ATAS Modern Malaysian Eatery at The RuMa Hotel and Residences
I will come for Sunday brunch again. Everyone in my group quite enjoyed. I’m looking to promote your place to circle. Cheers, Snow
Server got 2 orders wrong even though we were the only ones at the restaurant. Waiter and busboy too busy talking to each other and checking their hand phones to notice us.
Food was unique but didn’t really hit the spot, especially for the high price tag.
We have been to your restaurant shortly after you opened and it was average at best. Our last visit however I must say you really shined. The food was exceptional and we have had a very nice dinner, many thanks. We will come back
Beautiful ambiance and value for money but the portions are rather small
Absolutely amazing. Atas did an amazing job on the valentine dinner special. Love it
Valentine day is crowded everywhere I believed. The table arrangement is lack of privacy and not comfortable with the height of dining table.
Ambience was good but seating was too close probably it was a peak day.
Very good modern Malay food. Imaginative cuisine with interesting flavours. Like most fine dining good cooking comes at a price but this is not excessive and I think proves value for money. Obviously the chef is trying hard with a good level of success. Restaurant probably needs a bit more atmosphere but service is very good.
Fantastic! Worth a special trip..... Michelin star!
Great food and ambience (though we had a noisy birthday party next door, not the restaurants fault). I would come back again however the birthday celebration was marred by how I had to wait more than 2 hours for the Fourth course in my five course meal. My companions had already gotten theirs and they ordered the eight course. No attempt by the manager at that point ( a lady) or waiters to check on the status of our meals which would have helped.
Was a memorable and great experience having our Christmas Eve dinner over there. The service and the foo was simply outstanding. The ambience was nice and didn’t hinder us from having a good conversation throughout the dinner. They standby with their hostmanship and provide us the human touch that’s missing in some other places. Keep it up and looking forward to celebrate our next occasion there.
Great crews and teams in restaurant. Quite enjoying the dinner session.
Good food, awesome atmosphere. Very nice decor . Service was good, waiters attentive but not in your face. Nice and I will definitely return again
Food and the atmosphere was good but the service was poor should have be more understanding and friendly to customers
Excellent services and staff friendly.
Will go back again for dine in.
Dine in area No smoky no smelly from kitchen.
I was not aware that there was a guest chef so first and foremost I think the restaurant should have contacted me to inform me that it was set menu instead of the usual ala carte menu as that was what I wanted to try. Secondly the service was quite bad - dishes were just plonked onto the table without much explanation and dishes were kept without clarifying whether we were done. Lastly we were there to celebrate a friends birthday and we had requested at least twice for them just to write a simple happy birthday on the dessert plate and yet this was not done. All In it was not a very enjoyable dinner.
Lunch set is value for money. The mains were really good, the snacks were hit and miss. Overall was a pleasant experience
Its was our first time to be here for my hubby's 40's BD n very good experience!
Nice ambience, food and service. We tried the express set lunch and was wonderful. Nurul was attentive.
The food was very mediocre
Overall a very pleasant experience. Food was tasty and well plated.
Service of the team was friendly and helpful.
Appreciated the birthday surprise cake - it was a very nice gesture and cake was very good.
Our expectation of the Pie Tee was not as the usual serving style. It was an ok dish.
Maybe serving the breads warm would be a nice touch:)
Restaurant is very good interior and well decor. Nice ambience and atmosphere for any occasions.I went there to try their New Sunday Brunch launching after saw some reviews & flyers through social media and absolutely ONE of the BEST Brunch in town.Last but not least the food selection soooooo Yummy and meet my palates.I'm believe Chef at ATAS restaurant really talented to created such an amazing & delicious food (5* rating of course). It's remind me my childhood time eating food on hawker stall in my town,Ipoh. Definitely will return back to taste more creativity Malaysian flavours food by ATAS Chef and their Head Chef Tyson Gee!!!!!!
Cool and nice food.
Refined and modern take on Malaysian food in a very elegant setting. The staff did their best to manage some of our complaints including getting a blanket for my freezing friend.
