Very relaxed atmosphere, lovely staff, could do with paying a bit more attention. Food was great and reasonably priced.

Croydon has upgraded itself to Gourmet town these days. Basil & Grape is the one of the best benefit from it.
Wine and food are great, of course, not only that, staffs are friendly yet well manner, have rich knowledge of food and wine. If you are not sure, just ask. They will find out what you want for you.
I will definitely go back.

Good location, excellent platter and wine. Service and organisation could be better. We had booked a table in advance but no table was available and we had to wait. Then we had to wait to order; once we ordered we had to wait ages for food and had to remind the staff. What should have taken an hour or so eventually took over two. They could get many more covers if they speeded things up a bit.
I would, however use the restaurant again as the food and wine were excellent.
Loved it here. Best place in Croydon. Quality wines at reasonable prices. Food was a bit hit and miss. Brushitines were ok, but dry, they forgot the Gorgonzola but did bring it after. Pizza, they forgot the cheese! But it was ok, more vegetables would have helped...... and bonus free cake! What can I say?! Staff were extraordinary friendly and we had a fabulous night. Will be back for sure
The food is absolutely delicious and offers great value for money. The staff are very attentive and the decor of the restaurant really creates a lovely ambience.
Would highly recommend and am definitely going back. If only just to have the Truffle and Parmesan pizza again, which was amazing!!!
