Boiler House Restaurant at The Hydro Majestic Blue Mountains
Servings were very generous and the food was perfect. However an unseasonably cold day, it was also a little cold for comfort inside.
I’ve been to the boiler house previously when they had simple Battered fish and chips on the menu. It was a bit more up style than a pub, but still resembled some pub foods.
We went there on the weekend, the entrees were great - massive servings.
I got the pork cutlet, it was so dry the knife I had could barely cut through it.
My husband had beef cheek, which was so juicy, but the gravy covering was just too much.
Service was great, location is great.
Price has gone up too. Lunchs are around $35.
I have no problem spending money on good food, we went to the Hydro that night and spent about $500. But honestly I would never go back to the boiler house because of that experience, and I would encourage others not too as well - at least until they get some good basics back on the menu, and do them well.
Excellent service, outstanding view and terrific wine and great food!
My husband and I took his Sister to lunch for her 70th Birthday! It was a Saturday! The weather was perfect for our seat at the window (which was asked for at the time of booking) the food was delicious. We chose the package of meal and dessert ! Our compliments go to the chef!
Was a very hot day - no air conditioning instead doors open, windy and noisy fans blowing on us. Left sweaty.
Food and service were very average.
Overall an underwhelming experience for such a beautiful location.
You need to get an air conditioner - urgently. Everything else was top rate, but without the temperature control it is substandard.
Outstanding food with a great value for money. Truly a relaxing and fun dining experience
We has a smoky chilly day to enjoy the mountains so didn't see the view but the boiler house was perfect. Cute decor which has been tastefully updated. Everyone loved there food and the staff were delightful. Perfect day trip from Sydney.
Exceptional restaurant with great food, excellent service and a breathtaking view
A delightful restaurant perched on the ridge overlooking valleys. Even though bushfires were active the lunch experience was safe and very satisfying.
Good value for sharing a 3 course meal with my partner.
One hint, it would be good to know when booking that there was a bit of a hurry to leave due to a private early evening function
We had lunch on a Saturday. The venue wasn’t too busy (probably because of the bushfires). The food was great, the service excellent. The only downside was the restaurant was too hot. It was a hot day - but there was no air conditioning felt where we were sitting and we were all dripping by the time we left.
Always beautiful and fantastic services
Amazing food and service! We didn’t have to wait long at all for our food and when it came out it was delicious! Great cocktails too!
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at The Boiler House and service was very good
Friendly and helpful staff. Food was full of flavour. Enjoyed my meal tremendous ly. Will be back.
We had the two course meal for $49 mid week and found it to be great value. The menu was comprehensive and the meals delicious and generous servings. Highly recommend this restaurant with a view. Reasonably priced drinks as well. Waiter was very friendly and attentive. Take the drive you won’t be disappointed.
Fantastic service and food as per usual! Could not flaw the staff or balance of flavours in each dish. Cannot wait to come back!
When arrived, I had to wait until two employees stop talking to each other. Then my name was not found on the system. I was asked were I want to sit, even so I had it requested online. The waiter (Philippine man) outstanding service. Drinks came within one minute. Ordered food (3 people, one fish and two pork cutlets) did not come together. Sea food was good. Crumbed pork cutlets were old, dry and one tasted off. We were asked if we ordered desert online? Why was I asked online for a special reason, visiting you? PS It was my birthday. Had a lovely family catch up, the only thing that spoilt the whole experience was the flys and blow flys, if you can get rid of them, it would have been wonderful.
Food was amazing , service and staff excellent and loved the view
Beautiful setting, great service. We asked for a table with a view and we had a great location over looking the valley.
Great foods and good service! Just that a little overpowering with the garlic in the foods. Even thought we are garlic lovers still think that is a bit too much!
The positive things to mention are the location, and the quality of the food, both very good.
Food quantity on each course more than sufficient, would have been happier with less. Two courses sufficient.
Only negetive was the backgroumd noise from the general conversation was a bit loud.
Overall though we enjoyed our experience eating at the Boiler House.
Great venue for a friendly catch up with old friends for Saturday lunch!
Friendly wait service and delicious food served in a warm and cosy environment with a scenic outlook.
Great position overlooking valley, menu choices ok, but nothing special. Difficult to communicate with service staff due to language issues, got wrong drink and had to point to meal choice on menu.
My wife and I visited the Boiler House for her birthday lunch with our 4 y/o son. The atmosphere and venue is wondeful (amazing views), but the atmosphere/volume in the venue was too loud for our 4 y/o who became a bit overwhelmed. Fortunately, the venue allowed us to eat outside (at our request) and brought all our food/drinks and cutlery outside for us.
The food was wonderful with meal sizes quite a degree larger than expected (a pizza could safely feed 2). meal prices were not cheap but appropriate for the quality and portion size.
I would happily return to the venue due to the food, views/atmosphere and service.
Most definitely recommend the Boiler House...excellent food and service. Will definitely be returning in the future.
Great service great food great location 10/10
Look forward to returning
Great place. Lovely views. Food was amazing. Worth the money that you paid for. Fantastic service.
Fantastic food and service. A beautifull view, we’ll be back again.
Great place for a relaxed long lunch overlooking the fabulous valley.
Just an outstanding place. Absolutely worth the visit. Food was fantastic.
Lovely service and meal even though it was super busy. Would go back again for sure.
Excellent two-course lunch with generous portions. Very good service and amazing views across the
valley. Very cosy and warm.
Lovely views, food was really well done, worth the money for a special occasion, the only down point might be that the chairs are not the most comfortable, relaxed atmosphere
We had a lovely girls lunch at the boiler house, food and service was good. The only thing was it was so noisy it was a bit hard to chat. Also it was a lovely day and when the sun came around it was very hot coming through the glass. Perhaps an awning on the outside of the building would help.
Great staff and service .
The food was outstanding, the view spectacular. We particularly enjoyed not being rushed through our meal.
Amazing service, wonderful view and the best food we have had for a very long time. We’ll be back for sure.
Excellent food, great service. Highly recommended
We were very pleased that our request for a window seat was granted. The wait staff and service was very friendly and attentive. The salads were delicious, however both the pizzas we ordered had extremely soggy (almost wet) bases and were disappointing. The Aperol Spritz was the best we'd ever had.
