Blue Agave Grill is a local, independent, and Colorado grown restaurant! We are full service dishing up contemporary southwestern cuisine with a full bar and over 120 tequilas. Went here because they usually have a big patio on the 16th street mall but this portion of 16th street is torn for construction so no patio. The food was good and the service was good. I may not return here again because we had paid our bill and were going to leave right as a employee comes up to us and says "I hate to be the bearer of bad news but we have a reservation for this table." We had 5:45 reservations and this was at 7:10 we were told this. We were only a party of 5 so not a huge group, there was a big table empty behind us and as we left the restaurant was pretty much empty. We were leaving any way so it was not a big deal but if we were not it would have been a rude interruption to our dining experience. I mean it was not like we had been there for hours and if you knew you had a reservation for that table that section why not put or party of 5 in the main dining area that was almost empty. Again food was good but this alone made me say nope I will not return we have plenty of options to dine on the 16th street mall

Blue Agave saved our Cinco de Mayo when a party ended up being dry for food. Wanting to enjoy some flavorful Mexican food, Blue Agave got us in within an hour on primetime! Unfortunately, I cannot remember our server's name but the gentleman with spiked blonde hair and light eyes was on top of his game! The service we received from him was beyond our expectations. Despite the level of business, our waiter was attentive, charismatic, and white-glove A1 service. Give him a promotion, title, and a raise SERIOUSLY! Can't wait to come back for the Taco Tuesday special!

Blue Agave is one of our favorite area restaurants. The food has fantastic flavor across the menu whether you order the grilled salmon, the top shelf enchiladas or something in between. We've always been pleased. Eating outdoors when the weather's right is great. The ambience inside is good, too. Service and price combine to make it a great value, too.

Such a fun lunch place. The food was excellent and our waiter, Jeff, was FABULOUS! His engaging attitude showed how much he enjoys his job. Jeff was spot on for recommendations on menu choices and patiently answered questions for our party of 8. Go for the food and ask for Jeff as your waiter. You won't regret either choice.

Kind of inconsistent. My chicken taco had bones and grizzle. Enchiladas were great until the last bite that had a bone in it. Vege burrito really nice. Waiter forgot something and blamed it on the kitchen losing the ticket. Rather he admitted the mistake. Really noisy but it was Friday night.

Always a very good experience here at Blue Agave! Coconut shrimp appetizer and tacos entree are excellent! Blue corn enchiladas with chicken were okay, but needed spicing-up a bit. Mango fish tacos were delicious! The side of guacamole was a good portion & tasty. Presidente margaritas were very well-made (& they didn't skimp on the alcohol). Comfy booth seating & not too loud ambience. Server was friendly & efficient. Only downside: upon leaving there were about 5 staff members grouped at reception desk, talking very enthusiastically among themselves... and not one word to us as we walked past and out.

The reason didn’t give 5 star on everything is although there was plenty of seating in the restaurant, and we had made reservations, they tried to put us in a high traffic area right beside the kitchen doors and path to other seating area. Didn’t like that at all.

Classy looking place, if the food had been better it would have been great, but, alas... The lobster mac n cheese was the best part... it was maybe an 8 out of 10. The salsa seemed to be pablano based maybe- not a standard salsa flavor nor a particularly enjoyable one. The chorizo corn dip was very bland- seemed like a can of creamed corn with some rather unimpressive chunks of chorizo. And the tequila lime chicken was all at once bland, burnt tasting and small. Chose the place because it looked cool in the pics we saw online. And it looked cool in person! But for the pricing, the food should have been better. And not just a little better.

We had a table of 8. Food was perfectly timed between apps and entrees. The restaurant was very busy but we never felt rushed. Our server Rachel was attentive and friendly. Thanks again for a great meal!!
