   Great brunch spot! The food was great, the waiting staff were very attentive, food was served in a timely fashion. Atmosphere was nice. Very airy and bright. The table next to us were talking very loudly! That was the only negative.

   It felt more like a decent hotel cafe, rather than a destination for brunch (that is, if you only have to go downstairs for breakfast, it's fine). The food ranged from very good to overcooked, so not everyone in my party had the same food experience. The service was very good. Attentive and helpful.

   Casual spot to catch up with friends. Friendly service with a smile. I had my birthday lunch there yesterday and they offered a free glass of Prosseco, which was thoughtful. I'm back tomorrow for lunch with colleagues lol.

   Food was excellent location was excellent. On my reservations I asked to sit on the one side of the restaurant as per my reservation and the staff advised “my IPad Died” I advised her I had a reservation she then stated again my IPad Died. Charge the IPad

   Food was average for a brunch and the price. Adequate and friendly service. The best part of the restaurant is the windowed area allowing plenty of light to come into the space otherwise a bit chilly in the winter with part of it open towards the entrance on of the hotel.

    Food was delicious and fresh. There is no kids menu but they were very accommodating. Service was fast and very professional, we will definitely be returning. Menu is small but there is something for everyone. Coffee was delicious!

    Friendly service but food was a major disappointment. We specifically went for breakfast which was very bland and tasteless. Not worth the price at all. Their brunch is decent but breakfast is *thumbs down*

    Aside from the servers who were wonderful, I was quite disappointed in our experience. It was SO loud that we could hardly hear each other over lunch. All the surfaces are hard with no linens or soft furnishings to help baffle the sound. Music didn't help either. The salads nicoise were only fair, and were appetizer sized, not lunch. As I said, the servers were very nice and corrected a drink order very quickly.

    The entrees were fair-good quite expensive for the meal served I asked for some bread or rolls with my meals...received 2 slices of toast and charged $3.00 The coffee was not good. WMS

    The atmosphere was really nice for a brunch and our waitress was so nice and very accommodating. I will definitely go back, hopefully next time on the rooftop patio!

    It was so nice, quiet, and relaxing while we were there. It was great! Serving staff were helpful and had a great attitude. Food was good as well. We went for company brunch and a bit of a meeting/planning session. The staff were sensitive to this and allowed us to chat and stay for a while which was amazing. Would definitely return for both personal and work-purposes.

    Went for Sunday brunch and left very disappointed. Food was good, but entirely overpriced. The service, sadly, was terrible. Reso was for The Bistro; we were greeted by a hostess who was very nice and offered us a table in The Civic, presumably because it was less busy -- cool by us. Thank you! We were served coffee by a young waiter who was inexperienced and nervous, but quite pleasant, and we were rooting for him! We never saw him again, though, and the three waitresses in the room used any energy they had to effortfully avoid their tables for comically long stretches. Even eye contact. We had to physically approach them to get anything we needed, including coffee refills (the next table flagged a server down for a top up, but she ran off before my girlfriend could ask for the same -- when we finally got her back for ours, she tired quickly, and I only got ~2/3 of a cup before she just walked away). Water was never refilled. I know it's hard to get experienced, let alone good staff lately, but the collective shrug from servers at The Broadview was a raised middle finger to the rare expense and effort of going out for a meal that would cost $7 for two at home. We are polite, patient, smiling, please-and-thank-you folks, not Chad and Karen out snapping our fingers looking for hand-and-foot dedication. Having previously been a waiter for over a decade, I'm quick to ignore bumps when servers appear to be trying, or they seem to understand that the only reason people would go out of their way to spend $21 each for basic bacon and eggs is *so that they don't have to serve themselves*. We had hoped for better.

    We had a great meal and table, service was excellent and most importantly the food was piping hot! Those potatoes are soooo good. Recommend a mild sauce for the breakfast burrito, the consistency not flavour of hoisin? Thank you!

