When we arrived we were given 2 menus and told we had to share (party of 6). The printed menus were not the menu that was online and was very limited unless you wanted pizza or appetizers. The waitress told us she only works breakfast so didn’t know any about the dinner menu. As we were finishing dinner she just brought our checks never asked about dessert or drinks. Food was good with large portions but it was disappointing that for NYE the push seemed to be on the pizza.
We booked the restaurant because it was fairly close to our hotel. The service was very good but what made our evening was the entertainment! Gregg Sansone was a wonderful surprise and his repertoire, musicality, and interaction with the diners was top notch. Overall a great evening and would love to re-visit in the summer to take advantage of the lovely patio and view of the river.
Pleasantly surprised. Generous portions. Good food.
I can only give this place a 2 star for these reasons. One, there's NO indication OR signage when approaching the destination. Nothing shows its in the hotel. Two, ambiance and server were the reasons for the 2 stars. Food, well I ordered the meatballs. You get two with plenty of sauce and a grilled pita. First, the pita was underdone leaving it doughy in the middle, second the sauce and balls were luke warm at best. Lastly and most important, for $9 you give me two golf ball sized meatballs? Really? Sad, very sad.
The restaurant itself was beautiful. The outside seating was amazing and they even had live music. However, the food was just okay. It was overly hot, dry, and the chicken was rubbery. The customer service was honestly terrible. We had like 3 different servers, took way to long to get a refill on our water, took forever for anyone to come to the table to drop off the bill, and they weren't even that busy. Noone was sitting inside, and there were maybe 8 tables. No more than a party of 4. They had private conversations in the dining area, and I could tell the servers were annoyed or flustered. The waiters and waitresses were not the problem. Its management. This restaurant is perfect if you're looking to just get a few drinks and hangout with some good spirits. But going for an anniversary dinner or special occasion is not recommended.
We made reservations for Belle Vista. We stayed at the hotel too. We celebrated my wife's 50th birthday. The food and service was perfect.
Everything was terrific- server was friendly and just great- food was excellent. We will return!
The setting was great only issues was our server who was very slow and forgetful.
I didn't realize this was a hotel restaurant when reserving. The menu was very, very limited with only 4 pasta dishes to choose from and the food quality was OK, not great. My martini was awful and the "fix" didn't help. The only good part was we had outside seating view of the river and there was an acoustic guitar player.
Need more vegetarian options
Our waitress, Juana, was excellent
We ate on the outdoor deck. Atmosphere was great with live music. It was a nice night so being outside with the river view was good. Food was tasty and good for the value. I would recommend
Great dining experience overlooking the Niagara River. Had friends visiting so ordered pizza was a great night!
Was there for 40 minutes after having a reservation and not one person came over to ask for our order. Multiple tables sat after us and received service. Would never go back!!! Walked out after telling them my concerns about our wait time and they did not do anything about it so we left.
The view on an outstanding is awesome. Very relaxing. Service good, prices are fair.
Great outdoor patio in summer limited menu. Food only average.
The food was not good. There were six of us and only one person liked their meal. I would not recommend. Live music was nice.
Must have been an off night. Chicken parm burnt and over cooked while pizza was raw and in edible. We were Comped for Pizza
The food was okay, but nothing to write home about. The servers that were present were having personal conversations about how much money they did or did not make, our glasses sat empty for several minutes and the shrimp we ordered was over cooked and bland.
Mediocre food and service. Waitress brought us a different wine than we ordered by first bringing us each a poured glass and then later bringing the bottle that had clearly been open for sometime. It was not opened at our table or newly opened. She pulled it over on us at first and then gave us a “special” on it. Food was nothing spectacular. Location is right on the river with a great view of the bridge.
I got a salad and got violently ill. View was nice but the outdoors was not open; disappointing
We dined on a day where the staff was shorthanded. Although the bar manager was nice he said if we were to eat outside we would have to come in to order and to pick up our food. So we ate inside but wanted to eat outside. He was tentative but rushed.
Nice comfortable restaurant along the river. Waitress was friendly en food was good.
Service was very friendly but a bit scattered. My antipasto appetizer came out at the same time as my pasta entree. The antipasto consisted of cheap cold cuts, banana peppers from a jar, a few strips of roasted red pepper and 2 slices of mozzarella served, all with toast with pesto on it. No sign of the promised artichokes or mixed olives. The pasta with vodka sauce and shrimps was delicious.
