Live music (DJ) made for an "energetic" noise level. The service was excellent, the food was outstanding and very fairly priced.

Really cute restaurant! Service when you walk in is incredible, lots of people engaged to ensure you’re taken care of and seated in a timely manner. Food was delish-everything we tried was incredibly tasty! Get the Brussels sprouts! Salmon and grilled pork chops, along with their sides were perfectly seasoned, cooked and presented! Table service was a bit slower, but we did have a party of 6. And the live music was fun and festive, maybe a bit loud to still have normal conversations. Overall, a wonderful experience with fantastic food!!

Our first time here after seeing a review on Atlanta Eats show. Service was excellent, flavors were spot on! Great menu for the whole crowd including burgers, seafood and vegan options. Great ambiance and cocktail selections

Team Christmas Party

Nate has hired an outstanding GM in Cornelia (a/k/a Coco). Just when you thought the food and service staff couldn’t get any better..,kudos to Nate and his team!

I had high hopes due to following on IG. The experience was not as expected. Tried the black wings out of curious and they weren't very good. Fish was super salty and there was a private party upstairs with extremely loud music. I wanted to like it, but honestly it wasn't a great experience.

I would recommend this new restaurant. Our party stayed longer than expected and the waiter should have come by more frequently to provide more water, or if we needed anything else, is my only improvement. Overall value is great!

From the food to the service, everything was great! I ordered the ribeye steak and my significant other ordered the grilled pork ribeye- both cooked to perfection. I had never tried fried brussel sprouts, and loved them. The cheesecake was quite yummy as well... super cute place!

I was the first customer of the day and yet somehow there was food on the floor. Did no one clean after the dinner crowd the night before? That’s unsanitary. Let’s not even talk about the back entrance which is the only way in from the parking lot. Why must customers walk by bags of trash in the hall? How hard is it to take the trash straight to the dumpster out back? Why let it sit in the hall for a spell? Do NOT even order delivery or pick up from here, as the back entrance is by the kitchen and NO ONE in there was wearing a mask. No masks on anyone! The bartender, the kitchen staff, no one!
Let’s talk about the food. It was ok. The eggs and catfish were EXCESSIVELY salty. The steaks were good. The chicken sandwiches were good. The grits were delicious. The pancakes were so-so. At least the mimosas weren’t disappointing. Worst restaurant experience I have had in Georgia.

Seth was very attentive. Ws started with the Buffalo cauliflower and it was a new experience with cauliflower that we will be doing at home.. I had the ribeye Mid-rare and it was. Wife had rhe branzino and it was perfect. We will be back.

Great atmosphere and service. Drinks were amazing and the food was fantastic! Lots of food for the price! Salmon dip was AMAZING.

I seldom go to restaurants where the food looks like there IG page. The food was freaking amazing, especially there cauliflower Buffalo, and I’m glad they had a option for me as I don’t eat fried food or anything breaded. I had the zucchini spaghetti and it was to die for. I took my friend to celebrate her birthday and already made a reservation to go back on Monday because it was that good.

The food was outstanding. Order the calamari!!!!

Good selection of beers, delicious lychee martinis! Food was tasty and plentiful. We shared a starter and had an entree which was plenty.
Great service . There was live music on Thursday night- 4 different singers who were all decent and not too loud so we could still chat.
I’d definitely recommend Big Oak and would return.

Buffalo cauliflower was too hot. Shrimp and grits very good. Ribs good. Vegetable meldley cooked well. A party upstairs made it too loud to enjoy the space.

It was my wife and I’s first in-person dining experience since the pandemic. We reserved outdoor seating for our anniversary dinner. We saw really good reviews and they offered outdoor seating. We got there early and all of the outdoor tables were available since it recently stopped raining. We shared a house salad for our appetizer. My wife had the NY Strip while I had the salmon. Both were excellent. The service was a little subpar, but the server mentioned that she had tables upstairs as well. Not worried about that since things happen. Plus, they had a musician playing that we could hear outside. We were in no rush. Overall, highly recommend.

