Great place! Loved food and drink
An amazing place! Will definitely recommend to others!! Had a wonderful server as well
It is one of the hidden gems of Chicago. The view is of Michigan Ave. The room is as classy as can be. Our waiter, Steve, was on top of everything and set the standard for cool. The food was outstanding. My wife's Monkfish was amazing.
We could not have had a better Valentine's Day dinner.
Very good atmosphere vibe and the food was delicious. I will be coming again :)
Come for the DIY bottomless mimosa/Bloody Mary bar and the views! We really enjoyed the bar and all the toppings/juices you could add to your drink, plus they are really strong. The food is just ok, but a good base to soak up all the champagne and vodka!
Great for brunch with a view!
Service below expectations. Server had attitude. Asked for napkin. Never received. Order received with a glare rather than a smile.
Restaurant seemed to have an older crowd. Not hip or fun.
Beautiful restaurant with a great view. Service , drinks and food was excellent
Great service, mimosa bar was delightful. Good food, but small portions. Highly recommend.
We have been to this restaurant twice. Both times the service and food have been outstanding. Thomas is extremely knowledgeable about the food and knew just what to recommend. T was our server for brunch. She was friendly and made sure we were taken care of. Baptiste and Bottle is well worth it. We have yet to try anything we didn't like and their drink selection is impeccable. I highly recommend dining here.
We sat at a high top table facing Michigan Avenue. Fabulous view. Everything we ate....appies, mains and desert was fantastic. It was a great experience
The food and atmosphere were great! It was also filling. The drink recommendations were spot on for our preferences. We will be returning!
Great food and views! Too too loud, though. Exceeded the “Energetic” rating.
Food took so long to come out nearly an hour.
Our server was very attentive and made excellent food recommendations. The menu was limited but everything tasted great! I had heard about the excellent views, but went after dark and there wasn't much to see! There was also a private party the night we were there (I was alerted to the fact ahead of time), and that made it louder than perhaps a "normal" night. Glad I made reservations and ate there, but will probably try some new restaurants out before going back.
A wonderful setting but waited 15 min for seating even with a reservation. Service was great and food just OK....
Very romantic intimate setting with beautiful views. Food was delicious. There was only 2 waiters for the entire area but ours did a fantastic job of being friendly, quick and make good recommendations. Can’t wait to eat there again some day!
My daughter and I had Thanksgiving dinner here—regular menu—fantastic!!
Terrible Thanksgiving buffet. The food was ice cold. The pies were served in tin plates and were mangled by unruly children. Advertised menu items were absent. The hostess was hostile. A polite request to move away from a large loud table to one of several other open tables was very begrudgingly accommodated. All this for $80 a person! We were robbed. Many other patrons complained as well. The only acceptable response to this wholly unacceptable meal is a refund, an apology and a promise to substantially improve in the future. There is no excuse for this overpriced failure.
Went there for Thanksgiving dinner. Food was cold. They used overhead heat lamps instead of sterno underneath. Cost $300 for 3 people and that did NOT include tip. Awful value for what we received. Very disappointed. I will never return.
The Thanksgiving buffet had a great shrimp and crab bar and salad bar. However, the sides were just warm and had been sitting for several hours and weren't appealing. The pies were okay but the crust stuck to the pie pan. Overall, it was disappointing. Especially when the price was anything but moderately priced.
Service was terrible and the food was cold. None of the heat lamps or hot plates/warmers were turned on so everything was cold. Would highly NOT recommend
Thanksgiving buffet before leaving for home. Amazing experience and delicious food!
Food was not good and not cheap. Service/server actually pretty good. The state of things was, experienced waiter never once asked how our food was--he knew better.
Amazing food, service left something to be desired.
