   So expensive… very lackluster service… went about about half an hour with no one offering a coffee refill or even a water refill… beautifully presented food… beautiful ambience… paid over $50.00 per person sharing the buratta salad and lobster Benedict… and it was fine… not like the most delicious… very disappointing… will not go back.

   Absolutely incredible experience here. The decor is beautiful and the ambience is perfect. Everyone was very nice to us and walked us through the menu. I had the Beef Wellington and it was to die for. Cocktails were fantastic as well. Highly recommend!

   We had a reservation for 8 people. But we were 9. The staff were super friendly in adding 2 more chairs for our comfort despite the space was limited. The service we received was great as well. The waitress was checking if we need anything every few minutes and this was super relieving for me as a host. So, we are super thankful and satisfied overall.

    I had placed a call earlier in the day to change my reservation to add an additional person. Upon my arrival, I was shocked to hear that this change was not made. The hostess automatically assumed that our party was not going to purchase food and we were there just to have some drinks. We waited 30 minutes to be seated at a little table. We ordered our drinks and it took an additional 30 minutes to come. When our drinks came, we noticed that was a mistake with our drinks and the presentation was saddening considering this is not just another restaurant in Montreal. The waitress was very hostile and insistent on the drinks. Our waiter even took the drinks back and said this was unacceptable. This is not my first time coming to Bar George but the service last night was very off and not at all welcoming.

    Everything was perfect, the drinks were very good and the waitress was polite and friendly. My friend and I ordered the fries with the curry sauce and it was simply delicious! Can't wait to go back already

    I celebrated my first birthday in Canada and I choose George bar cause it’s one of the most beautiful and styled place in Montreal , food, drinks , atmosphere and service just amazing !

    Sorry but $70 for truffle gnocchi is ridiculous. The steak was tiny. Maybe 5 Oz at best. Salad was delicious. Dessert was also tiny. Guys the bill was $ 360 with tip and not something i would do again. The servers were gentlemen the ambience very nice and comfortable. Next time it will be drinks only. I think you missed your chance with me.

    Food was great service tentative, if you have a credit card issue ( with their reader) be prepared for a very awkward exchange in regards to billing made a very uncomfortable end to a lovely evening.

    Service was mediocre at best, saying this may even be a compliment. Food was not bad, however, for its price it was nowhere near the level expected. The place is beautiful but I would not recommend. Not worth it at all.

    Bar george was a good experience, however the service was lacking. Our table requested water several times, and the overall vibe of the waiter was impatient and dry, which is unfortunate because we were seated away from the lively bar. Our server did know what he was doing, but it did feel impersonal and arrogant. As the night progressed, and especially after the other couple left (see below) he suddenly became apologetic and expressed empathy. Tbh, I'd see this kind of service at Enfants Terribles, but not here. My beloved and I shares 6 plates and the food was good. In the end, we waited and waited for the dessert order and we noticed the table sitting beside us as well. They decided to cancel their order and get the bill, to which the waiter snarkily asked if it was because of poor service; which, honestly, invited us to ask for the bill and leave as well. Without dessert, our bill came to just under 200. I read reviews before going, some mention the music being too loud, I'd turn it down a tick or two, but I can see how the volume does drown out other conversations, which makes the atmosphere more personal. The music did not match the vibe and decor though. I'd recommend the restaurant to a friend, but as a one-time ordeal. *Sorry, no photos, we enjoy each other's company.

    Félicitations à la brigade de la cuisine et à son extraordinaire chef. J'ai dégusté avec joie le meilleur tartare de boeuf de ma longue vie ... J'ai célébré mon 88ième anniversaire chez vous hier. Le service à la table était chaleureux et impeccable.M on épouse et moi avons définitivement l'intention de refaire la très agréable expérience d'un dîner au Bar George.

    I believe it is pricy depending on what you order but the food is exceptional for the price you pay. It all makes sense why they were rated of the best places to eat at in the city on Montreal. I will be back soon

    Merci beaucoup ! Il s'agissait de mon repas d'anniversaire consommé quelques journées à l'avance et ce, dans le secret. Chut ! Très bon repas donc. La carte des desserts a pris une nouvelle allure. Les liens entre la table régulière et lesdits desserts sont difficiles à faire. J'ai tout de même apprécié le mien et ce, malgré sa petitesse.     Had an absolutely wonderful evening! Such a lovely setting, kind and attentive staff and delicious food. Everything we ordered was amazing but we especially enjoyed the oysters, cured salmon, hamachi crudo, and the baba au rhum flambé. The sommelier’s (Jonathan) wine advice was also perfect. Thanks to everybody for such a special, memorable birthday dinner! Will definitely be back to try the other tempting dishes on the menu that we didn’t have a chance to try.
