BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse - Puyallup
This was a great meal. Could have used more greens in the salad.
Thanks from an Army Veteran for a nice meal.
Our waiter did a great job tending to our needs. The temp was was too cold—didn’t see a need for cool air blowing to the point of keeping jackets on.
We love South Hill BJ’s!.. always a great experience.
The only changes I would suggest are brighter lighting over the table and it was VERY chilly.. it felt like a fan was blowing on us.
Uncomfortable to wear your coat while eating.
Went here with my fiancé and brother for a meal and drinks! Our waiter was awesome! It’s a great place for some drinks and food, nothing to fancy or expensive.
Ever since Covid I feel service is suffering, I am giving a LOT of grace because of it! Waiting on refills, boxes, bill seems pretty standard lately. Food was good, prices have become outrageous as well. But again, Grace....Times are difficult.
We will return, just hasn't been top notch
I find that I'm liking BJ's Brewhouse more each time I go. Food is consistently good and the service is top notch!
BJ's is quickly becoming a "go to" for business lunches and meals with friends.
I've also noticed that BJ's is serving a larger menu than other establishments I've visited during our present bout of "2020-ness".
Not out best experience there. Service was horrible and slow. Server talked to her co-workers instead of checking on her tables. Food was very fatty (horrible cuts of meat) and not flavored well. Definitely won’t be going back for a while.
Service was great. I had the cheesesteak which was quite tasty tho could have been warmer. The fries were definitely on the cooler side. My wife and teenager shared an appetizer and the ziti, my youngest got a kids meal. I had a beer with my sandwich and after the recommended 18% tip the bill was almost $100. You can decide for yourself on the value?
Received entree 10 minutes before we received our appetizer. Once appetizer came it was cold. I thought the appetizer is what comes first. Waiter was nice but never came to table to refill beverages. Overall not a great experience.
Very happy with our covid experience. Good time to go. It was quiet. Service and food was good.
Great food. Following all safety rules. Great Service!
Went here for lunch with a friend. I ordered the house salad and Lentil soup. I was moderately okay with my meal, nothing special in other words. Friend ordered the Chicken avacado sandwich with fries. She ate two bites and had a few fries and said was done. Server came around later (slow service) and asked if we wanted boxes because both of our meals were clearly not eaten. We both stated NO. You would think a good waitress would wonder about that and ask if our meal was okay? Bad follow up here. Bad food. Will not return. Believe I felt this way before, should not if given this restaurant another chance.
We went to BJ's to celebrate my mother's birthday with family members (a total of 7 people). Despite calling ahead and leaving clear notes in my Open Table reservations that this was a birthday celebration and needed the two tables to be near each other, they saved two booths in the same row, separated by an entire booth. That left us sitting back-to-back with about 10 feet between us, defeating the entire purpose of our outing. After speaking to the manager, he found two tables that would work for us in a different section of the restaurant.
We ended up waiting 75 minutes past our reservation time for those tables to open up because the restaurant refused to seat us together because of social distancing rules. Meanwhile, we spent that 75 minutes standing together in the waiting area inside the restaurant as a group in close proximity and no one said a word about that. This rigid adherence to unnecessary policies (we've eaten out as the same group of 7 and sat next to each other at several other local restaurants) made what was going to be a nice family birthday celebration into a frustrating and unpleasant experience.
I will say the food and our waitress were AMAZING, though. Once we were seated and eating, the experience was great. The problem was everything leading up to that.
The food is great and the service is always great.
The food wasn’t great, especially for the price. Our table was so dark we could barely see our food.
Great service, great food.Really happy that the restaurant is open. Every time I come in it always consistent in food and service quality
The avocado egg rolls are the bomb! Fish and Chips crispy and good.
Store was very clean. The staff was very pleasant and gracious. I noticed all the staff was wearing gloves and masks. We arrived right after the store was open and sat in the bar. There was one booth or table "intentionally" left empty. At the time we arrived it was quiet and about 25 minutes after arrival the staff turned on the sound system and it was too loud. Otherwise, the service and food were great.
It was excellent and usual. Everything from the hosts and the server to the food was excellent as it normally is. BJ’s has become our family’s favorite restaurant and would highly recommend it to everyone. Thanks BJ’s.