I am very conflicted on my review. Although the food and drinks were good, the service was absolutely TERRIBLE!!!! Our waiter Tim was nowhere to be found at most times. He didn't even take our food order until us being seated for over 40 minutes. We were constantly looking for him and asking other servers to find him. Very disappointing! Then the bill comes, and it came with many questions, as they served the salad we ordered last. It was the last item to hit the table, even after we were eating out entrees. Then I also found it very sneaky to charge us all for the larger pour on our drinks without asking what we wanted. I would never assume to be upcharged without being asked. I was the driver and didn't even finish my glass because it was too much. The worst part about it, is that we were a party of 6 so his gratuity was automatically included. He would have never received that amount otherwise. Nice place, good drinks, but terrible disappointed overall.
Happy Hour varies by day. Food was pricey not 2 $$ as listed. It was our servers first night. Whiskey drinks were amazing.
Not the coziest environment. At one point they said their credit card system was down and asked for cash or offered to send us back 20 floors down to their ATM. Food menu was basic. I had the halibut, my gf had the filet. Both were meh. Honestly, it wasn’t bad but I have no reason to go back.
I have been looking forward to trying Baptiste and Bottle for a long time. It was a special occasion so we thought: why not! Though I made a reservation and the restaurant was mostly empty on arrival, we were sat in the very last table in the back corner as if we were the outcasts of the room. Not only that, but there was a table with three children against the wall--the closest seated table near us--and they were running all around completely ruining the atmosphere (not the restaurants fault but it was pretty apparent why this table was in the back of the room and it was a bummer to be brought back there knowing the chaos taking place). We sat down and no one came over for at least ten minutes making us feel a little unwelcome. We were quickly given water and then sat another fifteen minutes before our server came back over. Not exactly the experience we were hoping for...
That being said, the cocktails were interesting and there was plenty of bourbon/whiskey brands to choose from.
Had to pay cash as their systems were down.
To be honest, most of this review is clouded by the worst service I’ve had in a restaurant in a long time. Went for brunch, sat down and in less than 2 minutes our waitress was at the table, normally a good thing. All she said on this visit: “So, are you ready to order.” No introduction or information, just that. Told her no we’d just sat down. She then left. Didn’t return for over 15 minutes. Ordered. Took another 15 minutes to get a latte and my wife’s juice didn’t show up at all. 20 minutes later the food came and I asked the food porter for her juice. He promptly got it for us. Waitress came back about 20 minutes AFTER we were done with our food (never during our eating it) asking if we wanted anything else, told her no just the check. In the hour and 45 minutes we were here, the waitress showed up 6 times total (including once to ask for the check, bringing the check and after taking 10 minutes to run my card). She probably spoke less than 50 words to us. I nearly walked out after she brought my coffee and not the juice in a 3 second drive-by (no words or acknowledgements of thank-you’s on our end). Food was pretty good. Atmosphere was quite quiet. Will definitely never return.
Great people. Exceptional service. Very nice ambiance with terrific views.
Attentiveness of waiter was excellent and much appreciated. The wait time to get our food was very timely. The view and aesthetic was beautiful and classy. Bottomless mimosas price is one of the best I've experienced and there's a bar of juices and fruit to customize them to your liking.
Food was excellent, ambience was great for an anniversary dinner/night out, and the views were impressive.
Such a bummer that it seems like it has slipped a bit. A group of us had been here before it was truly incredible. Amazing service, amazing food, and great drinks. This time the service was awful. No hello or anything when we got to our table. We hadnt even sat down yet when the server asked for our drink order. When we asked for a minute to get situated, she left in a huff. Later when we only had 3 out of the 4 people at our table, our server asked for our order. We again asked for a minute until our party was complete. Again our waitress left in a huff. We paid for "Bottomless mimosas and bloodies" but were often left with empty glasses for long periods of time. Also the mimosa and bloodies bar is a little gimmicky, more so than the traditional unlimited bloodies. Hopefully it was just a off day for the place but cant say I would recommend it any more.
Brunch food is just okay but service is terrible and will keep me from coming back
Food is mediocre and so is the service. In fact, the service was horrible! Its location on a top floor of a very nice hotel did not really provide any bonus nor value.
Great views. Hidden gem in Chicago
We were very loud and a very big party. They did a great job of taking care of us and enjoy our mini reunion!
We were seated and then ignored for 10+ minutes while two servers argued behind us...so we left
