Jack was an attentive and friendly server! Brunch was great as usual!

The seafood was done perfectly and the service was outstanding. We are lucky to have a restaurant like this in our area, we will be going there again.

We visited on our anniversary and it was your last night open before the COVID shutdown. The experience was great! Food, drinks, ambiance and service were wonderful! I’m so sorry that the governor has shut down so many businesses including yours. Hang in there and hopefully we can join you again very soon!!

Delicious crab cakes and clam chowder, but neither was hot when they got to me. It was a delicious meal in a lovely setting. The boat club worked with me on seating us away from others as my guest is being treated for cancer and needed some safety from others with covid-19. Thank you!

The food (whitefish) tasted horrible and was mushy. The Chicken Alfredo seemed to use chicken strips I can buy in the grocery store, these were not from an actual chicken breast cooked in the restaurant. For a Cajun dish it was very blah.

My husband picked this place for my birthday dinner and it was gorgeous and romantic. Very quiet and overlooking Lake Superior. The food was absolutely amazing and the presentation was beautiful too. Service was fantastic as well. Highly recommend. We will be back to try their brunch menu!

Even though it was raining, we were so happy to have such a wonderful view of Lake Superior! The food was superior like the lake: we enjoyed the walleye sandwich and the lobster Bloody Mary is a must! I will for sure be coming back, perhaps in the summer when the view is better!

We had a date night and the food was fabulous! Our table wasn't quite ready at our reservation time, but we were able to sit at the bar. I had the scallops which were delicious. My boyfriend had the Cajun Chicken Alfredo which was a quite a bit too spicy for him. The waitress and chef were able to whip up some more alfredo sauce to tone it down so the service was excellent as well!

Had breakfast and a dinner at the Boathouse, both were excellent. Eggs Benedict and Avocado Toast for breakfast and we split a filet and scallop side for dinner. Chris the bartender made terrific dry martinis with blue cheese olives. Will definitely visit again when in Duluth. NO disasters here !

Beautiful setting of Lake Superior. Enjoyed crab and artichoke dip appetizer. Nice presentation on the Sea Scallop entree. Thomas our waiter was outstanding.

We had a wonderful birthday meal on Sunday. The view is amazing and the food was delicious. The Boat Club has great ambiance and decor and the service was spectacular!

Was the food at Boat Club good? I wish I had the opportunity to find out. After a long excursion around the North Shore and Duluth, my partner and I were looking forward to a quiet and relaxed evening filled with the high caliber of food that the reviews of Boat Club had prepared us for. This was the reason we made reservations at the particular restaurant a week prior to our trip. This, and the fact that the restaurant is located along the water’s edge which provides views for diners. However, upon our arrival 15 minutes prior to our reserved time at the restaurant, we were informed that the only table available was located in the actual entry of the restaurant a mere 4 feet at most from the hostess stand. This despite the fact that I had specifically request our seating be in the dining room rather than the entry/bar area. What is the point of dining at a lakeside restaurant if the lake is not visible? Add to that that the selected table would mean that we would have to endure the hosts performing their duties for the 1-2 hours of our dinner, I requested to be seated literally anywhere else. I expect to be compensated for my time while sitting that close to the hostess stand, not paying for the luxury. After first being informed that no other tables were available until 2 hours after our reserved time, we were then handed off to a different host who, to his credit, tried to accommodate us and stated that there would be a high top available in 30 minutes. We retrieved beverages from the bar to await our upcoming table. While waiting, we were then informed that the soonest that we could be seated was not for another hour. Frustrated with the lack of decorum and the blatant disregard for our original reservation request of the dining room. We chose to leave the restaurant and return to Minneapolis where this type of business practices would not be tolerated. Entirely disappointed in the experience and needless to say we will not be returning to the Boat Club.

Our dinner was perfect! We just got engaged that evening right outside by the water and had the most delicious celebratory dinner following the most memorable night! Thank you for everything and we will be coming back for many anniversaries in the future!

Our server Ashley was amazing. My wife has celiac disease and Ashley was very understanding. She wrote celiac on the order ticket so the kitchen would know that her food had to be prepared differently. She also told us what food was able to be made gluten free.

The food was incredible. My steak was cooked to perfection, and the desserts we had were also well worth it.

Anyone staying in Duluth should go to The Boat Club.

Absolutely everything from the drinks to popovers was top notch! Service was excellent and the entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. This was our first trip to the boat club....we will be back!’ Keep up the great work

Second visit was much like the first. Service was subpar. My steak dinner was average. My husband's sea food was all over cooked.

A great setting overlooking the lake. We went for brunch and it was a very diverse menu and excellent food and service.

We stayed at Fitger’s for my birthday weekend with my daughter and son in law. Everything was delicious. I had the smoked butternut squash soup and the Lake Superior trout. It was unbelievable!!! Great service. Great food.

Great meal

Awesome food and view. We sat outside on the boardwalk over looking the lake. It was perfect and a train even came through while we were there.

It was a plain environment with minimal decor and very clean.
Food was good. Had the seafood pasta. Not as flavorful as I was expecting. Soup was good but again very little flavor and just barely warm.
Popovers were good, served cold and missed the mark as compared to a warm popovers.
Staff was great, very friendly and welcoming.

This was our second time coming here. First time was for an anniversary dinner, this time to celebrate my birthday. Once again didn’t disappoint! Amazing food and great service

It started out with the host seating us at a fabulous table with a beautiful view. The waiter was super friendly and super concerned for our needs. The food was simply outstanding!

The cut of steak was fantastic, but all of our food (excepting the salad) was so over-salted that it killed the taste a bit. Our server, Dennis, was fabulous and accommodating to our allergy needs (including quickly correcting an error, without annoyance & with apologies). Our main course came out only a few mins after the appetizer/salads, which was disappointing. Noise level was reasonable for a Friday night (I’m sure the social distancing tabling helped), until one daft older lady entered and proceeded to hold a ten-minute long conversation - loudly - on speakerphone.

Overall, still a lovely experience and tasty meal.

The quality of food vs price is an absolute joke.