    We had a good experience here but not fantastic. We made reservations but I always find that when you do that you get the worst table in a dark corner or in a high traffic zone, which we did. Food was good, not fantastic but prices were reasonable. Service was good for the most part but could have been better as well. Servers were reluctant to reach over us so they handed us some pretty hot plates to pass around which is weird. I’d return but maybe after I try other similar places.

    We had a great breakfast at the Bistro, we were served by a particularly friendly server who's name was Avi. The french toast was honestly the best I've tried, hands down the best in Toronto! We will surely be back for more.

    Went for Brunch, the lady serving us was lovely, food was decent however it took 40 minutes for our 2 drinks to arrive and even then I went up to the bar myself and asked where they were; I was handed them to serve myself at the table. We had to pause eating multiple times otherwise we would've finished before the drinks arrived as the food came out really quick. Not sure why this was so slow considering the Bistro was half empty? Overall an OK experience, it's been better on previous visits.

    Horrible service. One waiter for the entire floor. We ordered another round of drinks when our meal came and by the time we finished eating they still weren’t ready. After we finally got our drinks we were never offered another one. We had to get up to ask for our bill, the waiter brought the machine, put through one bill and never came back! Besides the horrible service the food was just okay.

    It's really unfortunate that such a beautiful space got such a subpar restaurant. We went as a group of 4 for brunch when it wasn't busy. Here's the list of issues: - Table: We reserved and were placed at a tight 4-top right at the entrance with our other choice being right by the washroom despite the restaurant being almost empty when we arrived. Diners who walked in got much better tables along the banquette. This was annoying but not really a huge issues - Food: We ordered Shaqksuka as well as fried chicken and waffles. The shakshuka is made with black olives that really overpower the other ingredients which was unfortunate. The poached eggs were undercooked with the whites not properly set. The fried chicken and waffles were underwhelming. The waffle was soggy and the fried chicken thighs were way overcooked and dry. The maple pepper syrup was only maple syrup so that wasn't particularly great. Also, the fresh squeezed orange juice ($8) had to have been the most bitter and sour "oranges". When we mentioned it at the end of the meal (which was the only time we had to provide feedback) we were told that it's the natural variation of oranges, but come on. Don't serve something so sour and out of what your guests are expecting that the juice tastes fizzy. - Service: Our waiter never came to check on us despite the restaurant not really being all that busy even just to refill the water glasses or clear out used cups so we could have table space (which is really needed given the table size). Wouldn't recommend this place. While the venue is nice you can get as good a brunch around the corner at Prohibition or other places around Leslieville.

    Check your bill. To be overcharged for 1 extra drink, I could accept as a genuine mistake. Two extra drinks being charged for a simple 4 person lunch is more suspicious. Quality of food very good but disappointed with this incident which negatively impacted the experience.

    When we arrived it was clear they were unaware of our reservation. They looked around the restaurant wondering where to seat us, and suggested a back corner table when there were clearly other nicer ones available, which we asked for and were seated at. Our reservation was for 10:45, by the time we got there and seated, they informed us brunch service was ending imminently and lunch service wouldn’t be starting until 11:30, so we had to rush our order. Why have reservation times available at 10:45 if it’s not an opportune time for the restaurant or the guest? The server was very rude, as he was trying to rush us, and he literally threw sugar packets on the table to go with our coffees. He also forgot my drink and never returned so I couldn’t ask for it until after we had finished. All that said, the atmosphere is beautiful and the food was delicious and well priced. I would certainly return as I’m sure our server was simply having a bad day, it’s just a shame he let this reflect poorly on The Bistro.

    Our brunch was good overall. Unfortunately the noise level was quite high as mentioned by other reviewers. This could be mitigated by installing sound dampening panels on the ceiling.

    A lovely room but terrible noise level. One table of three young women spoke, laughed and almost screamed so loudly that my guest and I could barely hear each other across the small table. Very nice servers... but no bartender on duty at a bar at lunch time? Strange.
