Blue Goose

Local bar restaurant food was good live music was very good. A little overcrowded for the times. The wait staff tried hard to keep everyone in State compliance. But the regulars seem to think they don't have to comply with State rules! Sad part is they will be first to complain after another shutdown.

This place has changed names a few times in the last 15 years. The Owner is hands on. They have live music, Great Drinks, & an excellent Menu with great food. Everyone is friendly, & courteous.

Was our first time here and we will definitely be back! Food was great! Service was great!

Great menu choices, large portions and very tasty food. The service was excellent; our waiter very friendly and attentive. We had a table in the dining room, but the local crowd at the bar was VERY loud so that was quite distracting, but overall it was a good experience and we would definitely return- hopefully when the particularly shrill woman isn’t there.

The Blue Goose is a fine Bar & Grill. The wait staff did their job. The food was fine, and the prices were reasonable in today climate, with the virus.

If we had sat downstairs noise level would have bothered us. But we sat upstairs and it was great

Very pleasant. Because of Covid19 service was outside under tents. A ZZTop tribute band was playing and were excellent, very entertaining. Overall it was a very good time.

Came for brunch on Sunday. Food was very good. Everything cooked amazingly. Portions are perfect. Buyer beware on breakfast pizza...it feeds 2-3 people lol. It was amazing. We will be back loved the jazz music when we were sitting outdoors

This is mostly a bar setting. Outdoor seating was a little tight so we sat inside which was quiet. The food was of bar quality, but decent for the price. Menu had good choices, all different kinds of items. Quality was good. The owner/manager was very friendly and appreciative of our patronage. Our server was extremely nice and attentive. We enjoyed the burrata salad for an appetizer and I had the kale/quinoa burger with fries which was very good. My husband had a friend chicken sandwich which he really liked. Would probably go back since they have live music sometimes.

Plentiful lobster in my lobster roll, tasty Bloody Mary and phenomenal jazz band all created a very pleasurable Sunday afternoon.

The brunch menu was very appealing, the selection was varied, the prices were great and all were satisfied with our selections. The live music was perfect for a Sunday morning. As always, the staff was friendly and professional.

Brian the manager and Anna our server were very polite and attentive. Appetizers came out timely and on point. Gap between apps and dinner was lengthy and NOT worth the wait. All 3 burgers ordered were underdone and the steak wasn’t seasoned at all. Sent burgers back and one came back still undercooked while other was missing toppings. Brian and Anna tried to make things right offering a free entree plus desserts all around which were appreciated (tho crepes were overcooked and horribly assembled- like kitchen had given up). Probably a cool place to go to the bar and have appetizers but can’t recommend going for dinner.

Went on NYE, but sat us st our reserved time, service was a bit slow but with it being a holiday, totally understandable. Food was good but appetizers were brought out sporadically ... dinners all came out together!

Went to Blue Goose on Monday evening. There was a party of 11, and my party of 3 in the dining room. Another table of 4 came in about 20 minutes after we arrived. This place is terribly understaffed. One waitress for both sides of the dining room, with a single bartender tending a VERY LOUD bar area. Took forever to get our drinks. Appetizers came out relatively fast, but then our dinners took close to an hour. The table of 4 got their meals before us, and we got our meals before the table of 11(!). My 81-year-old Dad ordered the linguine with shrimp in clam sauce. When it came to the table, no shrimp and about (no exaggeration) 20 clams in the shell piled on top. We told the waitress who was very apologetic and said that she’d get some shrimp. Well, the shrimp finally arrived when we were done and asking for the check. One woman on the side of the restaurant with the high-top tables kept asking for coffee. The ONE waitress kept telling her she’d be there in a minute. After about 20 minutes of waiting and asking, the woman finally went behind the hostess station and got her own coffee. Not a manager or owner in sight or on-site. Just what appeared to be a staff of 3—not even a table runner or busboy to help the poor waitress. We left her a nice tip because she was really hustling and trying to keep it together, but you could see she was frazzled and frustrated. This place used to be called The Burger Shack, and it was much better. Whoever took the restaurant over and re-branded it Blue Goose has zero idea how to run a restaurant. We will never dine here again, sorry to say since it’s so close to home.

Food was very good service exceptional

We come to the Blue Goose fairly often and always love the music and the ambience. Great burgers and attentive owner and staff.

Atmosphere was excellent, the food was great. The overall experience was great! I will definitely be returning again and again.

Our first home was around the corner and we’ve seen several incarnations of the building. We were so pleased with the clean, spare look. Food and service reeeeealy good. But you need sound tiles, noise absorbers, SOMEthing to facilitate dinner conversation. A bar, yeah, you expect to shout. But a little more quiet on the dining side would be good.

Food is great atmosphere is wonderful. They have a nice area just for dinner and then the bar area is comfortable. They have events and live music which is great when enjoying wonderful food

Had dinner with 4 family members last night at Blue Goose. We wanted to try a place a little away from very busy Main Street on a Saturday night. We think we may have found our favorite new place! The restaurant has that old building charm and the blue paint, blue lights and other blue details are warm and inviting. They have a fairly large bar with high top tables and dining room for regular seating. We were immediately welcomed by the owner and seated immediately even though we we’re early. It was disappointing to see open tables on a Saturday night but I’m hoping that word if mouth will help others try this neighborhood place out! We wanted to try a variety of things and everything was delicious with no complaints from a very fussy crowd. For appetizers we ordered wings, shrimp lollipops, coconut shrimp, Mac and cheese, cheeseburger sliders and biscuits with honey butter. The biscuits were on the special menu and cooked perfectly. They were tender and the honey butter was to die for. Our other favs were the wings, shrimp lollipops that came with a sweet chili sauce. They were large shrimp with a crispy tempura batter. Very tasty. Same for the coconut shrimp. Large, sweet and cooked well. My only small complaint would be with Mac and cheese. I felt it was lacking salt. Others ordered the steak sandwich, the Reuben sandwich and steak 3 ways. This was a ribeye steak that came with 3 different sauces. My husband said it was cooked exactly medium as he requested and was tender. He also liked the round potatoes that came with the meal. I can’t speak to the drinks as all we had was wine and soda but the drink menu is large with a lot of variety. The service was attentive and it was very nice to see the owner checking on us. The prices are reasonable and it’s obvious that there is a good chef putting these dishes together. Give this place a try. You won’t regret it!

Food was wonderful. Started with big pretzel and steamed clams which paired well with our frosty cold beers. Enjoyed stuffed chicken and mahi-mahi entrees and both were perfect. Server and owner were attentive and friendly. Will definitely visit again and recommend to others.

Very noisy. Each dish was brought out to the wrong guest and we had to correct the server. Asked for cheese to be held on salad, but there was cheese on the salad. Someone else got pasta with shrimp, there were hardly any shrimp. Veggie burger was too cheesy and fell apart. Pork potstickers had hardly any filling. Chicken parm was weird. Restaurant was extremely noisy. Oddly, the main contributor to all the noise was one particular waitress. Forgot to give us the "to-go" leftovers until we asked for it as we were walking out.The strangest part was that we tried to pay with 2 credit cards and asked them to split the bill 1/3 + 2/3 on the credit cards. They did not know how to do this or calculate it so we had to specifically tell them how much to charge each credit card. That part was surreal.
