Blue Martini Jazz Cafe
Wonderful romantic evening!
Had a great time. Service was great Jordan was hilarious. The short ribs were amazing. The mood was set the music was okay it would have been nice to hear some brass. I would go back though it was a nice evening !
I love your place and introduced it to 8 friends who had never been. They loved the ambiance and the music. The service was a bit chippy and threw some of them off. I had had the guy before and his style doesn't worry me. One dish (steak) was stone cold as were the veggies. My pasta was medium but I was so hungry I kept it. I feel that the food in the past times I have been there was better than this time. Will still come for the music!
Fantastic atmosphere, great food, and wonderful live music.
The staff are fabulous. Great live music.
Excellent blackened Salmon, cooked to perfection! Service was exemplary. Will go again.
Tuesday’s crowd was very appreciative of the guitar player. Small crowd but warm feeling. Staff very personable.
I am not sure having large party reservations works well with the Jazz Club atmosphere. The large parties do not seem to be interested in the music and are noisy and distracting. Otherwise, Blue Martini is one of our go to places for jazz.
Very good food other than the steak my husband had was extremely tough. My prime rib was amazing! We would definitely go back again and the music is so good.
Really had a good experience at Blue Martini. The food was great with the exception of the meat balls. We enjoyed the music and have recommended food and music to friends. We will be back!
Great Service , Food and Entertainment
We will go again
Was a great time and a great place to celebrate an anniversary!
But, make sure to check your bill as they accidentally charged us for more than we ordered.
We booked a reservation 2-3 weeks earlier and confirmed it twice both in email and text. We got there and the hostess said they’re over booked and they don’t have a table at this time. We offered to sit at the bar until a table opened up. We waited an hour and still no table so we left. Great band! Great music. Horrible service
As someone who goes out often. I loved the live music, the food was delicious for the price point and I appreciate the options. However I had 2 out 3 course come out incorrectly, the first course I didn’t correct due to not wanting to put a damper on the evening regardless of the server noticing the error. The mains were great but dessert came incorrect again and I corrected the food runner. The correct dessert was delivered, thank you! As far as the service goes he started off with full steam ahead, it only went downhill from there. Our table was without water throughout the night without having to mention it a couple times. He was chatting up every single table around us but never engaged with us. Other than the taste of wine and first glass of pour the wine was poured by us the rest of night.
Being a black lgbtq minority I felt very out of place in the environment given. Plenty of old white men staring at me as I walked in and I did not feel comfortable being seated either. The seating is not private and way to close to other guests.
So many things went wrong with our service. They forgot to bring menus, they forgot my main dish, the server was rude when we didn't know there was a charge if you don't eat dinner and only came for drinks. They didn't tell us from the beginning. The quality of food was average, nothing special. And the music was too loud my friends got headache. I wouldn't recommend this place.
Great night. Seating for two was really cramped, but music was excellent, service was great except it was really hard to hear though (but its a jazz club - of course it is). I ordered 1/2 bottle wine, got a full bottle (didn’t say anything. My guest said he wasn’t drinking, but waiter brought him glass and poured him wine - we didn’t say anything - not a big deal. Was dine out vancouver. Supposed to have gorgonzola on my steak - there wasn’t any. Didn’t say anything - likely ran out as the llace was packed solid. It was still amazing. I would absolutely go again but sit closer to stage and not expect to talk much. Highly recommend as long as you talk loud if music is playing so waiter can hear you :)
Great low-key restaurant/bar to enjoy as a couple, girl's night, group of friends/family. Food was a bit over priced, but delicious, live music really picked up the mood and made the night/experience enjoyable.
Friendly staff, nice feel, good venue for music and they bring in good players.
Had a birthday celebration in a small family circle. Enjoyed food, were happy with service, loved music. Total bill was a bit higher than expected but overall no regrets of our choice of place.
The ambiance is great esp while the live music is being played. It was not super busy when we were there. Got great service. Liked the lighting and the sound quality. Some of the food items are great - some are a miss.
I had the best and the worst in the same dinner. The couscous in the lamb shank was surprisingly flavourful and good - I LOVE couscous and am always ready to be disappointed, but this was hands down the best couscous I had (and I had many)
On the other hand, pasta is also a dish I’m passionate about, and the vegetarian pasta were also hands down the worst I ever had - no flavour, completely boring. The desserts were also disappointing, while the appetizers (mushrooms toasts and seafood pastries) were good.
Overall we found the food very inconsistent.
The venue itself is beautiful, we had no issues with service and the music is nice.
Nice ambiance. We were told that we had to order from a set menu and we could only stay for 1.5 hours.
Tried the dine out menu and was really impressed on every front.
Great service great music and great food.
Parking is the challenge.
Went with my wife for the Dine out Vancouver with a set menu. Food was excellent. Caeser salad was amazing. Deserts were delicious and fresh. Waiter was very nice and talkative. Made for a great evening.
Took a friend from out-of-town for their first experience last Thursday. Excellent - we were both impressed! Great ambience with the blue lights; mellow jazz music both piped and live that enhanced, rather than invaded our conversation. Our waiter Carlos was so patient & attentive & fun. Had the 4-course for $40 and great value - I chose the spinach salad, lobster bisque, roasted duck, tiramisu - all good: the duck melted in my mouth, and the tiramisu was exceptional. Had a lovely evening. Highly recommend! -Wendy
Food was fantastic, we went to listen to music that was planned but the singer cancelled due to being sick, although we were disappointed that there was no music we understand.
Lovely experience at Blue Martini! Unfortunately the jazz musician called in sick, so there was no live music, but it was wonderful nonetheless. Great food, atmosphere and fantastic service. Will definitely be going again.
It was amazing in all aspects: service ambience and the food was outstanding!! Loved the jazz music!! Definitely will be back
First time at Blue Martini, Dine Out was on. Food and service very good. Hostess saved us seats at the bar for after dinner to listen to and appreciate the very talented band! Really nice evening. People up dancing!
The appetizers and main dishes were delicious. Deserts were quite at the same level as the rest of the meal, but still good. The restaurant was busy so service was a little slow, but we weren’t in a rush so it wasn’t a big deal. Wish the live music had played for the first seating of dinner, as we were there from 5pm-7:30pm and no live music played. Overall a good experience.
I’m not sure what the noise question was about it’s a Jazz Cafe with Live Music it was Fantastic!!
This was a classy spot with spectacular service and loved the live music. Went for Dineout Vancouver and can't wait to return!
It’s a nice place, the music is great , and the server was awesome. Very squishy between tables though, no room to get up at all, and the food was drinks were really mediocre.
First time time here with my girlfriend and we will definitely be back - our server assured us everything on the menu was delicious, and they were so right. We came for dine out so there were 3 courses including a starter, main course, and dessert - none of which disappointed. There was of course a jazz band playing when we were there, and it really added to the whole experience without being overbearingly loud. An overall superb experience from the Blue Martini, don't forget to try their signature drink the blue martini and they make a wicked Cajun Caesar if that's your thing.
I have come on multiple occasions and this one by far has been one of the best. The service was decent, the food tasted incredible, and the live music of the night hit the mark 100%. This is a must visit type of place!
We celebrated our 20th Anniversary. Perfect!! Taylor James was playing. Awesome night. Thank you Blue Martini for the nice Port you sent to our table. Carlos gave us top notch service. Food was very good. We will be back!
Dine out Vancouver 2020
The only draw back to the entire experience was the unavailability of parking. It took me approx half an hour of driving around to eventually get parking.
Ambiance was excellent! Great live music! @TaylorJames Food spectacular and Carlos, our waiter, was very pleasant and attentive.