My main gripe was about the portion size, other issues such as relatively inexperienced staff and cold bread served marred an otherwise good evening.
Creative flavours. Average wine options. Quantity too small. Prices too high. Pleasant service.
Very delicious food with a focus on local ingredients matched with impeccable service, cant wait to come back again!
We enjoyed the food at Atas and the overall ambience was good. We were very disappointed with the service. The waiter was inexperience and not able to give us a proper answer on the menu. He even served a plate across the table. It was our first time at atas and unfortunately will be our last even though the food was good.
A couple of the food we ordered needed more seasoning eg scallop but the rest had good balance of taste. The dessert choices were limited and not quite Malaysian enough, not impressed wt the Bom Alaska. Good looking hotel and restaurant
Food is superb. Restaurant interior is very nice. The waitress & waiter are very friendly too.
We love the quality of the food and appreciate the fresh ingredients used. However, it was not valued for money as the portion was small and it is rather expensive / dish. We also waited 30 mins for our mains.
Food - mediocre at best. Dining experience saved by the ambience and service. Plating was not outstanding. The bread - more like bun(s) we could get in schools - and the salted butter and cream were pretty regular. The smoked eel and dash of roe was good. They did not need have the ribs we wanted so settled for the chicken confit - was prepared (creatively?) and placed rather oddly, I felt sorry consuming the chicken. Flavour with local ingredients- ok, good effort and ideas. Dessert was good until I realised there seem to be alcohol in the durian ice cream?- if so, didn’t like that - the after taste/effect. Would prefer clear caution of alcohol if any.
Where to begin! ... Had dinner with a few friends. Menu is perfect, definitely something for everyone, unique flavours, presentation was a feast for the eyes.. must order the ocean trout salad!. Service was awesome and and very accommodating. Will be back!
Overall a disappointment - noone mentioned it was gonna be a Ramadhan buffet. And to be frank, this downgrades the value proposition of the restaurant to an all-dining place
in love with the interior, nice dinner ambiance. food was good, i like the concept of semi buffet, less food wastage. food was yummylicious.
5 star hospitality!
Absolutely pleasure to dine here. The taste combinations were very refined and yet innovative and often bursting with originality. The butterfly kebaya which intoxicated the eye upon entry into the ‘inner sanctum’ was indeed something to behold ..not out of place in a fantastical movie set. Will return here soon.
Atas is a really lovely place for a treat or that special occasion. The service is very attentive. The place could do with a plat du jour or specials of the day as this was my second time there and I don't think I will return unless there are new items on the menu. The downside was that the place closes at 1030 and by 11 you feel obliged to vacate the premises.
We've ordered 6 dishes and found only 1 dish delicious. In terms of the service quality, the waiters were very attentive, but can observe that they lack experience. Specifically speaking, when the waiter first gave us the butter, I do understand that they would like to impress the customers by showing how they serve it, but the shape of the butter was not in its form. The waiter also seems to not know the menu, as he was confused where his recommendations were located on the menu. Also, among my dining experiences in hotel, it was my first time to call waiters to refill my water. On my experience in fine dining, waiters were always attentive to refill the water before request. Lastly, I was shocked when one of the young waiters tries to take the plates though we didn't finish that dish. All of the complaints mentioned are understandable, if this was a meal with a mid price range.
Nice ambience, innovative food. We enjoyed the different flavors. Only one suggestion, to serve the main course all together. We ordered 3 dishes , 2 came together while the third came almost at the end. Thanks for the nice experience
Quiet and the meal was super delicious. The waiter Bell was extremely helpful and service is super tip top.
Easy Parking - Lovely Setting.
Has to be one of the best chefs in Malaysia.
The fusion with Malaysian ingredients incredible.
One of the most exceptional meals I have had anywhere in the world.
My guests from Scotland and England living in France but nearby and visiting Spain and they both amazed.
Whilst locals "may" indicate privy I would reply you are eating food prepared and cooked by an exceptionally talented MasterChef without doubt.