Our waitress, Jocelyn was absolutely amazing. She recommended great food choices and made our evening extra special. We want to return simply because of her service!😁
I got there they had no food and couldn’t find my reservation I went there with small children and my fiancée. Worst restaurant ever I wouldn’t recommend it. The man suggested for me to go and find else where to eat my kids in a stormy night was so angry. And when I call they wouldn’t answer.
This spot is so great for the View, Location, The Staff, The Atmosphere, and anything on the menu or behind the bar. They did not disappoint.
Absolutely delicious! Our waitress was very kind and provided great service. We got the pretzel appetizer which was good. Entree was the chicken Parmesan which was also yummy. Used 25% off coupon from the entertainment book which made this a delicious deal! Will be back in the summer to experience the outdoor dining.
We drove from Toronto to spend the day in Niagara Falls and deciding to hop over the border to Bella Vista. We were sat on the patio overlooking the Niagara River and got a cold beer very quick (it was a hot day). Our server was very friendly and prompt. We ordered the wedge salad to share as an appetizer. It was a HUGE fresh salad with crisp lettuce and was actually enough to fill the 2 of us during our lunch. The tables around us ordered the pastas, which again were very large portions, and smelled amazing. We had a great conversation with our waiter who had no issues with keeping a good conversation. He brought my boyfriend a birthday dessert and even put the dessert on the house. Would definitely return.
It was such a great place to eat and sit by the river. The food was excellent and service was great. Friendly atmosphere .
Ordered the Chicken Marcella .. got two small chicken fingers as my Chicken breast for the price VERY disappointed .. Hubby’s order of the sea bass was the same .. small portions for the price. As far as the atmosphere nice place but I am finding that hotel restaurant always seem to have unruly children who are either over tried and will either cry through out dinner or run around. Had three children never let them behave in that manner in a restaurant or ANYWHERE.
Great location, the stuffed pepper appetizer was good, the chicken and fettucine dish had no real flavor and the chicken looked insipid. Great service.
New menu. Service was very slow. Outside was nice.
The salad was good but everything else was either over cooked (pasta) or soggy (pizza). Red sauce tasted jarred.
The location on the water is great. The food however was lacking flavor. The price was good. The dining experience would have been better if there was sound in the background ie music. Also, they have 2 firepits closer to the water but there are spiderwebs all over the seating area and one of them is missing a propane tank. If there was more focus on the customer experience, this place would be great
We chose this restaurant on our vacation because we wanted outside seating and a nicer restaurant to celebrate my daughters birthday. The outside was over booked but they tried to accomidate us anyway which was great. Although we could not stay out there because the live music was so loud we couldnt talk.
The food was okay. Nothing fabulous. It was the service that was bad. Very slow !! We waited a long time for everything. Our drinks, the complimentary bread, and our meals. Maybe it was a busy night. Maybe it was just our waitress.
Four friends and I dined at this establishment tonight after having reservations for several weeks through open table. Luckily, the staff was friendly and accommodating - when they were able to get around to us. However, several tables around us were seated, served, paid their bills and left in the time it took for us to receive ours. We are a patient, kind, and understanding group of women that remained courteous despite our hunger and frustration. It should never take over 30 minutes for a single appetizer, and over an hour for five simple meals to be served to customers. To watch a large table of upper management (all male, seated and served after us) receive platter after platter well before us was even more frustrating. The manager on duty took a percentage off our meal and further explained that they were short-staffed - but I will not be dining with a large group there again any time soon, and frankly, would only return because of the view.
Food was amazing!! The service was horrible! We waited 20min for drinks there were 8 people and when they brought out the breadsticks they only brought 5. Our food came out randomly half the food came first and 15minuyes later the rest of the food came.
A hidden gem by the river.
Enjoyable atmosphere, good food and pleasant staff
Waitress was pleasant but not good at it. 25 mins after being seated was the 1st time she came to the table. Food was mediocre, how do u mess up a Caesar salad? Biggest complaint was the one man band . His music was so loud we were literally shouting at each other to have conversations. A very stressful dinner all around. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant for indoor dining. The patio in summer is very pleasant, and had a great meal outside last year.
