    We have created a classic teppanyaki experience in the Flame Room at Azumi. This is a chef driven experience which you meal is prepared directly in front of you on a "teppan" style grille. The term teppanyaki means "iron plate grille". This is not your average Japanese cuisine rather we feature a menu with eccentric and exotic products served by our professional team.

    I really appreciate the entire Azumi family making my brother’s milestone 18th birthday very special!! It was a wonderful occasion and he really enjoyed himself! The cuisine was delectable! Our chef and hostess were great! The Flame Room was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! My family and I will definitely be back!!!!!!!!!

    It was delicious but shells kept on shrimp. Hard to see the little shells so I ate one. Thought it was a little pricey but for that location I understand.

    We decided to try Azumi for our wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint! We booked the flame room on a Sunday evening and it was a quiet, almost private dining experience overlooking the harbor which was really romantic! We decided to share the chicken and filet which came with an appetizer, garlic fried rice, and seasonal veggies. We had the miso soup which was delicious and the fried rice was out of this world! We were told that it was an extra $35 to share an entree which includes larger portions of the rice and veggies. It was more than enough food for 2 ppl and it was less expensive than ordering 2 entrees! We also ordered the chocolate lava cake which was the perfect dessert to end our delicious meal! The cocktails were really unique and yummy as well! Service was excellent, 10/10 recommend—We will be back!

    Great service (albeit slow) and ambiance on a Friday night (although loud DJ music which we didn’t mind) but the food at the flame room was overpriced and not great flavor. Better hibachi elsewhere for much cheaper. I have done the tasting menu at the main dinning room and that is worth the price.

    Our server was great, but the host was overbearing and intrusive to our party. The food was lacking flavor and the teppanyaki wasn’t the show one would expect. NOT WORTH the expense - we will not return.

    Very over priced food was fine but lacked flavor/seasoning. Service was pleasant but your an after thought in this back room multiple times the server would come back after 20-30 mins and ask if we got our drinks which we hadn’t. The hibachi chef was very nice but there was zero show not that I would want much but for over $500 for 3 people would expect something. Would not recommend find a place for 1/3 the price

    Excellent meal with an expert chef. The whole family enjoyed and found the meal to be exceptional. Some highlights include the duck breast, the ribeye, and the lobster. They also were wonderfully accommodating to a gluten intolerance and went above and beyond to make sure that family member had the same amazing experience as the gluten eaters.

    Food was outstanding. No “show” with flames but the food and service made up for it. The gentleman who was our server was very attentive and kind. Great experience after a long day on the lacrosse fields.

    Excellent food and service, but very overpriced. $325 for two people is crazy. Also, people in hoodies and t-shirts is not what I expected for a nice restaurant.

    I took my wife here for mother's day We booked the flame room and didn't see any flames. The cooks told me they had a accident and a customer got burned. They still advertise it as the flame room. False advertising..... Disappointed.

    Beautiful location and decoration, loud in the flame room, food was very good, drinks were good, dessert was amazing. Service had issues, and overall it felt like they lacked the attention to detail that is expected with a restaurant of their caliber. It left me feeling like I didn't get the value I expected for the price I paid.

    Terrible management. Overpriced food for no reason. No real quality. Service was a disaster. For a restaurant that includes a mandatory tip at the end of your meal (20%), service was not on par. Waiter was rude, uncordia, and did not even ask a basic question: do you have any food allergies?

    While overall we had a pleasant experience, I don’t think I’ll be returning. There are only 3 “flame room” tables so when the party before us took their sweet time clearing out, we were seated for our 7:30 reservation at 8:20. The food is standard hibachi, and pretty tasty, but you’re definitely paying for the ambiance and vibe. Also didn’t get much of a hibachi “show”, just live cooking.

    Wonderful view, outstanding server, mediocre hibachi experience. We were seated in the Flame room where they are unable to do any fire tricks at the hibachi table. We needed to ask to see a flipping food trick by the chef, in which he did a poor job. We would not return.

    The food and service were wonderful, but I don’t like sneaky forced tipping. I paid and tipped 30% because everything was awesome. Didn’t look at the tab until later while waiting for my cab and saw that they had included a 20% tip in the items in the bill. Never saw that mentioned on the site or on the menu.

    Everything was great! My only complaint is the table where we were placed was at the entrance to the kitchen and we were constantly knocked into by the chefs and their carts. I can’t help but think we were punished for my son’s being late to arrive at the restaurant, because there were lots of other seats available it seemed. Quite pricey too for hibachi.

    Unfortunately Azumi didn't live up to the expectations we had based on the description in the website. Service was slow and the flame room, apparently wasn't allowed to have flames. So it was boring and not like Hibaci at all. The chef tried his best but said he was not allowed to do the fun things that make Hibaci an entertaining dinner. The portions are also small and the chicken was dry. We don't mind paying a high price when it's worth it but this was not.

    Unfortunately, the experience was not good. The place was very loud, it smelled a lot of burnt oil and the food was not tasty. I am very rarely writing reviews, but unfortunately the experience was really bad.

    The Flame Room is a beautiful private room set inside of Azumis. Staff try their best to keep each group at its own private table, which for a group of two was a perfect romantic evening. The food and service were both top tier.

    Probably the most disappointing experience outside of the ritz tea room in London. Although I think the ritz was better. Waiter disappeared constantly. The reservations we for a birthday that we let them know and also requested a birthday cake/dessert. Nothing. We waited about 10-15 minutes for the waiter to come back. Never did. The person the birthday was for ended up going to pay while we were waiting. Save your money for a $350-$400 plus meal the service was atrocious.

    The food was outstanding and the teppanyaki experience really amazing. The downside was that the staff started cleaning the table with their wet wipes whilst we were still eating and the check was presented before we finished our meal with one guest from our party having yet to finish her plate and was still enjoying her meal. We were quite shocked by this lack of basic table manners especially in a 5 star establishment. The staff need to be trained to meet luxury establishments standards.

    Very poor experience. The service was slow, the chef didn’t know what he was doing and clearly not trained. The manager agreed with me and to be fair did take all the food off the bill but it was a very poor tepanaki experience.
