Bennett’s American Cooking, offers prime seafood and steak dishes along with share plates, sandwiches and salads with a focus on freshly prepared and house made plates with 16 items priced at $20 or less.

Our atmosphere features an expansive bar at the heart of the restaurant with an upscale, yet casual, dining experience. Expect attentive service and Bennett’s signature hospitality – an extension of our other restaurant – Bennett’s kitchen•bar•market in Roseville.

Bennett’s American Cooking offers both lunch and dinner from 11:30 daily and serves Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am. Come and experience our hospitality and convivial atmosphere. Enjoy handcrafted cocktails, over 40 wines by the glass, and experience the flavors of our Prime Seafood and Californian inspired contemporary menu.

The ambiance was very quiet, which made it ideal for an intimate evening—perfect for celebrating my husband’s birthday. However, despite noting the special occasion, no acknowledgment or special gesture was made. The food was generally good, though there were a few issues. The shrimp cocktail had a slightly fishy taste, and my husband found the mac & cheese lacking, especially considering the price. Additionally, the first drink was noticeably weaker than the second, which was inconsistent. For these reasons, I might consider dining elsewhere next time.

Our family of five has an amazing dinner. We really enjoyed the pork chop, bbq ribs, fried chicken, empanadas, and more. The bar makes a great Manhattan! We’ll be back.

Visiting from the Dallas area! First timers here. The trio dip was amazing!!! Texans love their chips, salsa, guacamole and queso but the pimento cheese dip instead of queso was so good! Table items we got...chicken tortilla soup, Maui tacos and the French dip. We cleaned our plates....need I say more?!? We will definitely come back next time we're in the area.

It was very obvious that Bennett's is understaffed on Sundays. We had reservations for 5:00 pm and arrived on time. We were seated right away and started our waiting experience. We waited about 10 minutes to order drinks and our dinners. After about 35 minutes our food arrived, some of it was hot, some was cool. Our drinks arrived about five minutes after our food arrived. It was obvious to us that the bar was overwhelmed and there was not enough staff to have been open. They should have closed for the evening until they had enough staff to make it work. We will not be back for some time and if we do, we will definitely look at how much staff is available before we sit down.

Very surprised and disappointed by our dinner at Bennetts. This is one of our go to places but last night was just very substandard. The service, as always, was great and I had a martini which was perfect. But the food was surprisingly bad. I had the Filet. I ordered medium rare and it came out with no pink at all in the middle. Also, it was served with 2 slices of tomato and 4 burned asparagus spears. Why would a Restaurant serve 2 slices of tomato as the side for a filet? My husband had the pork chop which was new to the menu. It had a very sweet sauce on it and the porkchop was served well done. He had a side of mashed potatoes that were nothing special. Hopefully the kitchen was just having a bad night, but we will hesitate to go back based on last nights dinner.

Everything was good. There is a Sunday brunch special that comes with a bottle of sparkling wine for mimosas. I got the heirloom tomato salad which was just 4 (thick) slices of tomato and a dollop of burrata cheese. It was listed as an entree so I expected it to be more substantial. My friend got the veggie quiche which came with a side salad that looked amazing. I'll get that next time!

Delicious brunch - 2 entrees and a bottle of bubbly + juices to make mimosas for $49 was a great deal. And the food was fantastic!

We were fairly large party with a few kids in our party. The food was great. Everyone loved their meals. We come here regularly and the food never disappoints. It’s a great place to bring visitors because I know people will generally enjoy their meal. The service was slow especially given we had small children. I think there’s not much incentive to take care of us since they automatically add the gratuity.We had a great time nonetheless. I think they should just be conscious of the party and the timing, especially when people have young kids it’s important to keep things moving.
