Delicious! This was a suggested lunch spot for a friend. It was delicious and the location was easy to get to driving.
We very much enjoyed our apps and drinks prior to the Flyers game. Would definitely go again!
The dinner before the Flyers' hockey game was great and, because we had eaten at their restaurant, the management allowed us to leave our car park in the restaurant lot and walk the five minutes to the Stadium. A perfect night of eating and sports.
Honestly A Great Dining Experience 4.8/5
Food was tasty, prompt, warm and decently portioned. We had arrived early and the hostess was nice enough to seat us early which in turn made us eligible for happy hour.
A very clean restaurant with plenty of gender neutral bathrooms. Great soundtrack lightly playing in the background and the lighting was intimate but not too dark. The staff was so nice and the operation of the place seemed seamless. I 100% recommend this place for happy hour and for a regular dinner.
Great job folks!
Friendly service, excellent food, good selection. Advertises as Italian restaurant, but Italian dishes seem to make up a minor portion of the menu. This isn't a complaint as everyone at a party of six was very happy with their choices of appetizers and entrees.
Great place. Food was very good and nice set up with bar area downstairs and more dining upstairs. Calamari appetizer was good. We had the rigatoni bolognese and cauliflower gnocchi and both were very well made. Rice pudding for dessert is very creamy and pudding like. Quick service with Hannah our waitress. Maria the manager made sure we were taken care of. Highlight was Anwar the bartender who made great drinks and great conversation. We will definitely be back.
The food was okay. Not amazing. The atmosphere was unique and aesthetically pleasing. Possibly the best part of the restaurant. Good service, kind servers and bartenders. Parking is a great bonus.
Our first time dining at Bar Amis went well. We did the special, Valentine's Day menu for $85 per couple and $20 extra for a bottle of wine. What a great value. The atmosphere was nice. The food came out very quickly and was tasty. The service was very friendly and unpretentious. The hostess was also very friendly. In fact, all of the staff went out of their way to smile and genuinely make guests feel welcome.
We were late to our reservation due to bad traffic but luckily Bar Amis was considerate and still able to sit us for Valentine’s Day. The food was incredible and we enjoyed the Valentine’s Day menu special. I definitely would dine here again.
Awesome place, love the food and service was great. Can’t wait to go back.
Great fried calamari appetizer!
I have had Chris as my server several times and he continues to impress me. He is very polite & accommodating each time.
I need to avoid Gluten and the menu marked with GF symbols is most helpful.
Chris always double checks the ingredients with the chef, if I have a concern.
It does get loud on Friday / Saturday nights. Whoever, overall an enjoyable experience.
Tonight I took my father to Bar Amis for the first time. I wanted to show him what happened to the old Navy office. He was very impressed with the design and how they retained the heritage of the building. My dad I enjoyed the food. His favorite was the Ricotta Cheese with Figs.
This a great menu with a lot of healthy choices. The grilled avocado is an unusual treat and the salads are huge. The cacio and Pepe pasta was a delicious surprise. The space is cool and it packs up for lunch and then quiets down for the after work crowd.
Pre-Sixers game dinner. Excellent food & service in an interesting building that used to be the Navy Yard Guard House. Nice selection of wine & beers too!
Interesting menu, reasonably priced. Calamari was outstanding, as was the buffalo cauliflower. Definitely worth visiting - a great pre-game spot for sure!
Not great not terrible. We had a variety of orders at our table - my steak was overcooked, took awhile for the server to come back so it was that tough decision of whether I wanted to sit through the rest of the meal with no food at all while the rest of the table ate. I have low blood sugar and was so hungry too. Unsure if we'd give it another shot in the future or not.
Great as usual but missed the Jalapeño pasta! Needs to be back on the menu pronto!
Casual and basic but good
Stopped in at Bar Amis the night before the NFL playoff game. We chose to sit at a bartop in the bar area. Anwar our bartender was excellent! Warm , friendly and quick with the drinks and food. He made me a fantastic martini! Would definitely visit again!
We stopped here for dinner on the way to the airport. I was very impressed! Really glad we found this place as we will be back. The food (we had appetizers and drinks) was creative and delicious. We had buffalo cauliflower, hummus platter and grilled avocado and we are both craving it again. I had a twist on a whiskey sour that was amazing - truly one of the better cocktails in my travels. We think this may be our new stop whenever we are heading into Philly.
Looked up restaurants with a festive atmosphere. Bar Amis popped up. Food was delicious but the festive atmosphere was no where to be found. Disappointed in that.
Absolutely delicious! Everything was cooked to perfection. Enjoyed the atmosphere, the wait staff were great, and the prices weren’t terrible.
Another great evening at Bar Amis before a Sixers game. Great food and better people.
Outstanding service and food was incredible!
We were pleasantly surprised with our experience at Bar Amis. We had never been here and wanted to try something new. We are so happy that we ventured to this end of Broad Street. The service was exceptional. Our waitress was extremely attentive super friendly and explained everything. The food was phenomenal!! Thank you Bar Amis for a tremendous dinner.
College Friends holiday dinner.
Pre concert dinner
Great location. Excellent food and even better people.
Great spot for an employee send off. Loved the food and the service. We will be back!
What a superstar experience!
My sister wanted to have her birthday dinner here because of an unforgettable dish she had on a previous visit.
Well, the pasta dish she wanted was no longer on the menu. I contacted the restaurant prior to the reservation date and they agreed to make it for her! Talk about going above and beyond! We both had a great time and will visit again soon!
I usually love Bar Amis but I barely ate my food this time- my salad with added salmon was soggy and the salmon was barely cooked. Was on a business lunch and wasn't able to eat where I recommended this restaurant to my client.
Wonderful healthy food before we went to the sixers game!!
A group of three of us were seated for a business lunch upstairs at Bar Amis just inside the Phila Navy Yard. While there were many other tables around us talking, it was quiet enough to have a clear conversation without having to speak loudly. That is often underappreciated.
The hot sandwiches and chicken parm were very good, and the service was also very good. Good selection of local beers on tap. I enjoyed everything and would come again for both business and personal occasions. It's not a top, top restaurant in Philadelphia so that's why I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars, but of course I would recommend it to others to go there.
The staff, food, and ambiance were perfect. There was a great selection of vegetarian options with delicious flavors. I would definitely go back.
Bartender was very friendly. Our waiter Joe was excellent. Extremely satisfied with every dish. Will definitely be back again.
First time at venue. Food and drink were tasty. Very convenient to Wells Fargo Arena & stadiums so would absolutely go back for pre-event meal. Much better than xfinity options. Moderately priced but menu was somewhat limited. Free parking at venue.
Great at lunch - not very crowded, food was delicious! Service was wonderful too!
Convenient location if you are doing business at the Navy Yard. It would be nice if they were open on Sundays.
