We were celebrating my daughter’s 20 th birthday in Bella Maria ,it was well above our expectations : amazing food , lovely staff / thank you

Outstanding pizzas, good selection on the menu. We were there on the last night before lockdown. Hope it’s back to normal soon.

The food was the star of the evening, excellent pizza, garlic bread and a delicious pasta dish. The service was good with staff keen to make the experience enjoyable. Would recommend giving it a try!

Traditional Italian restaurant. Friendly, helpful staff. We enjoyed a midweek meal, while we could. Shared antipasto, pasta or chicken dishes to follow.

Bella Maria now has the look and feel of a restaurant after redecoration. Service and new menu was excellent. Will be going back.

Bella Maria takes you into the Italian Peninsula with their amazing food, relaxing music and by far the most important, service with staff who care and understand the cuisine. Roberto has been our waiter each of the four times we have now dined and the whole of the Bella Maria family do all they can to ensure you have the best experience. The chef popped his head over the counter to ask if everything was ok and the manager went out of his way to provide everything that would make our night special. To us it was a Tuesday quick tea and to Bella Maria it was to ensure we had a lovely evening. Roberto is such a lovely person and has always made us feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble. It would be remiss of me not to mention the food! Jilly is a vegetarian and always amazed at her choices. Pesto pasta and a side salad was full of flavor and the balsamic vinegar topping it off. I had the Lasagne tonight which may sound standard for Italian food and I can promise you this was so nice and served with a lovely salad. The oven cooked potatoes are a fantastic side order and very tasty. The drinks menu is of a high standard and I have only every drank full bodied smooth red wine. Not being a pudding person I have been persuaded on 2 of the 4 occasions now to have one. Tiramisu was the first and delightful and the second was tonight. A dish with a ball of vanilla ice team, a shot of espresso and a shot of amaretto. Pour them both onto the ice ream and then eat/drink. So so nice. Never had anything like it before. And so in short, visit Bella Maria at least once and see how you go, we have only ever had good times and lots of laughter with the team.

Excellent stone baked pizzas in a spacious environment. We shall certainly be visiting again.

My family enjoyed the pizzas. I had tiramisu, delicious.
It felt very safe, we were distanced nicely and only served by one member of staff so feel confident to book again and recommend Bella Maria to others.

Premises clean and modern decor. Place filled up so we didn’t expect prompt service (we are patient and understanding) but staff were abrupt, not friendly and mostly absent which is not acceptable. Couldn’t even catch someone’s eye for ages to ask for a drink as there was nobody near any of the tables. Told to sit down then no menus brought or drinks offered for about 10 mins. Only 1 menu on large table of 4 ppl. Meals came fairly promptly apart from 1 which they forgot and no apology given when it came. Pizzas large and fresh but 1 of 3 was undercooked. Lasagne meaty but tiny - not a full meal (although £4 cheaper than the same offering at The Flowerbowl). Menu expensive - £8.50 for garlic bread!! Kitchen in middle and hard furnishings made it noisy. Hard chairs uncomfortable. 25 mins between plates being cleared and asking if we wanted dessert menu in which no staff available to ask. Covid safety - spacious room and door left open throughout but no other opening windows so not sure about air flow. Some staff wore masks but our waiter had his round chin and leaned right in my face when I was ordering. I was 1 foot away from customer behind me with no screens. Tables pushed up against wall - might be better with customers’ chairs against wall so table acts as barrier so staff don’t have to get so close. We’ve just been on hols eating out twice a day for 10 days so I’m able to compare restaurants - this is worst service we’ve had. The place has potential but management needs to understand there is more to hospitality than just churning food out.

Loved it. We were quickly greeted for drinks and they took our order in good time also. They were pretty busy and overbooked, which is a possible reason as to why we had to wait for a food. It wasn’t ages but still five minutes more than I would’ve liked.

Having been to Sorrento I think these pizzas are the most authentic you will get in Preston. The dough in the pizza base all the best around