Great service, this restaurant is doing everything right with Covid-19 requirements
we went there for our 25th anniversary dinner.. and it was awful experience. When the hostess lead us to the table, we wanted a small table with no extension table, they told no then show us the HUGE table when its not Deaf friendly for both of us, we feel its overcrowded to our needed to have accessible to our service. There was NO MENU! or any alcohol menu to provide, we had to guess what we would like to have drink. they gave us wrong kind of drink, then second time we asked for 2nd one it was correct one.. The waitress willing not get close to us to show what I show on the menu...Shes way too far way from us. It wasnt friendly at all! Gave us many blank menus,. and scan code doesnt work. We dont use our phone for our date nights. It was frustrating evening I ever had to experience after first time try to go out to eat again. I will not go back again, til its back to old normal.
It was Great.
Manager was amazing! Thanks for making our party work.
Had a great time getting to eat inside BJ’s finally! Everything they did was great just is t the same at 50% capacity though. Food came so quick it threw me off but was delicious! Not complaining at all, it’s just a little different for the time being. Great job BJ’s and glad you’re open.
Met a close friend for dinner and we love BJ’s! Our service was good and the food was good! We stayed and talked a lot and they never rushed us or pushed us out! Overall it was a good meal and we will be back!
We were the first people in at 11:00 yet it took 40 minutes before our food was served. Prices increased too much. $18 for a 9 inch pizza? Get one at MOD for half that price. Last trip to BJ’s for us.
-The restaurant was just opening back up after covid-19. Slower than normal but I think it was due to learning their new procedures required by covid-19.
We had reservations at 5:30 we were not seated in till almost 6 o’clock our meal didn’t come out until 645 and when it did come out it was cold this was not a good experience for us. Very disappointed
Great food and service
Fries were very dry
It isn’t really a reservation like other restaurants. You still end up waiting between 25-45 minutes for a table which is a bit disappointing.
A friend and I went to just get desserts and some drinks! The service was really good our waitress was amazing! We will definitely be back!
First time to this establishment. We were not overly impressed with the dinner menu/prices and what they offered for sides with dinner. About all of the dinners you have no choice of side (they give you a veggie etc) if you want too pay more you can exchange. Baked potatoes were an upgrade? What? That should be a standard choice in my opinion. Same with if you want a dinner salad. So we just ordered off the appetizer menu. Had the calamari that was served cold. I did not even eat but a few bites, fried calamari should not be served cold. However, my husband loved his beef sliders ( we paid 1 more for fries) 4 of them. I think they should come w the small handful of fries when you’re paying 12+ for appetizers. We also had the avacado spring rolls and they were to die for! Totally enjoyed them. But this is a high priced restaurant in comparison to others for what you get. Server Amica Q was nice but not attentive too us . We couldn’t even flag her down for ketchup and she never gave us small plates, we had to eat everything off the plates served with our hands because of this. Not my cup of tea.
Our server was top-notch! Food was just okay, which is an anomaly. We all have an "off day". The appetizers were kinda thrown together haphazardly, and the fries were missing from the tri-tip steak sliders. They came much later. The nachos were left under the broiler (overhead heating device) too long--chips were burnt, cheese overcooked, cold toppings dumped in the center of it all. Thankfully, the main dishes were prepared with more care.
This Brewhouse has a large menu and caters to those who have special diets. This night was a choice for prime rib. The restaurant and bar were crowded, as usual on a Friday. We were early for diner, with our reservation, to attain a good cut of prime rib. We elected for seating on the patio. The seats are uncomfortable and I would not recommend dining outside for that reason. But, the weather was beautiful. Service was slow because of the full house. The meal was everything that was expected; appropriately cooked and flavorful. We eat here often and I do recommend this as Puyallup's best Sports Bar.
We were a party of 8 and one of our party was not delivered her dinner. they had forgotten one salad. We had to stop a waitress, not ours, to request the missing food. Then they made the wrong one and so it was quite a wait until all of our table had all of its food. No one asked if everything was alright with the food, but they did try to make up for it by removing the cost of the salad from the bill and providing her with a free dessert.
We were celebrating a family birthday. The food was outstanding but the service was terrible. However, the manager handled the problems with a very professional approach. We will definitely be going back based on the food and management.
Too expensive for quality of food. Service was great though
The food was good but it took forever to get our meal. We waited a little over an hour to get our food. My meal was not hot but I was so hungry I didn’t want to send it back. The waitress was nice but seamed over whelmed.
My husband says “the best fish and chips he’s ever had”. We really enjoyed our meal. The server was ok. She seemed like she was learning. Didn’t have a lot of answers for us but was trying hard. One of our favorite places to eat.
