At The Table BYOB
The chef greeted us and the social distancing worked like a charm! The Nova Scotian oysters to start all the way to their delicious watermelon milkshake to end, everything was tops! Perfect night for outdoor dining.
Great outdoor dining, very well spread out. Food and service was terrific. Highly recommend.
By far, At The Table offers a unique & delicious dining experience. Unlike so many other outdoor venues, they've achieved exceptional social distancing via sparse table placement in a small park across from the restaurant. With an infinitely listenable guitarist, their ambience is hard to top.
While menu prices trend high, the food quality exceeded my skeptical expectations. The Wellfleet oysters were satisfyingly fresh tasting. The mundane-sounding coconut shrimp appetizer was was elevated to a new level with perfectly crisp breading and an exceptional mango sauce. However, the star of the meal was the New England Seafood Boil prepared in a truly sublime broth, possibly the finest I've had outside of Le Bernardin.
I look forward to more meals among the trees At The Table & sincerely hope they can extend their outdoor dining season well into the fall with some propane heaters and enhanced lighting. I never thought pandemic dining could be so safe and so enjoyable.
Excellent food and service outdoors on a summer evening. The guitar player was excellent as well. It’s 5 stars all around but I hesitate to say so because it might be harder for ME to get back into next time.
Fabulous food, great evening.
Will definitely be going back.
Delicious dinner under the stars! Food was delicious. Highly recommend. All servers wore masks and gloves.
Enjoyed out first foray into the world of dining at a restaurant. So glad we did. There are perhaps 8-9 tables set in a grassy area in downtown Wayne. Felt as safe as we were dining on our patio at home. Can highly recommend the coconut shrimp and my arctic char was perfect for this summer evening. My husband's choice of steak was
enjoyed as well. Service was friendly and timely. We will return.
You can always count on great food here .
What an amazing experience. The chef came out and told us exactly about every dish that was on the menu. We ordered a couple appetizers and a couple main courses and everything was phenomenal
The best of the best, thank you so much for an incredible feast. Just enough of each dish to leave us ready for the next. Left fully satisfied!!
The food is delicious here . We had the attic char . Best we ever had .Because of the pandemic we got to eat outdoors under the trees . It was wonderful and the music was a really nice addition .
Overall, it was a lovely evening outdoors, our first in months. I guess my husband and I have become better cooks during this pandemic and perhaps now have higher standards?? I also had seen the high reviews and expected this to be somewhat of a hidden gem. We definitely had a nice time, but I didn't see the sparkle. We were disappointed by the average quality of the food and the small portions for the price. We paid $100 just for two tiny entrees (no appetizer, we brought our own wine). The waitstaff spoke lavish praise of the lobster gallete, but it was over-fried next to a small amount of too-spicy pasta. My husband's scallops with some kind of saffron were fine, but not excellent. The waitstaff was working hard and attentive to all the customers seated outside. The atmosphere on the median strip in front of the restaurant, with the lights and local musician singing, was relaxing. I just expected more from the food. Maybe that's unfair in a pandemic. My advice I suppose would be to stick to a few basics that you can do really well, and price them fairly.
At the table is always a fantastic dining experience and tonight was no exception the lobster selection on the menu was absolutely breathtaking delicious and we both enjoyed sharing it - the barbecued brisket was almost as good which makes it better than anything else you could get in Wayne. The avocado soup was indescribably good and what a wonderful thick consistency it had and equally delicious was the watermelon pot salad not to mention the cream brulee or strawberry pannacotta. All wonderfully served Alfresco with live music by an attentive wait staff with the chef personally checking on every single table. This is a not-to-be-missed dining experience
The Chilean Sea Bass was wonderful! The service was great. So glad we had our first meal out ( and safely outside and very distanced ) there although it is going to be a tough act to follow elsewhere.
My new favorite dinner place in Wayne! Great service, the fried Brie was incredible, and I hope the limited edition hot dog becomes a staple on the menu. With the menu changing every week, I recommend everyone try this hidden gem. Best place on main line!!!
Creative in the face of Coronavirus precautions! The tables in the grass are lovely, but bring your bug spray. The food was delicious. I had scallops which were fresh and tasty. The service team seemed a bit disjointed but understandable given the circumstances. Overall a lovely first evening venturing out. Guess we wouldn't have eaten if it rained, so keep an eye on the weather.
The gazpacho was sublime, friendly and attentive service, safe and pleasant outdoor seating. Thanks chef and servers!
The food overall was good. The staff was amazing. So nice. I had the mushroom toast which was really delicious. For dinner I had the ribs which were pretty much like any other ribs I’ve had. Nothing special, but the did fall off the bone which was nice because it was easy to eat. Overall for what they have to work with right now it was a good night out.
