BLU On The Water
The service was not good, the place was not durable for eating(outside) was not clearn for setting either, poor customers service.
Best spot in RI
With plenty of appreciated Covid19 protections, ambience was naturally affected. Aside from that, food was tasty and service outstanding. Pricey, but within reasonable range for the waterfront location.
Everything was great except we were in outdoor seating and next to bar where there were no heaters. It was a chilly night.
Went with friends and it was an amazing experience, everything was perfect from the food to the service and ambiance.
Ordered fish tacos. Fish was over cooked and extremely solty. Service average.
Our server was amazing she was so nice and accommodating. Lobster bisque was so good. Overall awesome place.
Very comfortable outdoor dining during Covid. Really liked the high plexiglass between tables. Service was great, not overly attentive but just enough checking in to make sure we were happy with food and did not want anything.
My Wife and I loved it!!!
I felt safe by thereseparation method, food ,and drinks were fantastic. Service was outstanding,
Nice lunch on the water. Lobster roll was ample but could have been warmer. Wait staff was at times hard to locate. As it was not busy, not sure why. Enjoyed the view and Covid precautions are good.
Ambience is very nice. Food was mediocre at best. Fish tacos were over cooked. Calamari disappointing. Crab cakes were fine. All in all, disappointing dining experience and would not recommend sorry to say. Really wanted to like this place.
The food, atmosphere and service were great. The lobster roll was full of claw meat. My niece and I had a great lunch.
It was a beautiful day at Blu. Lunch and drinks were great and the view a always outstanding!
Great food, friendly server, nice atmosphere!
Anniversary dinner, we had a great night here!
Very good. Would eat there again. Fifty character minimum is too many!
Food was delicious, service was very good...the ONLY complaint we had was that we must've had one of the only two tables on the deck that were not separated by plexiglass from the next table...we WERE near the walkway to the kitchen it seemed, so i understand why it was not partitioned off, but the tables should have been spaced farther apart - we felt too close to the table that was seated next to us after we already had our food.
Great to be on the water.
Very safe Covid experience until we were ready to leave. Lots of the “younger” crowd entered without masks; bellies up to the bar and got upset they could not be served in the traditional way. Up to that point nice meal, social distance, felt clean and safe to enjoy. Oh well, these youngins are gonna screw us all.
Great lunch with a bestie! The lobster rolls were excellent, we each got a different one and they were awesome. Quiet time to go, Noon and a little cloudy out but great view of the docks. Waitstaff were wonderful!
I only rated the ambiance a 3 because we were looking forward to a dinner on the water, and we were seated in the covered bar area with a pole in our way, so it was a little disappointing. I was envious of the other outside area on the other side of the restaurant that looked very pretty with fire and no cover- I would suggest asking for that side.
Great restaurant loved the food and enjoyed the beautiful on the water atmosphere. First time for me definitely planning to go back.
I appreciate that our dog is allowed to be with us when we are dinning. Blu made me feel safe to eat there during the pandemic. I don't mind their 1:45 time limit for dinner. The food came out fast and we had plenty time to eat.
Nice place jus don’t like how they limit you to a table with 1hr45mins
Overall a good experience. There were a lot of bees flying around while dining, but that’s no ones fault.
Sat in a nice plexiglass cube right on the water. Nice view of marina. Server was great, had the New England Lobster roll and it was fantastic. My wife had the baked cod and loved it. Beer was large and cold!
Our waitress’s was amazing. There was a ton of food on the plate and the drinks were great as well. Defiantly will be going back mommy daughter day!
Everything was ok. Would love it if you brought back the Brussels sprouts.
I ate at Blu with my husband on Labor Day.
Our first visit & probably our last.
The outside area was very dirty.
People were seated at bar in large groups without masks and without social distancing- no one working there seemed to care. It’s surprising to me that this restaurant hasn’t been fined by now.
The clam cakes did not have a clam to be found.
The Louisiana chicken sandwich was flavorless & the bun was soggy. The Baja fish tacos were cold as were the sweet potato fries. The server did remove this item from the bill.
The view was nice but you can find higher quality restaurants with the same or better view. Service was good. But Overall: a very disappointing dinner.
Lobster salad was to die for! And the fish tacos my date had were extremely tasty!
Outrageous prices for to little food. When the sides are enormous so to hide the amount of the item you really want. Lobster casserole more crackers than lobster. Claws and knuckles only. Three unhappy customers here.
Subpar food at a high cost. The server was just ok. Nothing about this place stands out. Don’t plan on returning.
There was nothing good about the dining experience. Service was slow to even come to us in the first place. Appetizers came out cold. Main dishes 3 out 4 of them were poor quality . I never complain about a price of a meal if it was good, but for what we received for food it was overpriced and awful. Very disappointed , was looking forward to a nice meal sitting on the water but it didn't happen.
They had great atmosphere during covid. Food drinks outstanding. Our waitress and staff were excellent.
We often go to Blu for oysters which never disappoint. However, this visit had a cup of white chowder. It was lukewarm at best and was ridiculously priced. I will say they did a wonderful job with social distancing. There was plexiglass between tables.
The food was fine. We were seated behind the bar next to a fence with no view except of the backs of patrons sitting at the bar. - very disappointing.
The food was very good, however, the option to have the calamari served "rings only" should be entertained, we ended up having a lot on our plate that we could not eat, waste of good squid! Abbi was our server and was amazing, polite, attentive, so accommodating, she is the reason for the 5 stars!
I enjoyed my food at BLU on Monday. However, I was extremely disappointed to see at least 2 servers at different points, remove their masks below their noses and take sips from their drinks in front of customers. They removed their masks when standing at the bar and over the soda "gun"/ice station. This did not make me feel safe at all. Silverware was not brought to our table until we asked twice. To be honest, I would not feel safe going to eat/drink at BLU again during Covid; I have been to other restaurants/bars where I felt MUCH safer and would rather spend my money there.
Had gluten free fish tacos made with mahi - very good, coleslaw gluten free as well.
