Well worth visiting for a meal or a day out

Great ambience in the middle of the Southern Highlands. A perfect place to have a lunch with the girls in a relaxed country setting.

One of the best eating places. A mouthwatering setting both inside and outside with food to match. Really a unique experience.
Stunning simple robust architecture as a bonus to feast one's eyes on, as well as the food.

Amazing food and great ambiance, lush green winery views as you eat your meals. Each dish ordered was yummy and presented well. The children enjoyed outdoor games in the front garden after lunch.

Service was a bit slow, however very friendly and accommodating. The food was nice and the atmosphere was great. Overall we had a really fun long family lunch.

A beautiful setting with lovely views of the surrounding countryside.. definitely worth the trip . The food range is good and certainly some great flavor combinations to entice the keen foodie. Love this place

I came here for my 21st birthday with my family to do both the wine tasting and the lunch. We were greeted by the front of house who was so kind and warming, I wish I got his name. He instantly made us feel welcome as he sat us down at the table. Debra who did our wine tasting was fabulous and educated us on each wine whilst making it super fun! I had my elderly grandparents with me and they also felt so special. The food was unreal, I would most definitely recommend the pizza or the Crab linguine. We will be back in the winter months and will definitely being our extended family!!

The crab linguini is a standout dish I would come back for time and time again. Lovely venue and fantastic bookshop to browse.

Beautiful place to be, great spot. I love all of it: the decor, scenery, food, wine, atmosphere and books! The food has always been outstanding. The wine is lovely. Just had a small problem with the drinks not being brought for a long time. We had to ask for them after our meals we served. Overall though, the service is very friendly and good.

Nothing negative about our first visit to this Estate. Great location - only a few minutes from Mittagong and Berrima. We loved the place and surrounds. The food was very good and the prices were appropriate. The service was excellent. Will recommend to anyone for any occasion. We will be back.

This restaurant was humming on a Friday @ lunch time. We sat in the new addition that is approximately 5 years old, so not near the library but with an outlook to the vines. Big wooden tables, not particularly clean, staff attentive but not obtrusive. We ordered a shared charcuterie board for entree between 3 of us, then we each ordered different mains; one steak (rare) that was overdone, and sent back to chef, one linguine crab which was delicious and one blue cheese pizza which was generous and tasty. All meals were presented well and the wine list was not large but we found something we liked. Overall good value. The steak was made complimentary and we left happy. Two hour limit on tables which was stated by our waitress at beginning and at end.

COVID restrictions and allocated reservation time slots ensured every was safe and catered for.

Lovely environment and great food. Was a bit crowded and noisy due to rainy day meaning people were inside.

Beautiful setting for a lovely lunch. The food came out super quick and was tasty. We had the lamb pizza, the tomato and stracciatella salad and cheesecake. All very yum.
Service was great.

Great place to visit for a meal. We had kids abs they were accommodating with fast food service of the kids menu. Does get busy and bit loud with bigger groups (wine tastings) so book ahead. Beautiful food and great venue overall. Good for a meal destination place.

Lovely late lunch at the Berkelouw Book Barn and Bendooley Estate restaurant. A minor issue with the wood fired oven made it difficult to order bread without a lengthy delay but this was a small issue which did not detract from our enjoyment of the meal, the location and the ambience. Highly recommend both the restaurant and the Book Barn experience.

We found one of the waitresses abrupt in her manner the soda we ordered did not arrive

I made this reservation on 30 Nov 2020, some 5 weeks ahead of the date and, while we appreciate it is a busy time, my wife and her friend were disappointed at the table provided as it was right near the front door (and hence lots of noise and traffic).

We have dined at Bendooley on many occasions, used your larder for our recent Christmas lunch, stayed at Bendooley cabins plus had our daughter’s wedding with you a few years ago. I would have thought therefore that you would better look after long term supportive customers and, if you don’t already do so, I would suggest your booking system notes the history of your guests so that you may be able to better acknowledge this support with more satisfactory seating.

Notwithstanding the above, the food at Bendooley is always excellent.

An amazing venue and backdrop. The Food and service were faultless, we will definitely be back!

Have been a few times previously and will always come back due to the fantastic food and excellent waitstaff.

Bendooley is a must for anyone visiting the Southern Highlands and who enjoys good food and wine. A beautiful setting amongst the vineyards - and its dog friendly! Love it!

Lovely selection of food, I think being in a group so you can share would be ideal. Lovely setting. Unfortunately the service was poor, whilst the staff were lovely they were not attentive,
we waited quite a long time for a menu and water. I ended up using a tea spoon from my partners coffee to eat dessert as I never received any cutlery and couldn't catch anyone's attention. Perhaps it was just unlucky but given that it's quite upmarket I would expect the service to match the prices.

Lovely environment and surroundings. The bookstore in the restaurant is a clever and quirky idea. The food was quite acceptable but not outstanding. Our waiter was very helpful and kind but unfortunately, the staff at the wine tasting were not so pleasant which detracted from an otherwise lovely afternoon. Separately, the presence of a Tesla charger onsite for our car also added to the selection of this venue

Was extremely manic and had a very poor check in process and no idea about COVID management

Food and service were good once you got in

Only issue was the front desk was left unattended for periods of 10 minutes at times and people were coming in and backing up out the door. Then the lady from the book section went cranky at people for standing in the door way and not social distancing.

Just fabulous as usual . This place has everything- we just love it.
The food is delicious and great for sharing . Staff are always top class .

Beautiful location and great service and food.

Our lunch was very nice indeed. Really enjoyed both the food and the wine. Our table had a lovely view of the grounds.
And whats not to like when you can browse the bookshelves afterwards?

I am recommending Bendooley Estate to all my friends. I have been twice in the last few weeks and will certainly return.

An outstanding place to go for food, wine and BOOKS! The food was sensational and the wine list extensive. The best part was that we could take our dogs also.

The setting is gorgeous. I had the steak which was delicious. It was my sisters birthday and we all had a lovely time at Bendooley Estate. Highly recommended.
