Dinner after work, cold beer and an outstanding Guinness shepherds pie. This was good comfort food. Staying at the nearby Residence Inn and this was easy but also very good. Service was also solid.
Nice spot if you’re looking for food near the city but not in it. Easy to find and there’s parking nearby, but it’s pricey so keep that in mind. The restaurant itself was nice! It’d a great classy step up version of a pub fare menu. Our server was friendly and attentive. They had a nice selection of beers/wines and cocktails. Definitely worth checking out!
Monday nights are 25 cent wings - these are high-quality, too! These wings have lots of meat on them, so you aren’t getting low-grade wings at that price. Service was just OK, but I can imagine that a waiter doesn’t put much effort into a bill that will only be $10.
We had a very enjoyable time here. The food and drinks were great. Our server, Nikki, was a lot of fun and gave us fantastic service.
Awesome experience. Thank you Danielle!!
Only one server working so we had to wait forever for drinks and food
Excellent food, with a beautiful view. Loved the craft brew list and their twists on classic dishes is worth the trip alone. I highly recommend!
The spinach and artichoke rangoons are top notch!!!
Friday night service is slow, ribs were extremely tough, and Cole slaw and potato salad were both soupy. Good beer selection though.
Good younger crowd. Huge interesting beer selection. Didn't have great luck with the mixed drinks. Seemed to be short on experienced wait staff though there were at least two separate birthday parties going on. Food was very good and fresh. Noise level wasn't bad. Nearby parking was reasonable and they may deduct parking from your check if you ask. We didn't ask until after we paid and it was apparently too late at that point. Had a variety of gluten free and vegetarian options, the GF member of our party seemed happy. Big Bruins crowd that appear to have walked over to the Garden for the game.
Had dinner the night before and decided to have brunch.
It was great. Had the breakfast poutine and it was delish. The roast was tender and flavorful along with the gravy. The fries were crisp and the cheese curds were melted too.
My other half had the Charleston omelet. Looked great. Potatoes were cooked perfectly with crispness and seasoning. English muffin looked yummy to eat.
Loved the restaurant. Was walking distance from our hotel. Had the Reuben which was recommended by our server, Alex. It was worth it. My other half had the seafood stew. He said it was one of the best he’s had.
Loved it so much we want back the next day for brunch.
Service was slow, food was tasty. I would go back. Good drink deals and decent prices overall!
The service was the best part of our experience. The food was very good and the portions were generous. We will be back again if we are in the neighborhood.
Love the 25 cent wings on Mondays - the hot honey is amazing and the buffalo and BBQ are great. Can’t beat these prices!
Great food. Host and servers are a little disorganized/spread thin, but overall a better alternative to North End/Downtown options when there is an event at the Garden.
I love blackmoor. Been here four times now and its always awesome.
Burgers are dope, cooked perfectly and they use la frieda beef which is standard must for a good burger for sure. Nachos are a must. Grab the side of jalapeno mac and cheese. The pretzel is great too.... Did i mention they pickle their own jalapeno and chili peppers which are so damn good.
Beer selelction is fantadtic and the 1 litres are so key. The ambience is big but cozy and decor is everything that a great place should have. Two thumbs ☝
The lamb burger was delicious!
Drinks were good, when they finally arrived. Service was beyond slow and waiter was very annoyed that he had a job to do. Margarita was good but watered down because it had sat on the bar top for 20 min before getting to me. And I had to ask more than once to to get it. Not sure I’ll go back....
Best value we have come across in boston
Convenient location on water and near TD garden. Plenty of food choices and very tasty.
Quick, attentive service! Delicious food
We all got different entres. They were all scrumptious!
Flat bread pizza, roast chicken, ribs, fajita bowl!!
All delicious!! We have gone many times and we will go many more!
Our waitress was excellent!
Was disappointed by the food and service. I made a reservation for 1 and my server asked if someone was joining after the host sat me to which I said no and he replied "oh that's sad". It also took 15 minutes from the time I was done eating to get my servers attention to bring the check. The table next to me also sat for about 10 minutes before even being greeted. Food sounded a lot better than it tasted. I ordered the poutine and the fries weren't crispy as if it sat under a heat lamp before being brought out. Just disappointed all around.
Unfortunately we went before the Bruins game #7 of Stanley Cup playoffs- everybody wanted to be served at the same time and go to the game. Manager helped our server as he was slammed, appreciated her help. Food was very good and beer selection is also. I thought an hour and a half was enough time for a casual dinner but we had to hustle out to get to game. Not their fault. Given the circumstances they did OK. Still my favorite spot before Bruins games- maybe not game 7. Constitution Wharf parking lot was full at 6:15...
Decent food and good bar. Service gets a little spotty when they are crowded.
A good spot for pre-event eating and drinking. Friendly atmosphere and the food is a good value; my one complaint would be the fries need to come out of the kitchen hot and not warm.
Great time. Good food. Good overall experience.
Great place to grab a bite before the game!
Amazing food, huge portions, different take on bar grub standards (lamb burger, artichoke wontons).
Every time I come to Charlestown I hit Blackmoor. The service is always attentive and good. Food is good and comes quickly. Rangoon’s and Eggroles are great shareable apps.
Always have an interesting beer menu. Mayflower Cssk ESB was exceptional.
It is always energetic for sure. It is not a romantic spot or for quiet conversation. That’s fine. The crowd is upscale overall.
The food was delicious. The spinach and artichoke rangoons melted in your mouth. The pretzel was good but make sure you eat it while it's hot so it doesn't get hard. The flavors in the fish tacos were amazing. This was a find thanks to a Nift gift even though I bike by every time I cycle to work and we will definitely go back to enjoy more dishes off of the menu.
Nice atmosphere, pleasant staff, food was mostly good but a little hit or miss. The ribs were fantastic, though the side of mac and cheese left a little to be desired.
First time dining at Blackmoor and it was a very positive experience, we will go back. The food was very good, notable was the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and garlic spinach! Very moist and tender chicken and the bowls are good as well, albeit a bit on the dry side, perhaps a extra sauce could be offered on the side. The drinks were also quite good, the hibiscus margarita was delicious and not too sweet. Service was pleasant and efficient. Will go back for more!
The staff were friendly and professional and Sean, our waiter, was excellent.
The food was delicious and the drinks were good. It wasn't busy crowded so it was a nice dinner.
Food was good, we both had the St. Patrick's day specials and they were great.
Good place for a bite before an event at the garden!
Service wasn’t great. Wine glass amounts were rather on the small size while prices were still high.