We ate outside and the weather was wonderful! The server was very good and kept an eye on our table as we required more drink, etc. This was a business meeting that was successful and the others (3) were not aware of the restaurant.

Some of the best Shrimp and Grits in town! That's my favorite dish there.

The patio seating was comfortable. Drinks are good. And dinner was GREAT! Additionally, Chef and staff were very friendly and accommodating.

We felt incredibly safe going here. Social distancing was being practiced. Meal was great. Staff attentive but not too attentive. Music was very good . Overall a very nice night out - nearly felt 'normal'.

We sat outside. Everything was spaced out nicely and wait staff all had masks on. Many patrons had masks on as well (until eating of course). The food was excellent and our server was great.

This was my second time visiting the restaurant and first time eating. The first time I visited the restaurant I drove about 45 minutes to find out they were closed to get ready for the re-open of in person dining. I called the day before and asked did they take reservations and I was told no, no reservations for brunch as they have limited outdoor seating. She asked what time will I be there and I told her about 11 am. She said great, people tend to come later for brunch you should be good. Not once did she say we are closed tomorrow. It’s been over 7 weeks now that I left a comment on the website and have not received a reply.

For the current review the food and service was excellent. I got the steak and eggs. The steak was cooked to perfection and seasoned. My only other comment is that some type of gravy comes on the side. When I tasted it, it was very cold and runny. I thought to myself that they mused have forgotten something in this gravy. So I asked for another side of gravy. It was warm but tastes the same. Flower and water but no seasoning whatsoever.

I we also had the bottomless mimosas which were great.

Food was good; perhaps a little on the pricey side for what we got. Acoustics are rough. It is very loud. The night we were there the service was attentive at first, but by the end of the meal, the server was ignoring us to the point where I switched from card to cash so I could finally leave.

Lunch menu is limited. Chicken nachos were over cooked....great atmosphere and location.

Server didn't know the beers on tap, the kids menu, the specials....

We found this restaurant searching in OpenTable. It was pretty empty as we were the first customers at 5:00 pm.

My wife had the 16 ounce New York strip which was ordered at medium-rare but prepared to rare. Served with mashed potatoes and horribly burned fried Brussels sprouts. They offered to bring another choice and my wife opted for carrots, which were served as oily and greasy? How do you do that?

I ordered the Hearty Baby Back Ribs Pit Master, Steven Jenks' famous dry rubbed ribs, slow smoked with apple wood until fork tender. Ribs are glazed with a bourbon barbecue sauce and served with coleslaw and fries. Ribs were dry but meat was fall off the bone.

So-so meal, waitress knew it was our first time there and there were no other customers so she wasted the opportunity to inform us of anything on the menu or even win us over. Brought the check and end of the meal and I turned to my wife and laughed,”guess we aren’t having dessert.” She definitely didn’t understand selling.. lol

I hate having to valet park my car as well, which was required. Too many places in this area to try, I don’t think we will be back as vegetables were oily and greasy, ambiance lacked and food was so-so.

Perhaps you will have a better dining experience... if this place survives?

Service was alright. Our server was pleasant but seemed to be in a hurry. The food was disappointing. My steak was under seasoned and luke warm and my partners chicken was overcooked and drowned in soy sauce. Seemed very cheap compared to the price point. Had high hopes for this place but overall it was very subpar.

Food and beverages were excellent, but glad we weren’t in a hurry. We had a 7:30 reservation and were not seated until after 8. Our entrees did not arrive until almost 9. Our server was attentive and kept our drinks refilled, so we had a pleasant time talking to my wife, but on a normal night 2 hours for dinner would have been problematic.

Last minute reservations for Valentine's evening. First time here. I got the rib eye, mashed potatoes and fried brussel sprouts and it was phenomenal! Service was great. Drinks were great. Not noisy. I would definitely go back! Highly recommend!
