Great service and food
-2 hr wait for service. Sat down at 7:15 had to ask for a drink. Then had to ask for someone to take Oder after an hour. Soup came 30 mins later and main meal another 40 mins later. Left almost 3 hrs later.
Birthday, wonderful experience
Nice, but not great. Both tuna dishes (starter and main course) had too much sauce. Steak was so-so.
Good value with a Groupon otherwise a bit pricey but quality was excellent!
Al little pricey but always good.
The wait staff was very knowledgeable and friendly.
We had apetizers of calamari, Tuna Poke and chopped salads that were all outstanding
For dinnner we had the scallops that were perfectly prepared and the the presentation was lovely
We also had the Scottish Salmon with a vegetable ratatouille substituted for the mashed potatoes and the entire dish was amazing
The manager and the service were excellent! The food was perfect. Yolanda and Brent are the”Best”!
great ambience, great food. good service....what more can I say?
Great experience ! The host, server and Billy, the GM were very welcoming and had incredible service!
My wife and I had our usual very enjoyable, relaxed dinner prior to a Symphony concert that evening. However, there was some confusion about an order of lobster bisque that we had not ordered. (I had ordered clam chowder, which arrived fine, but the lobster bisque appeared at our table several minutes later.) Just an apparent misdirection intended for another table. (There were at least two "assistant servers" from whom we received service that night in addition to our primary foodserver, which may have contributed in part to the confusion.) No problem. However, and I am guilty for not examining more closely our check when it arrived, we were nevertheless billed for the lobster bisque, and I paid the entire amount, not noticing the discrepancy until arriving home. Minor problem, but it was the first time I had experienced such a problem at our numerous visits to Blue Point and other Cohn restaurants.
Great food and service.
We loved the food and ambiance. The waiter and partners were professional and nice we give them a 2 thumbs up. We will be going back.
I had the ahi tuna. Best I’ve ever had!
Incredible service. Great Happy Hour! Dinner was delicious! Very enjoyable evening.
We really wanted to enjoy Blue Point, but a combination of things made it hugely disappointing:
1. The food quality was mediocre, at best, especially given the fairly high price point.
2. No one would follow through on our drink orders, after waiting 10 - 15 minutes a few separate times, we had to continually ask for them to bring them to us.
3. The waiters continually pulled plates out from underneath us before we were done. We’d be mid-bite with food left on our plate & they’d try to take it away. Also, when 3 out of the 4 of us were done eating they started pulling everything off the table extremely sloppily & noisily, reaching in front of everyone & smacking everything together over the table. The last eater felt very rushed & it also really disturbed the rest who were just trying to enjoy the ambiance.
Our visit was extremely unsatisfying & we would not go back.
High prices, small quantities. We split an entree', salad and dessert and we totaled $90.00 total. Little tiny piece of swordfish and it was rather bland. Their lava cake was a 6 out of 10. Go to Roy's if you're really looking to rock a lava cake. Couldn't hear myself think or talk with my spouse it was so loud in there. Probably wont' go again.
Food and service were spot on, what more could you ask for.
Made my Mother’s Day dinner over the top.
Best place to eat at before a concert.
Walking distance to all venues.
We made reservations for what we thought would be a great place to enjoy Mother’s Day as a family...we were sadly mistaken. To begin with our waiter was horrible. We had to ask to order drinks and 30 minutes later we finally got his attention so that we could order our lunch. After waiting over an hour for our food the manager came to apologize for the delay. About 10 minutes later our food (with the exception of 1 persons meal) came out. My food was cold. Not just luke warm but COLD. I asked to speak with the same manager and he said he would work on getting me a new dish ASAP and he did. This time the order came out colder than the first one...I didn’t even know that could be possible. I informed them once again how cold my food was and they offered to make me another one. I declined since at that point the rest of our party was almost done with their lunch. They did apologize many times, which I appreciate, and offered us dessert. They brought out the dessert menu, we all picked what we wanted and when they came back to take our order the waiter then informed us that they had made a mistake and given us the wrong dessert menu. Apparently there was a different dessert menu with just 3 choices on it for the Mother’s Day lunch. Once again, disappointed. After our dessert they brought us our bill; however, we had asked at the beginning of the meal for it to be split between the 2 families and of course that wasn’t done either. After spending almost 3 hours there for lunch we decided not to worry about asking them to split it because honestly we were all tired of being there. So much for an enjoyable Mother’s Day lunch with our family. I will never step foot back in this restaurant and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone I know.
Amazing food. Service was not great. Over 5 minutes before our drink order was taken. The bread came at the end of the meal.
This service was good but the food wasn’t. The temperature of the soup was off and the steak was awful
Food was not great , we are locals , service was awful .
Restaurant seemed run down and “some trashy clientele, despite their appeal to dine dining “
Both dinners where not prepared. MR steaks well done redone. Lobster tail cold, redone but undercooked... third time we just accepted. No bread on the table till dinner arrived. They did comp meals but not sure I would go back.
We had a very positive experience at Blue Point. The evening fish special, the oysters, and the salad we ordered were delicious. A good choice if you’re in the area.
This was probably my 10th time at Blue Point Coastal. I found the food on par with previous visits which is why I returned. Unfortunately, the service i had grown to except there was not the same. Our table was left waiting for initial service and staff interaction throughout the evening. My take was they were understaffed. For $$$$ I expected much better.
Food and service were both excellent - Jonathan our server was wonderful!
The food was really outstanding. My friend and I each ordered the clam chowder. It’s over the top fantastic. He order3d scallops dish and I had Swordfish. Great, imaginative ingredients and presentation.
The atmosphere is good and the service was fine, but the food was just ok. I ordered risotto and it was soupy and the rice a bit underdone. Some of my shrimp had tails on and some didn’t. The desserts (apple crisp and panna cotta) were fair. For the price I was a little disappointed
Todo muy buen, lo único malo fue que no tenían pan
Delicious raw fish tower!
Our meal was beautifully prepared and delicious. It's a bit loud for conversation, but that seems to be the norm. Out waiter, Aaron, was terrific: so was the assistant, Amanda. It is PRICEY.
Service was great. The food was ok. The Crispy Spanish Octopus wasn't crispy. The scallops were chewy. Definately not worth the money.
Great seafood! Our server had a great sense of humor. The manager came and talked to us for awhile and we had great conversation. Lobster bisque was rich and smooth. The bread was fresh from the oven. We have the seafood royale tower and it was the perfect size for two. Great date spot.
I ate 3 dozen oysters during happy hour the first night. Came back the next evening with coworkers and had the grouper. Everything was exceptional and the happy hour had awesome offerings. Great HH red wine for sure and you can’t beat $1 oysters.
All the employees had such good manners. Almost made me wonder if they went to special training for that. Truly a pleasant evening.
Service was great but the entree was bland did not have much flavor. I would not recommend this place to anyone based on the food. On the plus side the drinks and clam chowder were decent.
With friends, both of us out of towners, looking for good seafood. Very pleased! Loved the apple dessert and the lobster bisque was wonderful. Pleasantly surprised with the delicious amuse bouche. Our wait staff was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Would return to Blue Point again! Lobster special had by our friend was outstanding according to him.