Great outdoor seating but the food was subpar. My entree was dry, over cooked, and lacked flavor. The gazpacho was puréed to a watery consistency and should have been put in a glass and served as a drink. Nice people though!!
The food is tremendous and the new outdoor seating is so fun! Truly amazing restaurant and staff!
Simply the best. Outstanding food, incredible service and perfect ambience for a night out with those you love.
For the prices, I expected this to be MUCH better. Yes, it’s BYOB so that helps, but everything was way overpriced for the quality. Food was good for suburbs, but pricier than most of the NYC restaurants I go to. Nothing remarkable.
What a BYOB should be!, excellent and exciting food to choose from. My Elk was one of the best meats I can remember, perfect!
Amazing food and service!
Lovely little place that served amazing food!! Wonderful service and BYOB made the night complete. Would go back again in a heartbeat!!!
Amazing food!! Delicious and creative. Our server, Eric, was wonderful!!
Can’t wait to go back.
Way too noisy!,
What a gem. I'm still amazed to have such a fantastic restaurant right here in Wayne. Go for the experience. You won't regret it!
From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted by the executive chef. He was extremely friendly and made us felt like we've known each other for years. Small intimate restaurant and perfect for any occasion. He answered every question about every item on the menu and was able to alter accordingly to our likes and dislikes.
The food!!!!! I'm drooling thinking about the meal we had last night. From the mushroom toast, beet salad, oysters, develed eggs, red snapper and elk tenderloin ( we practically ordered everything on the menu). Everything was made to perfection and I will definitely be coming back.
I cannot say enough great things about this place but it is a must go to if you're in the area.
What a an amazing treasure in Wayne! The Head Chef is a genius- the food is delicious, elegantly plated and innovative. The staff and ambiance are wonderful!
I will be back and highly recommend At The Table to others!!
Consistently good food and service...thats all you need to know.
This place is a true gem in Wayne The food was spectacular- in quality, taste and presentation. The head Chef and staff are very talented and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is a foodie or wants to expand their dining experiences!!
The food was fantastic. It was a very quiet relaxing experience. Each dish was handcrafted and delicious. The service was also wonderful. It is BYOB which is the cherry on top.
Way exceeded my expectations! Staff was incredible and food was unbelievable! Can’t wait to go back. This place is such a hidden gem!
This was our first time at At The Table and we will definitely be going back. My husband and I shared the Chicken Satay which was incredible. Great flavor and the chicken was so juicy. We both had the soup du jour which was a Butternut Squash. We both agreed that the flavor was great, but it was way too thick for us...more of a creamy yogurt consistency than a soup. The flavor was unique and very good, though. My husband had the beef tenderloin which was cooked perfectly and he really liked and I had a homemade bolognese with shrimp, smoked salmon and peas which were wonderful as well. For my pasta, I just wished it had been in a wide shallow pasta bowl instead of a small, deep cereal-like bowl. It was a weird presentation and made it a little hard to eat, especially since I had to cut the shrimp to eat it. Other than that, it was a great dinner at a spot that more people should know about...and byob which is great.
There is no reason for anyone giving less than 5 stars for this gem. That reflects the poor taste of the individuals as diners than on the restaurant who always give their best. You also cannot compare this restaurant to any restaurant in the city; that makes no sense and no restaurant in the city is better. Sorry, but we've been all over the city and were disappointed enough to come out to the mainline. This is truly our favorite spot; everything is always done to perfection. No complaints. Not everyone's cup of tea because the food is perfectly portioned and it's more about the experience than stuffing your guts. Alex and Tara know good food and they're good people. We always come back.
Really just amazing food
Terrific a must go to destination post Corony we need to keep them thriving. Love sole proprietorships. Food was terrific. If I were to be picky, I would prefer oysters without their sweetish dressing... it hid the brinyness.
Our first time dining At The Table. For a Sunday night the offer was a Prix Fixe for $65 per person for 4 courses. Each course was fantastic. Beet salad with goat cheese and pickled cucumbers was absolutely perfection. Beets were perfectly cooked and cheese not overpowering at all. Second course we had the grilled octopus over a ragu of beans and chorizo. Also perfect! For the third course my husband had the perfectly cooked scallops and I had the perfect trout. The trout had a crusty top that was so delicious. Final dessert course was bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Just enough to finish the meal. It was not dried up like many bread puddings. Also had a half sliced banana with crunchy toppings and whipped cream. Again, perfect! The service was great. For such a small place, we didn’t feel we were being hovered over at all. Owners made us feel very welcome. Will definitely be back! What a gem!
This was our second visit to the restaurant. We had a great experience both times. Great team from the chef to the servers. Seared foie gras was phenomenal both times, and the execution on the seafood dishes was excellent. I would especially recommend the octopus. Overall, great dishes across the board, and a cozy and homey atmosphere. We will certainly be going back.
