Our Executive Chef delights in preparing exquisite dishes with a focus on local and sustainable fare and our Ventura restaurant serves up delicious, classic American fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Join us for breakfast and savor organic egg dishes, delicious breakfast meats, fluffy waffles and pancakes, fresh fruits, freshly squeezed juices, steaming hot coffee, herbal teas and more.
For lunch, try the Seared Ahi, a juicy Angus beef burger, or one of our incredibly fresh and tasty salads. At dinner, the Habanero Lime Sea Bass is a favorite as is the Filet Mignon, seared to perfection. Please be sure to ask your server to recommend a California vintage to complement your meal, as our wine list is both extensive and approachable.

The view was beautiful but the actual restaurant is lacking. There was a weird smell -maybe sewage system. We moved to the outside patio area and it was better. Concrete floors in the patio area were dirty and needed a good scrubbing. I had the scallops. The actual scallops were tasty but the prosciutto with it was tough and I couldn’t chew it. The croutons which are house made were flavorful but had sat too long and were mushy. It wasn’t served really hot either so that didn’t help. Service was very good.

We had a wonderful dinner and drinks for Labor Day weekend. James and the rest of the staff were outstanding in their service and attentiveness. Is it expensive? A bit. But the beautiful outdoor setting, combined with the excellent service and relaxed atmosphere - tables were able to sit and dine for hours with their party, allowing true European style dining - were worth it. Food was excellent - scallops were especially good, as was the chocolate lava cake. Drinks were likewise v good - the French gimlet was exceptional. Overall a wonderful evening on a holiday weekend.

The ocean view was beautiful! Our server Eric was very good and attended to our needs. Unfortunately my pork chop was dry. My vegetables needed seasoning. My husband had the chicken. His was good. For dessert he had the bread pudding. Though it was good, it was pricey for what he got. I would probably try them for breakfast but I won’t be back for dinner.

We arrived, checked in with the hostess and we’re seated. We saw a server repeatedly visit other tables however we were not greeted by a server until 15 minutes after being seated.

This place was way too overpriced for the service that we received. It got slightly better as the night went on, but it felt like a slap in the face honestly when a server didn't come by for over half an hour each time we tried to order food or drinks. Both steaks came out overdone, but we were so over how long it was taking, so we didn't ask them to fix it. Also, no one bussed three tables around us for a majority of our dinner that evening and there was a complete mess around us. It was a disgrace. Not to mention, after making a reservation, these people seated us on a completely slanted table in the middle of the patio. It was so slanted, you could BARELY put a drink on it. Service was just bad all around. As a local, I was very surprised to see this place had so many good reviews. If you want something close to a perfect dinner, this ain't it. You're better off choosing larsens or anywhere else to save the money. Trust me on this one before you are $150 in the hole. Really embarassing service. This place needs to do a self- evaluation if they really think they are on top of things there. It sucks cuz I wish I had another great place to go to, but now I gotta warn other locals to steer clear of this place. SMH

The ambience and service was exquisite. All of the food was excellent with the exception of the dessert. The cheesecake was "spongy". I would however recommend this restaurant to my family and friends, and my wife and I will surely dine here again.

We loved that we came early & sat outside with an ocean view. The inside didn't seem warm (I mean the decor/ambience...still under construction?). The one negative is we didn't see any notification on the Austen's website to let us know they were serving a special Valentine's Day menu. The prices were very high/portions small. (But delicious!) We do plan to to again to try the regular menu.

We were not sure what to expect, knowing that the restaurant at the Pierpont has had its ups and downs over the years. But we were pleasantly surprised. In spite of the construction taking place, the restaurant was warm and inviting and the food and service were excellent. We recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place for dinner in Ventura.
