Bardea Food & Drink
Every dish was a homer run. The tartare, gnocchi, and octopus were all outstanding. The pastas are fresh and cook perfectly. All the servers are awesome and knowledgeable. I seriously can’t wait to go back.
This was our 5th time eating at Bardea. We have not been there for several months. We went with another couple. It seems as if the portions get smaller each time we go. Our pasta was about 1 cup of pasta cooked. That is unacceptable for the price charged. Also there is no real meals! It is all pieces. There are apps that are priced $18 for some, and then the pasta was like an app as well. Very confusing. We left hungry and had to eat when we came home. Also gluten free items are marked on the menu. The waitress had to go back to the cook and ask what was gluten-free and write it down. The noise level was a 5 of 5 and we could not even talk during dinner at all. We will not be going back. We are foodies and we know good food. I won’t say the quality of the food is bad, but combined with everything else it is just not worth it.
Not a bad place for a drink and some bites. The server was taken back when our group of 4 said we didn't want to share and expected to be served simultaneously like in most restaurants. They tried to comply but didn't quite make it.
Also, we waited 15 minutes before our drink order was taken.
46 ounce steak - bone in ribeye - between bone and fat not sure how many ounces were actual meat but for $117 for the STEAK - way over priced. The meatballs and sauce were lukewarm at best.
Server was great and very helpful.
Happening night time scene and guests. Very nice food menu and the bar doesn't disappoint either.
Very loud for a big group. The food was fantastic but the service was difficult. Food was ordered together but came out at different times - first ordered, last out - tough for a small plate concept. The server was hard to understand and not very attentive to our needs. We were with a group of older family members and felt like no one could talk well and enjoy the dinner. I’d go back on a less busy night but not anytime soon.
Outstanding cocktails, amazing meal. My husband and I shared the bone-in ribeye and we agreed it was probably the best steak we've ever had. The cauliflower side was also incredible. What a great place and so much easier to get to than driving into Philly. Will definitely be back.
Food and service were great. A little noisy.
Everything was fantastic! We can’t wait to go back again
Excellent food and service
Had a lovely lunch and drinks with a friend. Great food and ambiance.
We really enjoyed the service and our server explained the menu clearly. He also offered insightful options. We will definitely be coming back. He should get a raise !!!!!!
This was our second visit to Bardea; we were celebrating two birthdays and our son's all-to-brief visit. A wonderful evening!
Great new addition to Wilmington's food scene. Loud inside, but a fun place with fantastic food and drinks.
Excellent food and service. Best meal on market street
it was my first time at Bardea and everything was great! I would come back again and refer the restaurant to family and friends. Thank you.
Loud, and expensive
Great food, great atmosphere, a little too loud, waiter was good but didn’t fit the style of restaurant.
We loved our evening out. We were surprised at the market price for the fish and beef, but since it was just two of us, we just choice other wonderful small plates/entrees.
Four of us shared lots of small plates and had a wonderful experience. Love this place!
Food was really good. The waitress had to explain how the portions worked and made great recommendations. Only suggestion Would be go with people who are willing to share and try different things.
Outstanding!!!! Make sure to try the mushroom side dish - it was out of this world!!
Great food and service. Place was full, crowd was loud and vibe was exuberant.
Food was excellent. Very lively crowd. Not the right place if you want quiet conversation. Fun place for a nice Friday or Saturday night dinner!
Food was excellent. Service was professional and friendly. However, an otherwise good dining experience was marred by the restaurant’s decision to stuff too many tables into the space available. I spent most of the evening being jostled and touched by passing diners and wait staff, which distracted significantly from my ability to fully enjoy the meal.
Inspirational Mediterranean master pieces. Best food in the region. As good as any Philly restaurant.
Food was outstanding. Our one complaint: Our friends and I ordered the whole red snapper special to split, in addition to three small plates and drinks. We should have asked the price of the fish. When the bill came, the fish alone was $155. Really? Were we being gouged or what? This was our third visit, but we won’t be returning so soon.
We waited about 20 minutes for our reservation. During that time, the host checked in on us twice and apologized for the wait. When we were seated, we were presented with a complimentary pizza and calamari due to the wait. We very much appreciated the gesture. After being seated, our sever Mona took great care of us. We never wanted for anything. Mona was lovely. Food (pizzas, beets, pork belly, calamari, cheese board, and leeks) was delicious.
Made a reservation for 7:15 but the restaurant was so crowded we waited 30 min to get a table. Manager was very accommodating to what had happened and sent us appetizers and check in many times. Very unique place!
Great food and service. Try to come here every time I visit Wilmington.
Great food and service. The dining room is too noisy for my taste so I’ll plan to eat in the bar area during my next visit!
Great service & staff. Food was awesome from start to finish. Great dinner night with friends, would recommend highly to any friend or visitor to Wilmington
Food choices were limited and aside from the Pasta plate was not memorable, as expected from all of the hype.
I had told them it was our 51st anniversary, and we were presented with a menu. Never had this before from a top rated restaurant. Better not doing anything.
The kitchen was off on this date. Our apps took forever to arrive. The mains came soon after. The salad was supposed to have heirloom tomatoes but arrived with cherry tomatoes. Heirlooms would have been worth the price but a it was not a fair sub.
Overall odd experience. This was not our first visit but will likely be our last.
Great octopus... food all around VERY good. A little too loud, though
beautiful restaurant with great food (probably the best in Wilmington) and excellent service but the noise level was too high.
We have eaten here on several occasions and been pleased with the service and food. I made the mistake of ordering the market place ribeye without asking the price.to share with one other member of the party. The only cut available was 40 ounces with the bone in. The steak looked beautiful but was extraordinarily fatty, not just on the exterior throughout . Noted this to server but no reaction other than she would mention it to the chef. Bill arrived and steak charge was over$100. Ridiculously overpriced for a dish that was over a third fat and gristle.
Great date night spot with my love. Recommend reserving a table for two by the window. The street view at dusk is very romantic. Congrats on your first year! We will definitely be back! The food and cocktails were more than expected.
Always excellent! Our 5th time back in 6 months. A go-to favorite in Wilmington. New on the menu: Tuna pastrami. WOW!
Loved this restaurant. Our waiter was amazing and the food was absolutely elevated. I think I found my new favorite spot!
