Appalling customer service!
Our main course arrived in drips and drabs about 15mins apart and my children’s plain pasta came last which caused a lot of upset. The chaos would have been worse if I hadn’t searched for your waitress to ask what was going on and remind her that we were still waiting for food - she seemed surprised.
The dessert was equally confused and took almost 30mins to arrive. I eventually spoke to the manager and tried to cancel the desserts because we needed to go, but the message didn’t get passed as she became more concerned with trying to give us a discount. Eventually all of the desserts arrived, as we were trying to leave, apart from my 2 year old son’s ice cream - even more crying.
The manager never had control of the situation and seemed very new and inexperienced and kept blaming the waitress in a very unprofessional manner.
It took us over two hours to have a simple two course meal and made us very late for the event we were attending. Not impressed with any aspect of the meal or the restaurant.
The pizza base is really doughy to the point of seeming a little undercooked... Disappointing. The service was good however
Although the restaurant was jammed packed the service was exceptional as always.All of the waiting staff are lovely here nothing is too much trouble.
The food was amazing as usual the only problem I ever have is deciding what to order from the extensive menuu
Extremely busy but to be expected on a Saturday near to Christmas. Fortunately we had booked. Staff as attentive as possible considering. Waited half an hour for food but we weren’t in a rush. Menu great for pizza and pasta; limited choice otherwise. Food was good and well presented. Very noisy until about 3pm. Great location and historic building.
Really bad service - waiting staff were completely incompetent. Had to ask to have table cleared after both courses after staff just kept walking past our dirty plates. Asked who was actually serving us and one of the waitress said “no idea” food was very slow which was difficult with a 2.5 year old. Told one of the managers that the service was appalling at the end and he didn’t even bother to ask why. Would not recommend very disappointing.
Real shame, having booked through opentable, that they did not have the booking. Were then taken to a deserted corner upstairs and staff very attentive - we counted 4 separate people who waited on the table.
Starter and pizza great and reasonable price - drinks were very pricy.
AFTER MAKING A RESERVATION WITH YOU AND HAVING CONFIRMATION, IMAGINE HOW ANNOYED I WAS WHEN YOU HAD NO RECORD OF MY RESERVATION WITH YOU WHEN I TURNED UP WITH FOUR FRIENDS. OBVIOUSLY SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOUR SYSTEM. NEED I SAY ANYMORE!
