Beauty & Essex - Los Angeles
Was here for a birthday. Was surprised the waiter didn’t know since it was in our reservation, but besides that everything was great. Will definitely come back
Came here for a birthday on a Sunday for brunch the inside is really nice and bright, they have a Dj playing 90’s and hip hop. The waitress and all the staff offered great and friendly service. Food was good. Except the soy tacos were extremely small, they were bites. Shrimp & grits were great. They say shareable portions but portions are so small I don’t see how you can share.
Pails in comparison to the Vegas spot. Food, service and drink selection was poor.
Loved it! Beauty & Essex is always a great evening.
We sat upstairs in a partial booth, appreciated the sweeping chandelier and ambiance. The food was very good (Tuna Poke tacos, Filet steak, Corn ravioli, Salmon), but the menu was about 15% pricier than as shown online. They talk about the portions as being "sharing size" but they were normal. We enjoyed our meal, but felt a bit dismissed by our waitress after waiting a long time for the check.
Celebrated my 31st bday here and loved everything about this place!
Terrible I don’t even know where to start
Host was rude manager was rude
Drinks / food too over hour to get
Took hour to get seated even when I was on time to reservation
I will never come here again !
We had such a gorgeous night here! We were able to sit out on the patio and enjoy our wine and food! Service was excellent! B & E surprised us with a complimentary glass of champagne in celebration of our anniversary! So sweet!
The music is now so loud I couldn't carry on a conversation with my friend. The crowd has gotten younger and not as upscale as it used to be.
Fabulous experience at Beauty and Essex! Coming from Philadelphia we did not know what to expect. The staff was outgoing and guided us through the menu. We loved ordering a bunch of things to try. Everything came out portioned to the number of people at our table. The food was delicious!! All the dishes came out with the perfect combination of flavors. The atmosphere and decor and clientele made the night exciting! We can't wait to go back!
My 83 year old mother and I enjoyed a wonderful Sunday brunch at Beauty & Essex! Highly recommend!!!
From the minute we arrived, we received friendly greetings and warm treatment by the reception.
I’d requested a fairly quiet section as my Mom is a bit hard of hearing. They clearly took that into consideration and we had a lovely table by the window in a quiet corner.
Our server, Gianna, could not have been more lovely. She treated us so special! Despite the place being busy, she was always checking in on us. On the occasion it wasn’t her, another staff member was bringing us food, filling our waters, clearing empty dishes off the table.
Gianna was the best at recommending the dishes and could not have chosen better!
We loved the Grilled Cheese, Smoked bacon & tomato soup dumplings (a must) along with the BEC Sandwich which we shared. Of course, we left room for a decadent dessert, the chocolate pot de crème!
The entire experience was above our expectations.
We highly recommend!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love Beauty & Essex any day of the week but Sunday brunch was super fun! The staff is super attentive and nice.
Fun Sunday brunch. Good music and lively atmosphere. Easy celebrity spotting if you look around. The place itself is starting to look a little run down. They need to remodel a bit.
Our waitress Kim was the best part of this dining experience. Hostesses we’re rude and unprofessional. Food came out cold and there was a 45 minute period of space where nothing was brought to the table. Restaurant was way too loud, we had asked for the volume to be changed and they complied for ten minutes before turning it back up. Honestly worst brunch experience in LA.
Great spot. Going back to try the dinner menu. The Oreo pancakes were amazing!
Our server Cesar (Caesar, sorry!) helped us greatly and he was very sweet. The hostesses were welcoming and the food was just immaculate. Compliments to the chef.
We waited 45 minutes until we got our drinks. We finished our appetizers and the drinks still hadn’t arrived. Then they brought the entrees which we sent back until we could enjoy our drinks. This used to be one of my fave restaurants but now I’m not so sure. Very disappointing.
Excelente menú vegetariano
Muy buen servicio
El Lugar es muy bonito
It was my bday.. thought she'd offer a lil free dessert..no. I asked for refill for diet Pepsi.. she charged me for 2.. 8 bucks for Pepsi. We ordered lobster Mac as a side ..also our entree rib eye ..filet n fries. We 1st got the Mac and she said she won't serve the rest of food until we were done? It's a place for people to go after a club. Wasn't my scene. Super loud.. not maticulately clean.. But .. the waitress was nice. No..I would not recommend 😒
Amazing experience food was delicious and Jonathan G. Made our evening great.
Very knowledgeable about all the food he even helped us pick some of their special drinks & they were good too.
Thanks can’t wait to take other friends.
Visiting LA and this was the first stop. The food was amazing! Staff was very friendly and accommodating!
Service and ambiance were great.
Food was fine. Expected since they call it Beauty & Essex, not Food & Essex.
Dessert wheel was cute but we were not fans of the desserts inside. Stick to other desserts.
Everything was great. The food was awesome and the place was wonderful. But we told the waitress that we had a gift certificate but we couldn’t use it. She probably forgot. hopefully we will be able to use it for next time.
thank you for everything
We came out to celebrate our friends promotion. Brunch was am. Food was delicious and our waitress was very personable and attentive. Will definitely return.
Super fun and sexy with great music. Service was not the best, but i understand what the hospitality industry is going through right now. Food was delicious! The street corn ravioli was so interesting and tasty. The oysters were the best I’ve had in a long time! Overall very great experience.
Amazing food and atmosphere. We definitely loved our experience and it exceeded our expectations.
Food was very delicious. Very packed and noise level was very loud.
The food was delicious and the vibe was nice! Such a pretty place to dine. The only issue we had was when it was time to pay the bill. The server was given $400 cash and a card to pay the $19 balance. The server brought the receipt back and charged the card $119 and kept all $400 as well. When I called her over she acted as if she did nothing wrong and when we continued to insist $400 cash was given, she opens her black folder and pulls out the cash to count it, and sure enough there was $400 there. She asked if we wanted to redo the transaction, but we declined and just asked her to return the $100 cash she was holding onto. Other than this incident, our experience was enjoyable.
Food was good. Service even better. 0 wait time. They cooperated with my friend's birthday surprise! Thank you so much! xx
The service was outstanding! My water glass was never half empty. Food and drinks were great. However it's pricey, be prepared to splurge!
Horrible experience. From food to no air conditioning in the dining hall.
Really loud from the music and the taking from other tables. Couldn’t hear myself think with the noise level. Food was alright was expecting better. Then it was a little stuffy inside. Started off cool then turned warm and humid. Was glad to just eat and leave. Not a place I would go back to.
Wonderful service and vibe :)
Amazing! The food, the service, the drinks. We will definitely come back.
We were seated by the hostess promptly in the main dining room. The tables were situated for maximum occupancy with no social distancing. Additionally, there was a young woman two tables over who was visibly sick and coughing. We asked to be seated outside and the hostesses were very accommodating.
The food was good but overpriced for the portion size and the server was missing in action and slow to fulfill requests. There is an energetic bar scene so if you’re going with kids you should pass on this establishment. Valet cost $12 after validation from the restaurant but prepare to wait.
Perfect fun professional service and great food
Belated Father’s Day brunch
Excellent food with wonderful service, Beauty & Essex made our family birthday celebration extra special!
Loved the food, service and ambience. Just a little on the pricey end.
