Welcome to Bordeaux!
We are a modern Aegean Tapas + Bar restaurant in Heart of Roscoe Village. Showcasing some on the best wines from not only France, but also around Europa. Pair our wines with our carefully crafted small plates or entrees. Chef Ezgi Bozdas (formerly of Mandolin) offers plates to share, prepared over stone fire. Besides a beautifully decorated dining room, we Host your next special event at Bordeaux. Corporate, Holiday Parties, Birthday's, Rehearsal Dinners, Fundraiser and all other celebrations welcome.     The food was very, very salty. We enjoyed the outdoor pianist and sitting under a tree. I would not go back, though. The concept also seems confused—one side is Bordeaux and the other is Turquoise, but it’s all the same menu and other than a few wines from Bordeaux, there’s nothing French about it. The menu is printed on thick plastic that you can’t turn, so that’s another misstep. I’d put that it was our wedding anniversary in the reservation, but that didn’t generate anything from the staff. We left to go elsewhere for dessert.

    I don't understand the concept of a french restaurant inside of a mediteranean one. I came to Bordeaux for French food, but the Bordeaux "side" was not open. The menus are combined, nbut it's really more mediteranian than anything. Ambiance was very plain, not as fancy as it looked online. Food was very bland. Service was good, but I won't be back.

    We were really looking forward to a French MEAL. This was not that. There was basically a small plate menu that didn't meet my expectations at all! Very disappointing. All that said, we ended up eating from the Turkish/Mediterranean menu and the food was excellent. At first, the service was slow but then they got their stuff together and service was excellent the remainder of the evening. Had I gone for the Turkish restaurant, I would have given five stars. Because of the confusion and waiting 10 minutes to have someone come to our table at first, I gave four stars.

    Booked a table for 11pm on open table; called the day I made reservations that food is still served at that time, they said it was. Called the day of, and they say they close the kitchen at 10pm.

    Our dinner was great, service was exceptional, and very interesting choices of food on the menu. The only problem was the noise level but that seems to be a problem almost everywhere.

    This is a Turkish restaurant, sharing a space with Turquoise (a Turkish restaurant) - they even share the Turquoise menu and not the menu on their website. The food was good but nothing close to what we wanted or expected.

    We started by ordering a bottle of wine and a flat bread before ordering our entrees. After 30 minutes, we had not received our flatbread. The wait staff indicated it would be a couple minutes. 10 minutes later, a manager told us it would be right out and gave an excuse of the oven being down. Another 10 minutes went by and we were told a different excuse by a new manager, which was the tickets got mixed up. By this point we had cancelled our entrees as we were upset and requested the bill. The flatbread FINALLY arrived after 55 minutes. The restaurant comped the flatbread and still charged full price for the bottle of wine, of course choosing the cheapest way to try to save face. Multiple tables around us were seated after us, did not order a full bottle, and were done eating before we were even spoken to by a manager. The communication was poor and our experience suffered because of it. The worst part is the flatbread was exceptional but the entire experience ruined our night. We left hungry and overpaid for a bottle of wine. If there truly was an issue, I would’ve expected the communication earlier and the restaurant asking if we wanted our entrees instead.

    I was a little disappointed when I made a reservation at Bordeaux to learn that the two restaurants, both owned by Turquoise, are really one. I thought before the Pandemic that Bordeaux was a French restaurant, while Turquoise is Middle Eastern. While I understand the realities of the Pandemic, don't be fooled as I was into thinking you are going to a French restaurant when in fact the menu is one and the same: Middle Eastern. There is no French food here. Oh, and the rat that graced the sidewalk mid-meal did not entice me either!

    My party was surprised to find that this is no longer a French bistro, but now serves Turkish fare. Someone needs to change the menu on their website, I'd say. No matter, we stayed. The food was good (we had fish selections), though nothing special. The all-male wait staff was not terribly dependable and clearly do this job as a sideline....our waiter consistently forgot when someone would request another glass of wine, for example. Then halfway through dinner someone on the piano began pounding out tunes, not very well, and created a din so intense that conversation occurred through yelling across the table. The experience was "okay", but I really don't see any reason to return here.

    We did not end up eating at the restaurant, as we waited 20 minutes after we were sat for anyone to come help us. The server arrived and asked if we were ready to order, when we had not received a food menu or even received water at the table. He disappeared without providing a food menu, and we left 10 minutes later, just as a busboy appeared with water for us. We informed the busboy that we were leaving because we had not been helped.

    The staff is very friendly and accommodating! The food is delicious, with the Adana kabab being our favorite dish. We have been to Turqouise many times, but never sat on the Bordeaux side. It's a calming space with a nice ambiance.

    We weren’t served until 30 mins after we got there. Calamari was chewy. Other appetizer was incorrect. Entree was bland. Ended up going to another place for dessert and post-dinner cocktails rather than staying there.

    We celebrated my friend’s 30th here. The staff was very helpful pre-party, the food was amazing, but the service was very slow for a 4:00 reservation. We barely got enough food because of the lack of service, so we ended up eating somewhere else. I would go back, just not with 15 people.

    I took my family here for Mother’s Day and had a terrible experience. We were a group of 5 and were sat in the very back of the restaurant next to the bathrooms. We asked to be moved to a different table because of the traffic to the restaurant interfering with our table. We were then moved and ordered drinks that took 40 mins to come. When the drinks came they were watered down and warm which means that had been sitting around for some time. Our appetizers were ordered and we had to ask the server several times how long they’d be before coming out. It took about an hour to receive them. Once received our calamari was so extremely over cooked we had to ask for it to be remade. We placed second drink orders when the appetizers came because of how long they took the first time to come. Our entrees took an additional hour. Two of the 5 orders was completely wrong, like a totally different meal from what was ordered and had to be sent back. Two of the other meals had sides missing and when I asked about them we were told they ran out. No substitutes. The last meal was over cooked and under seasoned. Upon asking for a desert menu we were told the kitchen was now closed. When trying to order drinks we were told last call had come and gone. We were not notified of any of this. There was supposed to be a live jazz musician playing, there wasn’t. The music in the restaurant was not in English which was completely fine, it fit the ambiance. My group and a couple were the last two in the restaurant. Once that couple left, the restaurant changed the music to rap music and turned it up on our side which we all felt extremely disrespected by. I hate to bring in the race card but we are black and those are the vibes we were getting. Nevertheless, we are all college educated working middle and high class individuals. I paid our $400 something bill and still left an additional $60 tip for the server who was terrible. I’d never recommend this place to anyone not even to an enemy

    I hadn’t been here in probably about a year but had always enjoyed it. I believe the cafe next door is running the place now. Regardless, the point is, the menu is quite a bit different and the food mediocre. I don’t think we will be back.

    We came back to this restaurant because we loved it so much last year, but it’s nothing like it was. I know COVID is mainly to blame, but it was a letdown. There were only about two or three tables being used and yet the pace of the meal was terrible and we could rarely find our server. They no longer have charcuterie or anything on the turquoise menu for that matter. I hope this restaurant returns to its former glory after covid is done.

    AMAZING service and I truly cannot stress how delicious the food was. We ended up drinking more than expected so we were rather full (really recommend the white blend) but for the table we ordered the Mezze platter - holy cow we will be BACK!

    I was frustrated when we arrived as I booked my reservation at Bordeaux Wine Bar and when we arrived we were told that was closed and we had to eat at Turquoise which has a completely different menu. We stayed but felt like it was a bait and switch. The service was a bit slow, but otherwise had good wine and apps.
