The most magical atmosphere, quirky glam, with incredible food. It felt like a real ‘occasion.’

Food was excellent quality. Staff members were polite and attentive without being in your face and the atmosphere was great. A nice mixture of age groups too. We will definitely return.

The food in the past has been excellent, however this time the meal was a little on the small side. I had a burger and the quality of the actual burger was very good the rest of it was ok at best. The biggest issue was the noise level, it was impossible to have a conversation which was very disappointing, the staff seemed to have the music turned up to suite them and not the customers. We attend Bills every year as a bit of a family ritual on Christmas eve combined with a trip over the road to Harveys, next year we will only be going across the road

Such Ambience & Great service with a smile

Haven't been to Bills for a while, got a bit bored with the menu was very surprised at the standard of cooking. Service was also really good despite having to cope with COVID. Only spoilt by an annoying olde couple who thought they could keep changing tables without consulting staff, thought that could have been dealt with quicker by the staff.
Overall really good lunch, well done Bill's. ps bring back the pork chop ....

Booked a pre-Christmas lunch, bit concerned as even though there were screen up everyone seemed really close. One of the waiters was wearing his face mask under his nose not covering it! The food was great, lovely quick service. Wasnt asked to check in on the NHS app?

Very helpful and safe. Confirmed booking by phone. Did temperature check before going in. Table was ready when we arrived. Served quickly and food was lovely. A nice treat for my sons birthday just before we are locked down again. 🥺

There was a table that was really loud and therefore disturbed the ambiance.

Great food and service and felt COVID secure. Service was slightly slow but once ordered the food came out quickly.

We had a delicious meal and the service was very good.

Generally I like Bills but we arrived on a Friday lunchtime to be told that there were no beef burgers. I had a halloumi burger which was tasteless and pappy.

Lovely staff working in very difficult circumstances. Good food, fairly priced. Excellent that you can specify outdoor seating when booking.

Excellent service. Food actually better than the one we usually go to. Full of flavour, perfectly cooked and served with a smile. My partner had the truffle steak and said it was excellent. Our only complaint is the silly tiny glasses that they have to frequently refill. Either give us a pitcher or bigger glasses. My partner has to drive and I don't drink so this matters.

Our Lewes Bill's is so much better now the chairs are upholstered and there are screens and plants , it absorbs the sound wonderfully ! Always avoided Bills in the past if I wanted a chat !!

I went for Breakfast and both my partner and I had eggs well overcooked. Bit disappointed as we ordered poached and it looked hard boiled eggs

Four of us ate outside and with the heaters is was cosy and warm even in the evening - a great night out.

Wonderful Christmas meal with 2 close friends outside. Very covid safe, and we were kept warm with heaters and blankets. Delicious food and festive drinks. Much needed, relaxed evening out. Thank you.

Brilliant service

Disappointed by the beetroot steak good taste but a processed texture .Only came with a few green leaves of salad.

The Sprouts starter was to die for. Great level of service

Lovely staff who always made sure that you had everything you need. Have taken COVID precautions seriously which was refreshing as surprisingly not seen properly everywhere anymore

Breakfast food was terrible value for money they literally couldn't have given me less salmon than they did, the eggs were cold, my friends smoothie bowl was tastless and watery. Not impressed but been here for dinner before and it was lovely, so a little hit and miss.

The food was so quick in coming out that it was Luke warm, I felt rushed, from when we sat down to when we have finished eating it was 30 mins

Great atmosphere and food service excellent! Fish pie was a little dry (more sauce please) but that no way detracted from the overall experience. I would highly recommend Bill’s.

Always great for a date, whether its breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. Never lets me down - the gluten free options are fabulous and I always know that I am in safe hands when I dine there.

Plenty of staff but not focused on customers, so badgered to order a drink immediately, then another staff member almost immediately afterwards did the same thing. Food was left waiting on the counter while they chat, when our drinks came we couldn't understand what they said, (it is difficult with masks) but they were apparently annoyed with us for not understanding and snarled! More than one customer had to go to the till to ask to pay, and we had to wait too long to catch the attention of someone to ask for the bill. The response was not as fast as it could have been.The design of the table is poor with gaps between the boards down which bits of food were lodged. However, the gents was also messy and untidy, so no leadership setting standards . Food excellent. Worst Bill's experience, and we have been to a few. Very sad.

It was just ok - not too bad, not too good. My medium-rare steak was in fact medium, but overall the food was just a bit uninspiring. Sorry!!

The perfect breakfast experience. My father, sister, and I went for a catch-up and it was exactly as you’d expect a Bill’s restaurant to be.

We were seated promptly with a smile, tables were clean and cosy and the food was tasty and local.

My only critique was I could only stay for breakfast! 10/10
