ARTISAN celebrates the theme of craftsmanship, combining 18th Century classic Scandinavian design with New England-inspired farm-to-table seasonal cuisine, artfully prepared by Executive Chef and Partner Frederic Kieffer.
PLEASE NOTE THAT OUTSIDE TABLES ARE RESERVED UPON REQUEST BUT CANNOT BE GUARANTEED.
If you have reserved a table outdoors, please be advised that in the case of inclement weather, we will do our best to accommodate your party inside at the same reservation time, however we cannot guarantee a table inside at the same exact time and may need to adjust the reservation time accordingly.

    Artisan used to be my favorite local spot. The last two times I went though, the same issue. First time, late this spring, it was cold, and mostly empty. Hostess tried to put us, both very tall, in a tiny table in the middle of the outside area. We politely asked for specific seating, in the corner by a heater. She declined, then that table and many others sat empty the whole time we were there. We ended up inside at a larger table, also in the middle of the floor, getting cold drafts every time the main door opened. After apps we decided not to order more food as we were so shocked by the rudeness and lack of care, and had lost our appetites. I stayed away for four months after that experience. This time, we came in early as well to celebrate two birthdays and had indicated our preference for a booth. The back bench we were brought to was filthy and stained, the booths all full. We again, gently asked for the corner but were told a party of five had reserved it by the blonde hostess. There were three of us. Over an hour later, a party of three were seated there, the other place settings removed. You can imagine my surprise. The food and service were fine, the cocktails and mocktails were amazing, but I've lost my interest in a business that feels like it's trying to give the impression of scarcity, yet can't seem to figure out the seating situation and routinely alienate repeat local customers when you can't even fill the tables you have. Get a new hostess who understands that good service experiences = dedicated regular customers.

    Had a wonderful ladies night out enjoying the outdoor garden. The staff was so hospitable, great ambiance and food.

    We’ve dined at this restaurant three times over the past three years and have always enjoyed the cuisine. However, on the occasion our table wasn’t ready until a half hour after our reservation time, and the staff didn’t appear to be overly concerned about our delay. We sat at the bar and had a drink, and I had to check in again on the status of our table as we were not updated on the situation. I assume we likely would have been turned away if we showed up a half hour late. Otherwise, the food was delicious and ambiance was great as usual.

    Extremely poor service- took at least 20 min to order drinks and then another half hour to get them. Poor service continued all night. 3 out of 4 dishes were not prepared well. Overall not a good experience for what we paid.

    All was great during dinner. Post dinner I had friends and business associates join my party to enjoy libations fireside at the property and the bar staff treated us all incredibly poorly! NOT a good experience! Fire the bar staff!

    Food is fantastic and ambiance is so cute! Honestly the best fried pickles I’ve ever had. Would highly recommend.

    I have been a regular for over 6 years. This is consistently a wonderful experience with a friendly wait staff and great food prepared as requested and with quality ingredients. The kitchen is very attentive to any dietary restrictions. Whichever area you choose to eat in ( tavern, pergola or main dining) you will be treated to a warm and beautiful environment.

    We love Artisan, the attentive service, the seasonal menu, and design of the restaurant seating areas and bar. Celebrating my birthday with a dear friend was memorable when we sat in the Garden on a perfect evening—solstice and Father’s Day. Thank you Victoria and others for making our experience magical!
