely, smiley and attentive. Would definitely recommend and will go again soon .
Beautiful food and service!
Been several times and it never fails to be anything less than superb
well presented and highly palatable food. the wine was overpriced but quaffable. Service was pleasant & attentive. We were asked at each table visit whether we required drinks- a little over enthusiastic given we had a full wine bottle on our table. The seating arrangements afford intimacy, and can cater for groups. Dress code for an evening should be stated as "Smart" . Diners next to us came in their outdoor walking clothes, we were in our Sunday best. All in all a pleasant experience.
An amazing dining experience set in the beautiful surroundings of the Ribble Valley. The service was fantastic and staff worked incredibly hard to ensure we had the best experience. The food tasted amazing, was beautifully presented and was value for money. Also they have live music on Saturday nights which gives you the chance to sit back and enjoy a drink in their bar area.
I would definitely recommend.
We booked a table and arrived on time. Ordered a drink at the bar but it didn't come so my partner went to get it. We waited well over 30 mins for main courses and did not order starters. I ordered Cajun salmon on spicy rice but the rice was under-cooked and sweet rather than spicy. The salmon was well cooked but no cajun spices evident and the veg side dish ( extra charge, which I think is un-reasonable) consisted of a few sugar snap peas and one tiny piece of broccoli swimming in water. My partner had roast beef which was tender but not enough vegetables were served with it. Why can't restaurants serve decent vegetables at no extra charge, they should be part of a meal? The waiter apologised for the salmon dish and offered to replace it but I said No, as my partner would have finished by the time it came. So I just ate the salmon and wet vegetables and went home hungry. They did deduct the salmon from the bill but it was a disappointing evening. However I always give restaurants another chance so I would go back again and try something else.
Its always good when you take your wife out for a meal and she enjoys the food and wine, I will have no concerns about booking again
Helpful friendly service, didn’t complain but commented about the triple cooked chips not being cooked enough, but then no response from management which was disappointing
Friendly, professional staff. Lovely atmosphere, excellent food, great value for money. Definitely recommend.
Excellent meal brilliant service and welcome touches to celebrate a birthday. Probably the best meal we have had in the UK in a very long time cannot recommend it highly enough
I havent been to the Artisan before, and was keen to discover another local restaurant, the food was excellent, although expensive compared to other places, however it could not be faulted. I did however think that the restaurant didn't have a great ambience, it was ok. and the service was a bit slow to the point you were having to chase down a server.
Out with a group of friends, who all commented on how good the food was. Nice ambience, and service good.
My husband and I were given an Artisan voucher for Xmas by our daughter who had eaten here on a couple of occasions. We thought the restaurant was lovely and modern, clean, tidy and well laid out so that the tables aren’t too close together.
Unfortunately 3 out of the 4 of us weren’t very impressed with the food. Asked if we could have a tomato
Garlic bread for a starter to share and it came as garlic bread with a few sun dried tomatoes on. My daughters burger was dry and so was the bun and my seafood linguine tasted just like pasta in chopped
Tomatoes, very bland taste.
Brilliant food, service and staff. Great restaurant and lovely atmosphere.
Great service and beautiful food . A really lovely evening especially with the roaring log fire. Would recommend to all.
Amazing food and the staff are always so friendly the whole experience is always loved when I go
Always excellent with delicious food
I truly couldn’t fault the place, this is our third time of coming and everytime is faultless. Food is excellent and the staff are very friendly and attentive. We’ll be back
Service was awful! Took 25 mins for our food order to be taken, an additional 40 mins for food, an addition 15 mins for it to be cleared. They got my drink order wrong twice.... we ordered the chocolate dipping fondant for dessert and it came rock hard so we couldn’t dip anything in.
We were a youngish group and it’s like they didn’t care that we were there. We probably paid more than most groups in there and was treated like children.
It is sad that such an establishment does not have its act together on special dietary needs. Your handed a guess the number allergy sheet, god forbid you have gluten and dairy intolerances....then the paint by numbers becomes a minefield. Bland and Boring food it is, huge market in dietary, worth the investment in a chef who knows his stuff....it’s lazy and uncreative to serve a customer bland boring food....and charge for the privilege when the market is awash with options....
Enjoyed-our meal at the aritizan restaurant on Saturday night, glad we don’t eat late because it got quite busy the later it got,the food we had was excellent and we can recommend the fish and chips,my only gripe is the choices on the menus are not great and are quite pricey so your very limited to choices I honestly would say more food selection at a lower price and it’s a perfect place. The staff were very professional and couldn’t do enough for us thank you for that, look forward to going againx
Nice restaurant staff were spot on, place was lovely and clean. Can't fault.
Lovely venue... smart and sophisticated environment. The food was good and presentation superb!!! There was an extensive choice of food and equally good choice of wines. The only thing I would say is that the music is rather on the loud side and you don't need this ad there is s general buzz of people chatting. But overall a very very pleasant evening. J would go agin and definitely recommend to others .
Fantastic night, went for my friends birthday, couldn’t fault it. Food was lovely, it was very busy however service was brilliant. Special mention to Erol who looked after us
Spent a very pleasant evening at Artisan, excellent food, the only downside to the evening was that we were sat next to the full windows, and it was extremely cold.
The evening started well but just got worse. The starters were okay but I had picked venison Wellington which I have had at other restaurant's but this was by far the worst meal I have ever had. The staff took my meal away to bring me back an equally bad meal the meat was so over cooked and the pastry under cooked. Another person also sent theirs back who was a qualified chef enough said. Then a singer proceeded to start singing who was a good singer but she was so loud you had to shout to have yourself heard.
Absolutely love this restaurant. The food is delicious , creative and beautifully presented. The restaurant itself is chic and staff make you very welcome.
I have visited several local restaurants, but Artisan is certainly my favourite venue.
Great as always. Friendly staff
Great thank you, always fabulous service. Lovely staff and clean environment.
Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Great food, great service, child friendly, good size portions, beautiful restaurant......will definitely return!
Great food and service! Would have been 5 out of 5, but the live music at the bar is a tad too loud, we had to shout across the table at some points.
Food was very good, staff very efficient, helpful, it was very chilled out atmosphere, we will definitely come again, the prices were reasonable , all in all a very good night, already recommended to friends
Friends night out with fantastic food and great atmosphere. Service was excellent and staff very accommodating and very friendly. We have booked our wedding here after a couple of visits, which we are very much looking forward to. Would recommend The Artisan for any occasion, it’s a chic city type restaurant bar on a country hotel in lovely surroundings.
Good variety of food on the menu and everything we ordered was well presented and delicious. Great cocktails although relatively expensive. The only criticism would be the delay in service coming to take initial drink order and then length of time for the drinks to be brought. The rest of the service was very good. All in all a good place to go for a meal out in a very pleasant environment.
Great food and service (maybe check if diners want main meals immediately after starters- just a bit rushed, but sometimes this can be good) Free birthday cocktail for the birthday girl made her feel extra special. Plastic straws aren't necessary in all soft drinks- I'd leave them out unless requested. Overall great- we'll be back soon!
