Black hide has the best food and makes Moo Moos look like a middle class restaurant. You must try Black Hide to see for yourself.

Took my mother here for her birthday, she was amazed at the ambiance and setting of the restaurant. Food was divine! Can’t go past the steak.

Excellent food, best onion rings and steak I’ve ever had and I didn’t think they could taste that good.

From entering this restaurant to paying the bill, my husband and I were looked after at every turn. The service was attentive but not invasive and friendly and warm. We enjoyed the oysters Kilpatrick and arancini balls for entree and the large tomahawk steak (to share) for mains with onion rings as a side. The steak was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth. The only thing that would be a very minor complaint was I thought the onion rings were a little overdone making them very crispy. However, the husband liked them that way so worked out for him! This is our second outing to this restaurant and we will definitely be back again soon. Thank you to the staff for looking after us and making our night so enjoyable.

Definitely a bit louder than expected, food was great other than the zucchini which tasted like it had been stored or cooked in the same pan as fish - nothing done when this was mentioned.

Fantastic entree’s (scallops, short ribs and calamari) with great flavours and cooked to perfection.

Angus eye fillet was underdone. Requested medium but was clearly rare in the centre and tough for an eye fillet. Dry aged rib fillet had flavour and was spot on medium (as requested) but was tough. I’ve had some great aged beef over the years that could be sliced effortlessly with the blunt end of a butter knife but this definitely wasn’t one of them.

Ambience was great with pleasant decor and setting. Wait staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Menu was simple and easy to follow as it should be for steakhouse dining (you don’t go there for a bowl of spaghetti bolognese).

A pleasant dining experience only let down by the quality of the beef.

This is one fancy steak house, and is worth every dollar spent.
From the French waiter to the outdoor balcony dining for two, it was a night I will never forget. If I didn't know before coming to this restaurant it was moderately expensive I wouldn't have cared after walking through those doors and being greeted with such kind customer service.
My friend had the Crab Arancini Balls and Salmon Special with Zucchini and Cucumber sides, with Rose and Sparkling Water.
I had the Oysters Kilpatrick and Mortan Bay Bugs with Tropical Mocktail and Sparkling Water.
Absolutely stupendous service, also if you join the Star Club you receive 10% off meals and before February there is a voucher in their pack for $50 to use at Black Hide when you spend so much. Our meal after discounts came to about $150.
I will be going back again next time for one of their amzing special steaks I have heard about.

Took my order wrong stuff looked very angry and not polite at all brought out the wrong wine waited until the entrees arrived in our drinks arrived food has dropped in quality will not be returning
